I got a Roxette-tattoo on my back and a small Leif on my ankle with the peace-sign. I don’t have a picture of Leif, but from my Roxette-tattoo..

The two “t” ’s look a bit crooked (?), but they aren’t!
Leif is always a good choice :-)

@vix: good question! My tattoo is on my lower back and I hope it can’t be seen at all when I’m old..maybe I will be so fat that you only can see parts of the letters..*eg*
LittleGirl78 said on October 9, 2003 20:55:
yes, my tatoo is also on the backsite, on the shoulder, and I have problems to see it now, if I want to see it I need a looking glass ;D, so I think also if I´m 60 then it´s also OK, I don´t need go with a small looking glass to a big looking glass and watch my tatoo with 60 age ;D
I think that was a good idea and I´m proud about it, and I don´t know what is with 60, but I think the place is a good place what I´ve choice. ;-)

So you are looking for a few ideas here are some:
First of all you want something that doesn’t say: “HERE IS A ROXETTE FAN WALKING, CAN YOU SEE THAT I AM ONE” It should be something that only you and maybe fans will know about, like when you have a girlfriend/boyfriend you have your special little thing no-one knows about ...the same with roxette...you will want something that is personal to you and roxette...so if someone sees the tatoo they won’t tie it to roxette imediatly, but you and the fans will know that it is a roxette tatoo...if you understand what I am trying to say.
so you will basicly be walking outside ADVERTISING Roxette and no-one will know it except you and people who knows about it.
Joyride: Maybe you could have a pic of that cute little elephant they have on the front and back cover
Have a nice day: the letters “HAND” in the salter font they used for the words have a nice day on the cover or the motorbike in the roxette recordings logo
The Ballad hits: “The heart”
The pop hits: “The star”

How about that little motorcycle that appeared on de HAND-album? (was it) Think it supposed to be Marie and Per on a ride!
crashboom said on October 10, 2003 16:18:
well, iam thinking in having a rox tatoo, i will make the roxette word, with the HAND art work, and the word ROXETTE but in japannese, so, i guess this is a good idea: it says ROXETTE but in japanese, and looks so cool
and the idea of ths star from tph is a good one too or maybe something funny, that you choose with the word ROX, everybody will know that rox is roxette! i don’t know! i like very much the japanese idea!

@rox74ever: The 3 hearts means Halmstad, because Halmstad is called “the city with three hearts”. It’s sort of the sign of halmstad....
SOME INFO I FOUND ON HALMSTAD.SE
“The City with three hearts on its shield, which were a gift from the Danish King for the town’s brave defence against the Swedish.”
“In 1563, during the Nordic seven-year war, Erik XIV attacked Halmstad. The townsmen bravely and succesfully defended the city and Halmstad didn’t fall into Swedish hands.
To thank the inhabitants, Fredrik II gave them various tax concessions. When Christian IV eventually took the throne he also wished to show his gratitude to Halmstad.
The Lords of the country had had a heart in their coats of arms for three hundred years, and the King gave the city three crowned hearts. This was a warm Royal gesture and a slap in the face for Erik XIV. He had added Three Crowns to the national coat of arms, which symbolised Swedish supremacy over the three Nordic kingdoms, acc. S P Bexell) “
So this is why Halmstad is called the city with three hearts....
//GTiGessleland
PS: On the front page of halmstad.se, you can se the hearts in the top right corner

@Erweetiran:
thank you for your reply, youre right, i want something that just me and roxette fans know...
And i guess ill stick with the heart ... because of ballads hits.. or i can get a heart with a crown for ballads and Halmstad.... you know?
im still thinking bout it...
@Gtig:
Thank you so mcuh for the information about halmstad...
Now... all i need to do is see if i really want a tatoo ’bout roxette...

I have Leif on my right shoulder. Underneath that is my X-Files Tattoo and on my left shoulder, the crest of the Klingon Empire.
Scroll to the bottom. That’s where the pix of my tattoos are.

I’m gonna get a tattoo at the end of the year, I’m planning the letters “Marie Fredriksson” and her eyes under or over the letters. I want to have it on my back..:-)) Yeahh!
I love the special look in her eyes on one pic in the RS booklet, I mean the only one where Marie and Per are NOT sitting on a bed. LOL!
Of course I choose them for my tattoo..:-))

Yes, the name is quite long.
But when you choose the right size, it’s ok. :-)
I only want a small tattoo, not from one shoulder to the other.
I first thought about this pic: http://www.cinnamon-street.com/mariefredriksson/screengrabs/sldlm/big/CA... putting it left and right from Marie.

Rox74: Can I make a suggestion to you? Decide on something YOU want. I’ll tell you why. These tatttoos will be with you pretty much for the rest of your life. Even if you get it removed later on, YOU will still remember where it was. My step-dad has a tattoo of a Phish. Now, before Phish became popular as a band, this little emblem was something that most drug users used to identify themselves. My step-dad regrets it, but still has it, albiet faded.
It took me 5 years to decide on my first one: The Klingon Crest. My second one was Leif and I got him done 3 years to the day after my first one. My third one is the X for X-Files. I got that one done about 2.5 years after Leif. So, my tattoos have progressed to almost 10 years after my 18th birthday. Legally, I’m an adult and can get em done with no troubles or legal ramifications to the tattoo parlour, as my mother would NOT approve of one if I was under 18. I still have one more to get, and it’s just a matter of money.
If anyone is interested in the stories behind my tattoos (a bit different from what one might expect), email me or ask here and I’ll be willing to share. But remember, this has to be something YOU decide, because you have to live with it. Not us.
ally77 said on October 16, 2003 05:36:
Yeah I love Little Spooky’s Leif... so cool! We have a good tattoo parlor near me and have to admit for many years have been tempted to make a visit for something Rox releated.. cannot see me getting bored I mean fan for 12 years...
My Dad has just one the name “Valarie” something he had done when he was in the army in Germany... now slight problem my mother’s name is not “Valarie”!!! ;)
roxing-Jane said on October 16, 2003 05:52:
@rox74: It will be my first tattoo. :-)
@littlespooky:I needed many years too to decide if I really want to have it for the rest of my life.
I first wasn’t sure about the place and not 100% sure about what exactly I want, letters? A picture?
It’s really a hard decission, cause like you already wrote you have to wear it with you the rest of your life.
I personaly want to have a tatto which nobody else has, something personaly and special.
LittleSpooky said on October 16, 2003 06:43:
Door was slightly opened, so I’ll put this out and then just maintain:
February 14, 1998: I am a Star Trek Fan. Yes. I really dig the Klingons and think they’re pretty cool. I wanted a simple design to represent my love for Science Fiction. I’m not just a Star Trek fan, I also like Star Wars and others of that realm. The Klingon Crest seemed to be something that was simple, basic, cheap, and looked good. Still does and my ex-bf used to refer to me as his “little Klingon”.
February 14, 2001: My ex and I had just split the month before. I’d been royally depressed and didn’t have much going for me. I started messin with my step-dad’s bass guitar and then went and got it fixed. I asked him how much he wanted to sell it for, telling him I wanted to buy it. He gave it to me. I’ve been slowly teaching myself how to play and wanted something that represented not only my love for music, but for Roxette. Because if it wasn’t for constantly listening to Roxette’s music in some of the darkest times in my life, I wouldn’t be here.
There is something to be said for their voices. Solo and combined together that puts me physically at ease and let’s me relax. Their music clears my mind and prevents me from making some REALLY dumb decisions.
September 2003: I’d been contemplating my X-Files tattoo for a while. Getting back into the X-Files gave me something to focus on after the split with my ex, as well as Roxette’s music. I thought of the initials of the actors, the characters’ initials, many different ideas. I finally settled on X with 1993 above and 2002 below. The significance of that is: September 10, 1993, The X-Files debuted on a bastard network called FOX. Who knew that it would become a cult classic and run a gamut of emotions with the different mytharcs and such? I didn’t. 2002 signifies the end of an era. May of 2002 saw “The Truth” and Mulder and Scully racing off into the sunset to hopefully prevent colonization in 2012 (or there abouts. It’s after midnight and I’m dozing as I type).
I put that under Leif as I need a bit more room for my final tattoo on my left arm.
So... that’s the story behind each tattoo. They represent something significant to me:
My love for Science Fiction, Music, and the Unknown.
maiken said on October 16, 2003 08:06:
Hmm... I agree that you’ll have to put something YOU think is right! I know that the will to get a tattoo must be huge, I can say from my own experience, and that you want ideas thrown at you. :o)
So, I’ll throw my idea. Have you thought about putting a name of a song, something like “Shine Your Light” or “Crash! Boom! Bang!” (is it obvious that I’m listening to CBB-album?)
I took a tattoo last february, it’s a little music-note (the kind that is on the front-news page at the story of “Selling songs online in growth”, and I haven’t regretted it. Allthough it is still hard to believe that it’s never gonna get off. :o)
Anyway, do the tattoo, it’ll be with you for life. The only thing that will be! :o) Haha!!
Much love, Maiken

Have we noticed a theme though? Leif seems to be a popular little fellow...

A girl walks into a tattoo parlor...
“I want a tattoo of Roxette,
but you will have to hide them so
my parents won’t find out.” (or the army... ;p...)
“No problem!” says the inker, We can
put one face on each inner thigh.
“Cool!” So she sits back slides up her
skirt and spreads her legs and the
guy starts tattin’. A few hours later.. “Done!”
Horrified the girl gazes upon the worst
renderings of her fave pop duo she has ever
seen. “It looks nothing like them she screams!”
“Sure it does, anyone will agree.”
The tattoo artist walks outside and grabs the
only guy he can find (a very intoxicated fellow).
“Check this out dude, does that look like Per? and
on the other side, isn’t that Marie?”
The drunk replies “I don’t know but that guy in the
middle looks just like Lindquist!”
