I forgot to mention that I do like Halloween, I think we should do more in the UK! :) I always dress the house up a little and have some sweets for kids that come knocking..... the only annoying part is when they come knocking 3 weeks in advance!

Halloween in the US has been unbelievably subdued ever since GW Bush took office in January 2001. The funding previously allocated to Halloween was all siphoned off to line the pockets of his rich oil buddies, and that “holiday” has never since been the same. The real “fright” from the former Halloween has been Bush’s policies – kids here wear GW Bush costumes and walk from house to house with guns in their hands, demanding that you give them money to fund the illegal war in Iraq. (They don’t want candy any more.) Right now, the New Orleans preparations for Halloween in the French Quarter – always, in the past, a huge gay event – have been quashed by Bush operatives who refuse to give aid to the flooded people there, or allow New Orleans gay folks to marry one another. It’s HORRIBLE. If you can do so at all, do NOT come to the USA... and do NOT take any money from the USA, because all of it is Bush Oil Money, stolen from poor people. Boycott funding from the USA, if you don’t live in the USA!!! “Do it now!”**

I thoroughly enjoy Samhain. Mostly because that is the one night that no one looks at me sideways because of my beliefs.

Fave party night of the year! Had a Rocky Horror party last year. Yes, I was dressed up in full Transylvanian Transexual gear. Fishnets the lot! Was so much fun! It’s slowly but surely catching on in South Africa. My friends and I start the beginning of October, doing horror movie evenings every Sunday night up until Halloween. Its great fun! Hey, one of these days the little critters might even come knocking at my door asking for tricks or treats! Lol.
Lil’Spooks: You wicca?! :o)

Carbon: Yes I is.
TinyBubbles: One of the 8 Sabbats of the Wiccan Calendar. And as soon as I find my book that has the information in it (as to what all 8 are and when they fall, I’ll post it *grins*)
