Anyone ever go to the theatre

Just wondered if we had any theatregoers here. I try to go at least once a week, there’s some really good stuff about in the uk at the moment, on tour and in the west end.

Last time I went to the theatre it was about 3 months ago to see a comedy play!!! Brilliant!!! two guys absolutely crazy just talking to each other about their lifes, the world, war, etc.... Very fun!

I usually don’t go to the theatre, but I was there a couple of weeks ago. I saw a play by Moliére (“den inbillade sjuke”).
it’s a petty that you (that is me..) don’t go to the theatre more often...

There is a fantastic tour of a play called ’Noises off’ doing the rounds, it’ s at Birmingham REP next week and it is the funniest play ever. If you haven’t seen it, go, if you have, go again. There was a great production of ’Little shop of horrors’ in Leeds over christmas too at the west Yorkshire Playhouse.

I do love going to the theatre... not been for a year though but going to see “Whistle Down The Wind” in Manchester in the Autumn.

I went a lot ago for the last time with my friend Sylvie. She’s the kind of person who likes theaters and I didn’t have anything better to do :p

I love the theatre - especially the smaller, lesser-known shows - usually more fun and entertaining.

Santi: is that to say you don’t like theatre :)
I have some friends that are keen theatregoers, but I find myself being more amused watching the scenery, the lights, thinking: “how did they create that effect?” “what does that actor up there think when he watches the audience?”... LOL (it’s not always like this, it happens that a play can amuse me someitmes)

Movie Theatre or Theatre Theatre?

Movies, depends on what is on.

Theatre - Not really but next time Phantom of the Opera is i n town I am sooooo going!

never.
If I lived in a place as London I sure would go more often.
Anyone saw Mouse Trap?

Storm

I saw The Mousetrap a couple of years ago and it is the worst thing ever, it needs to be put down.

Yeah, last weekend I saw ’Chicago’ and ’Bombay Dreams’ in London.

How was Bombay Dreams? I really liked Chicago, almost as much as the film.

I like theatre, sure, but usually the smaller, off-Broadway types, more interesting and creative cuz they do a lot with a small budget.

The one play that catches my interest is “Avenue Q”, which is what you could call a subversive, seedy “Sesame Street”, with a bit of “Rent” thrown in there...it’s been getting raves all over the place and the demand for tickets is so high, they had to move “Ave Q” to a bigger theatre!!

Oh and the Blue Man Group kicks ass!!

hmm the last play i saw was cats...lol stop laughing. I havent been to the theater in about 8 years. I wanna see rent with frenchie from american idol in it cause she has such an amazing voice :)

Bombay Dreams is fun! At first I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was so much fun, very light material ofcourse.
Haven’t seen the film version of Chicago yet, but it will be so hard to even get close to the real-thing, I really loved it, good singing, great dancing!
The persons I know that saw the film where dissapointed, cause they expected a bit more Moulin Rouge, one of my favorites btw...
I also love The Phantom, really great story and beautiful music. Very curious about the film that they are shooting now.
Did anyone see the Aida version by Elton John and Tim Rice?

I fell asleep during the Phantom - had been a very long week and I kind of dozed off..... the loud sound effects at the end woke me up - I kind of jumped in my seat, which amused the people around me - rather embarrassing.
