Versions of ON

I was just checking some airplay charts, and most top-40 songs are availeble in different versions. Wouldn’t it be an option for roxette to make a soft version of ON.... It would deliver much more airplay.

HAND, RS full of soft songs, Atay, Breathe, TBH a whole compilation. Are we not getting tired of softies? Let us have some POWER POP SONGS!!!

I agree with you, but for the airplay a more or less softer version beside the original one, could gain some airplay and sales.....

NAH, I’m sick of rocking tunes being toned down for the sake of airplay!! If it’s a rocking stomper that is a single, radio stations should play the song AS IS. Otherwise, you’re cutting the guts out. Really, radio stations not adding ON are showing what wimps they really are!! Per and Marie should stick to their guns, if radio can’t take it, it’s their loss...

I’m not a big fan of “Opportunity Nox” but still I think it would be a disaster to release a softened version. Without its energy this song’s lost...!

How exactly would they “soften” ON anyway? Replace the guitar with a saxophone like with ’Listen To Your Heart’? LOL.

Fading like a flower in the soften down / live version and things will never be the same in the acoustic way, definately don’t kill or rape the song..... But they seem to attract a wider audience... That’s what i ment, On with an acoustic guitar in it would be played on sky radio in Holland. (a sort of love / easy listening station and the BIGGEST one in Holland). I agree when you say the original ON version Rox and is the best, but looking at it in an commercial way, it wouldn’t be a bad option i think.... It’s done all the time with a lot of bands. In germany they often have the original version and an RnB and Dance edit on one single......

jason they could soften on by burrying the guitars in the mix and bringing out the synth parts they did it on flaf and au

Is the videoclip version a little bit different with some synth sounds???

I think roxette made enough soft songs the last year(s)........ I’m glad we finally get the uptempo album and songs!
