Roxette covers The Paris Sisters’ hit “I Love How You Love Me”
Written by tevensso on September 13, 2006 to Releases.
STOCKHOLM - One of the tracks included in the “The Rox Box,” the demo “Anyone/I Love How You Love Me,” is actually half a cover of The Paris Sisters’ hit “I Love How You Love Me.” The song, written by Barry Mann and Larry Kolber, was produced by Phil Spector and was a big hit in 1961, when it reached #5 on the Billboard charts on October 30.
The song has since then been covered by many artists such as Bryan Ferry, Ray Conniff and Chet Atkins.

I am assuming that the “Anyone” part of the song is the demo to the track that we all know as a single from Have a Nice Day. It’s interesting because the version of “I Love How You Love Me” has that old sound to it just like “Anyone.”
This should be an interesting listen.

I knew it was a cover the first time i heard it - there was an Australian band in the early 90s called the Teen Queens who did the song and I knew it was a cover of an old song back then

I’ve heard the demo, but I am wondering if it is any different than the demo version of “Anyone” that we’ve heard before.
I’m also interested how the two songs will mesh in this version...

Shannyn, i always thought she looked familiar. Now i know.
Now i’m even more curious about this demo.

Do Roxette really have to do a cover to include it on their RoxBox?
I always thought they have enough inspiration and talent to write their own songs...

Doing covers has nothing to do with lack of talent or inspiration. most of the time

I knew the title sounded familiar... I thought there was an artist that died in a plane crash some time ago had a song with this title too?!

Yes, Melanie Thornton, the former female part of the duo La Bouche was quite successful with I Love
How You Love Me.
She had such a wonderful voice.
Starrox said on September 14, 2006 12:32:
Melanie Thornton’s song had a similar title (Love how you love me), but different lyrics, so it’s not a cover of ILHYLM.

Didn´t know it was a different song. I can´t say if I know the Paris Sisters´ song or one of the covers.

wonderful balloon: Making covers has got nothing to do with talent, or the lack of it.
And you DO realise that Marie’s latest album was just covers?
