Happy Canada Day!

To all the Canucks on this board, I hope you guys are having a great day today. Stand proud, guys!

Right back at you! Happy Canada Day everyone.

YEAH!!! Happy Canada Day Shane + Ana!!!

In typical Canadian fashion I think I should drink a lot of beer and play some hockey tonight.

Don’t forget to listen to some Anne Murray and Stompin’ Tom music!

And - remember to wear a toque!!!!!

I was about to start a threat with this topic when rthe word Canada caught my eyes :).

Yeah Happy Canada Day to all Canadians here. Not much fun in Vancouver though. They cancelled fireworks and most of the shows due to security. Apparently last year thing’d gotten out of hand :|!
At least there was no work eh?

same to you....Happy Canada Day from the capital!

I just heard that the voting on the 2010 Olympics location is down to South Korea and Vancouver - Austria was eliminated!!!

Final vote is in - congratulations to Vancouver-Whistler - see you there in 2010

Yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
See you all in 2010 here in Vancouver. I am so happy :D

sorry guys i missed Canada day boohoo

Ugh, I can imagine what the traffic is going to be like! D’oh! But good for the country nonetheless :-)

Anarem: Traffic? Are you kidding or what?! Having lived in California for 9 months, Vancouver traffic is just fine! You can get to anywhere in town within 40 minutes! There is never a non-flowing traffic. And oh... they are building new roads! Otherwise the committee wouldnt have voted for Vancouver! have you lived here ever?

i lived in vancouver for only 7 months .great place

@Damineh:

Did I say that Vancouver traffic was currently bad? No, I did not. What I meant was that in seven years’ time, it’s going to be bad, even with the new roads. You’ll have athletes, media, tourists... basically the whole world popping in. (and yes, I have been to Vancouver, it’s a lovely place.)

I think that was the whole point of having the Olympics in our town: to get the businesses going!

Well, duh, I did say that it was good for the country, didn’t I?
