Why do ppl call every German a Nazi?

I’m only half german but I’m not a nazi and I do not like it when ppl think or say when somebody is from germany that they are nazis!I’M against nazis especially skin Head ORGS and NPD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Simple and hard to answer the same time.

Why do Germans think EVERYBODY calls them Nazi’s.

Kathrin: Considering that some of my family line comes from Germany (as well as other countries), I don’t think that at all. In fact, my ex is “First Generation German”. He was born in Germany, in Westfallen, and moved to the States with his family when he was about 10. They settled in Southern California and then he moved up here in 1995.

A lot of that has to do with improper teaching in schools as well as parents not checking their shit at the gate. There’s the stigma of the Nazis exterminating the Jews, and some Jewish folk won’t let the past die, and a lot of the Germans don’t stand up for themselves to say: “Hey! Piss off the past is in the past, this is not who I am, nor how I believe!” Why?

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learned:
It’s easy to make the accusation of someone being a Nazi, Anti-Semite, Racist, whatever. It takes A LOT for the accused to prove they’re not. I know, I’ve been accused of being a racist more times than I care to count.

I’ve never call a German a Nazi, I see no point in name calling like this as the war was such a long time ago and I see no point in living in the past.... In fact right now I’d rather live in Germany than the UK!

Kathrin, I don’t think it is fair to say that “people” (= all except the Germans) call “every German” a Nazi because this is not true! As a Non-German this misrepresentation would make as angry as being called a Nazi because I’m German. Maybe there are as many Nazis in Germany as people in other countries who call all Germans Nazis, namely only a few and they are equally stupid. I’ve once been called a Nazi and once been asked if Hitler is still alive in 25 years. So what? I told them to f*** off and that was it. It makes me angry of course you help it. Furthermore the reaction of people I met in other countries was very postive when they heard that I’m from Germany because they have relatives there, their origins are German, they once visited Germany, they think we are nice people or whatever.

An acquaintance of mine was an exchange student in Germany during 1996 - 1997, and she advised afterward that every German she met, upon learning she was from the USA, exhibited an aura of superiority coupled with an extreme inferiority complex. At supper, leaving perhaps three peas on her plate, she would be advised, “German students eat ALL of their peas.” Every thing she did, or did not do, was invariably compared against some “German” standard. “German students do not laugh as much as you do.” Or, “German students are capable of seeing the humor in (such a situation of the moment).” Nothing she did was ever correct, to her German hosts.

The history of the 20th Century is stained with evil acts the Germans carried out, and significant portions of the rest of the world, twice during the 20th Century, had to mobilize and beat them into defeat.

At the same time, they exhibit some utterly buffoon qualities. On my honeymoon in Mexico long ago, two separate German guys were strongly attracted to my new wife... she is an Irish Cajun from Louisiana. One of these Germans was a fat working-class bar dude who stayed drunk from dawn to night, and constantly hit on my wife (when he was not falling on the floor from beer). The other was a refined, cultured business executive, a polite fellow who arranged to abandon his entire family (wife and three kids) one evening, just so he could sit by my bride at supper, and talk to her. Go figure.

Oh, I forgot to mention something very important. We aren’t nazis anymore but a nation of complete idiots. We drink 24 hours a day, eat ALL peas and then travel to Mexico to pinch other people’s wife. That’s how we are. No arguing please!

I used to get bullied at school cos my parents parents were from ukraine ! and so that make me ukraine blood living in UK with a surname ie kuryliw( rox-kuryliw ;-D) , And i used to get called a nazi ALL the time, and kids used to say my parents are spies bla bla bla and my parents only lived cos they were fair haired and had blue eyes , how dumb these people are, they dont have a clue the guess have something that upsets you i guess. ! ! ! ! and this was at school about 8 years ago now up until i left ! so not mega long ago.

If i saw them now i would be tempted to use my german look 6’2 body to knock there blocks off lol ow how me grow lol i dont even know what a typical ukraine looks like, so anyone for ukraine wanna help me out what the typical ukraine look is lol

why do we call all jews cheap

why do we call all arabs terrorists

why do we think all black peopel are homeless

why do we thinnk all asians are good at math etc etc etc

coyboyusa eh , im never heard fo any of them sterotypes to be really honest !

Did anyone else see Schindler’s List and walk out of the theater looking for a German to beat to a pulp?

The Germans were the first modern nation with a government that commandeered its industrial machinery to systematically exterminate, on a massive scale, people belonging to targeted groups – Jews, homosexuals, dissidents, mentally impaired, Gypsies and others. That is a difficult thing to forgive or forget, especially while we still have individuals living who witnessed it.

Fortunately, Germany is weak now.

coyboyusa is on another planet again!

Oldag75 are you say that if germany was strong again, it would be the same as it was once before ?

*edits are for spelling issues*

No, Oldag, I did not come out of that movie wanting to beat a German to death.

Only a narrow minded, bigoted jerk would do something like that, and have those urges.

I came out of that movie with a better understanding of what took place in history and a stronger sense of self. I have German ancestory and am proud of that fact. German culture is rich with many distinct traditions. Yes, the genocide was an atrocity, however, committing a hate crime over it is completely and totally irrational, arrogant, and downright STUPID.

I don’t like it when others see Americans as “fat, lazy, and stupid”, but I tell you what, you’re beginning to make that last description a truth, rather than a misconception.

I have never ever heard anybody call Germans are “all Nazis”???? Maybe you Germans should get out of this “self-victimism”, nobody hates you more than others, all nations have killed masses and opressed nations. It is stupid to think that you still think the same and would start the same horror again, non of the German I have spoken too feels like that.

I suppose the Nazi example is more recent in our memory because it happened not even 100 years ago, and because it WAS horrible, for all the hate that was involved, but dictatorships ARE horrible.

For me the atomic bombs were as horrible, and people seem to have forgot that its effects are still visible and will be for ages to come, but of course, they are too far away and too poor? for us to have 3 silent minutes on August 6 and 9...

There where some lads once at my college years ago took the mick out of some German exchange students, we girls thought they where so stupid for doing it.... just goes to show how imature teenaged boys are!

I remember one time when one of my former co-workers “jokingly” called one of the German translators a Nazi and how Germany got its ass kicked during World War II.

The German translator got very annoyed by the comment, and replied, “Well, yes, you twit, but guess how many countries did it take to kick Germany’s ass? You all had to gang up on us.”

She by no means tolerates the genocide caused by her forebears, but she gets real tired of being labelled a Nazi, jokingly or otherwise.

as john lennon once said......all you need is love

ok. I think I’ll add something to this one!

I think it’s a word association thing. I think it’s like someone says “German” and you automatically think “Nazis” but I don’t think people really think or believe in their hearts that the German standing opposite them is a Nazi.

Hope I have made a little sense.

purps get out of my head :D

german ppl=nice ppl
my grandmother is borned there ;)

IMHO every man or woman, given the right reason and opportunity, and good healthy dose of passion can do anything in the name of religion, country and/or humanity.

I haven’t got a problem with any people/any race/any colour. The Channel Islands were the only part of the UK that were occupied by German forces during World War 2. There is a lot of bad feelings towards Germans here, mainly from the older people who stayed here for those 5 years under German government.

Personally though, it doesn’t bother me at all where someone comes from

Ragdoll: When someone says “German / Germany” to me, the first thing I think of is my ex. Then I think about the pictures of the beautiful countryside that I’ve seen, then I think about the German classes I took in High School, then various German built automobiles... very rarely do I associate “Nazi” with “Germany”... only when I’m doing studies on World history.

I’m shocked by Oldag75s comments. Being german myself, I don’t feel responsible for the holocaust/WWII at all. My own family suffered from the Nazis badly, they stood firm for their beliefs and didn’t join the blind masses.

*agreeswithSascha*

I find myself head-shaking about Oldag’s comments. Wow!
I guess the Holocaust has been the worst time in my grandparents life, just for the record...!
My grandfather never recovered from the injuries he received - both physical and mental. He was forced to fight, he never wanted to...but, hey...beat me to death when you meet me. I am just a German girl and for sure I am a Nazi..

it’s always the same.. you should first look at your country before trashing the others. Ever heard of KKK?

very true jud, i like how they want to cure homosexuals aswell LOL

KKK is even a much newer “invention” than the first thing the Americans did... the extermination of the indians!! So think before you write Mr Oldag!!

Even though I had this experience before I didn’t plan to write it here because I thought it was just bad luck. But since it has happened quite often I think I have to share it. I am not the one to blame Germans of being nazis or whatever, but this thing has actually given me a reason to blame them for something else.
The thing is that I am buying stuff quite frequently via Ebay (and other places) from all over the world. That way I do of course get in contact with a lot of different kinds of people. After a few years I must now say my general “opinion” about people... For example I can say that Asian (actually all over Asia) people are really friendly and almost overly polite. Same goes for British people. The Americans and French are friendly but tend to be a bit complicated from time to time. Other countries in Europe (like the Scandinavian countries, Austria, Italy, Spain and so on) I also have only good experience from. But I must say that I have never dealt with more rude and unfriendly people than Germans. Of course not all of them, but much, much more commonly than others. I really wonder why it is like this?!

You know, Yugoslavia was realy very much involved in a World War II... My grandmother was a little girl back then and she’s full of stories.... Anyway if anyone should (and I really don’t think that anyone should!!!) call German a Nazi then it should be someone from here, right? I can tell you and I’m absolutely sure that I have NEVER EVER in my 26 years of life heard ANYONE who did that. :) I’ve been to Germany this year and I loved it there. Although it was a business trip and only 4 days, I liked everything, especially people.

One more thing... I believe there are also loads of people thinking bad of Serbian people. Especially Americans (there was a story I heard how an American family was surprised when they found out that we Serbians also use microwaves and stuff, LOL - like we live in caves). But that is all because of the politicians and TV’s... That’s why we are here, to meet eachother and to find out how much we are ALL similar. We all LOVE Roxette. :)

By the way, I love all people. And I know people from all around the world. That is the nicest thing in life.

I really wonder why it is like this?!

Bad luck maybe? It’s a pity though. I am quite sure that there are a lot of friendly Germans to trade with (including me ;-))

I also wonder why it is like this...
I know Per’s experiences and have made quite similar ones. It can’t even be the language barrier in my case since we are more or less speaking the same language...

I was called a Nazi by my Grandma ’s neighbor in Hueytown Alabama when I saw that boy for the First Time But I am not a Nazi!
I get mad when ppl say that to me even though I’m not a nazi!

I’m against Nazis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, many people think I’m a bull-killer (bull fight) supporter just because I’m Spanish..

I often think I’d rather be German than British!

Why is that Ally? I have always seen British people as nice and friendly. I live in Austria and I think people here are great, but I still wouldn’t like to become Austrian. My heart is still Swedish. :)

Because I cannot stand being British, and every German person I’ve spoke to is nice... + it’s a nice country... it could be because I was born in Munich though!
