Cold or Flu??

I’m wondering about the difference between the two. I think they are caused by different virusses BUT is the flu as common as people make it out to be? I always thought the Flu was something verryyy serious. Sometimes i get the idea people with very bad colds claim they have the Flu when really it is mostly just a cold.
[edit] i think i have the flu :P

I have to admit never had Flu myself and never claimed to have it, the most I’ve had that’s been bad is a cold that normally always goes into a chest infection, but touch wood I’ve not had one for sometime.... even though when I was at work sometime back I stood near everyone to try and catch something....
I had my first flu jab last year, it worked and I can’t catch a bloody thing now!

Likely I don’t seem to get ill very often at all. I was very ill when I was 5 and was off school for 6 months. The doctor said back then that because I was so bad, my immune system will build up to be very strong in future. I remember having tonselitus (i know, not spelt right!!) for a morning once!! I even went to the doctor that afternoon and he asked me what I had taken to get rid of it that quick.... NOTHING!
I bet I get ill for next week now.....
Anyway, cold or flu. I don’t really know the difference. I just always thought that flu was a really bad cold? I don’t know.

Many people claim to have flu when really its a cold, flu is when your whole body aches, you don’t want to eat or drink and spend the majority of the day asleep, if you do manage to get out of the bed your head spins so much you have to lie down again.
