OK people, who's working for VH1e, hands up :-)

I don’t watch VH1e all the time, but whenever I swtich to this channel they’re playing Opportunity Nox. When their “VH1 hits” show is on, Opportunity Nox is played. It’s not a new song, but they still keep playing it all the time. Also, they were playing ATAY damn lot last autumn / winter. I think a Roxette fan must be working there, as if there’s a new Roxette video out, for months it stays one of the most played clips.
VH1e plays only the best music videos, not mainstream US-crap that MTV does. Why can’t other channels play Roxette that much?

in a couple of months I’m going to work for a local radio station. it’ll be my job to pick out the music, stay in touch with the lables and stuff like that (no talking into mics). and i’m not going to play Roxette :P
StupidGirl said on June 7, 2003 22:34:
well... it’s an independent radiostation for young people. Roxette’s not what they want to listen to. And it’s not what we want to play.

i guess DO YOU WANNA GO WITH ME would be a great song with this alternative touch to bring “roxette” onto the playlist ;) but it’s not official released ... bad.

@stupidgirl a independant radiostation for young people sounds interesting.what happend to the radiostations for all ages???????and why not roxette ?its better than a lot of the crap what is on the radio nowadays hip/hop ok. rap ok. metal ok but not all the time.well anyway goodluck with the station. try roxette you never know
StupidGirl said on June 8, 2003 12:20:
They play Roxette quite often on the normal radio stations. We want to offer an alternative to them, so there’s no need to play Roxette.
We also want to support new bands. Roxette have sold millions of albums, they don’t need that support. I mean, of course, every band can use as much support and radio airtime as possible... but you know, people here are complaining when Roxette sell ’only’ a million of an album, but for other bands even 100’000 copies or less would be great.

@stupidgirl give it a go we have a lot of good radio stations here in Holland and i think that 538 is the best but at times they play crap music mostly rap related what happend to the good music and it is so typical of radio stations if they dont like it its not heard over the airwaves even up and coming groups/singers and yes they do deserve the chance so give it a shot and even the big radio stations dont play much of roxette or its allways the same song i cant get into all these changes in the music world i must be getting old the 70s. 80s and 90s will allways be the best in my mind
StupidGirl said on June 8, 2003 19:32:
@derek: there’s nothing wrong with rap. I can understand if someone doesn’t like this style, but I appreciate it. it’s not like I listen to rap all day long, but there are good songs, too.
I think Roxette are played by the big radio stations here in Switzerland quite often. And believe me, they wouldn’t fit the other bands that ’my’ radio station plays. I could consider a Gyllene Tider song, because we never get to hear that here...

@StupidGirl: Is there a place where we can send submissions? My friend is an AMAZING independent alternative artist who gets no airtime in Switzerland, believe me! (-:
StupidGirl said on June 9, 2003 16:44:
@roxtexanet: I don’t work there yet (I’m starting in Octobre), so I don’t know too much about working there. But as far as I know they get their music from the labels. So is your friend already signed somewhere?
If he or she already has an album out he/she could try to send it to the station. With some information about the artist. Mail me, if you want the address. I’d prefer not to publish it here.

@StupidGirl: I’ve e-mailed you at your roxette.org account. Thanks!

@coyboy
They won’t. Once I got an e-mail back from them telling me that the music they play is based on their viewers’ taste, located in Europe. So they will definitely not play US-crap, as they haven’t done so in the past few years since they began operating.
coyboyusa said on June 10, 2003 20:59:
