German Bands

Does anyone have any Faves?

BAP, Pudhys and Rio Reiser.

Nena

Nena, Rammstein, Guano Apes, Alphaville, Sandra

Some of my German faves over the years,

Modern Talking, Scorpions, Peter Schilling, Boytronic, Hubert Kah, Moti Special, Silent Circle, Alphaville, Camouflage, Fragma, ATB, Culture Beat, Sandra, Fancy

:)

Die Ärzte in any case and some of the new upcoming German bands like Wir Sind Helden and Juli.

Nena is the best artist ever, but from the 90’s it must be The Real McCoy!!!! How could anyone forget such songs as, ’another night’ or ’love and devotion’!! The were GREAT! Probably the first German band ever, to be much bigger in the US than they were in Germany itself.

Yeah, Real Mccoy was great danc/pop.
Culture Beat with “Mr Vain” and Snap with “Rhythm is a Dancer” are all worth mentioning also. All are German :)

Nena, I don’t really like her very much. But Falco was great :)

Reamonn, Sandra Cretu, Enigma, Scorpions.

@Euro4Ever

I thought Falco was Austrian?

Yes, Falco was from Austria.

Well, the Germans also took the honour of Mozart some time ago (which the radiostations here in Austria made a lot of fun about, hehe). ;-))

Maybe no favourites but I like Alphaville, Nena, Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Jeans Team and probably some more I can’t come up with right now...

The Donots

I alos Like Falco,Juli,Silbermond,Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärzte,OOMPH,Rammstein,Nena,Preluders,Overground,Scooter,Wolfgang Petry,Ferris MC,Sido,Afrob,Rio Reiser,Die Prinzen and Nina Hagen Band

Xavier Naidoo & Herbert Groenemeyer

Die Toten Hosen and die Ärzte are ok —> ok I think they are great.

nina hagen, rammstein , die toten hosen and guano apes. (to bad they quit)

Reamonn
Bell Book and Candle is also German ?

Thats right, Bell Book and Candle are German, I actually like them a lot. Sheryl Crow wrote a song for the Debut album and the whole world thought they would be huge world wide, not sure what happened that they actually didnt make it at all and also faded in Germany.

Camourflake (sp)

DIE TOTEN HOSEN !!!!!
DIE TOTEN HOSEN !!!!!
DIE TOTEN HOSEN !!!!!
DIE TOTEN HOSEN !!!!!
DIE TOTEN HOSEN !!!!!

@Biggestfan: GOOD TASTE ;-)!!!

bibi: i guess you like die toten hosen. i think they are great too. i really like campino. he looks great even after all these years.

One name‘s come to mind: SCORPIONS
That band write Germany on the rock hall of fame
Still loving you, can‘t get tired of this song
I think Def Leppard is also german, for me, that says it all.
In canada, we have some good singers to like Brian Adams, Alanis, Shania, and Celine, not bad for the u.s neighbors

No, Def Leppard is not from Germany.

PUR is also a german band

I really had to laugh very hard here, Def Leppard being German.. ha ha ha.. I wish they were!!! Would be great to have one of the biggest bands ever coming from Germany..

That really was funny..

@ Frisso: I love them!!! And you are right, Campi still looks gr8! I like him a lot, he is a great personality, I think!!! !!! !!! Vom is great too! He is always so funny, he always makes me smile :-)))! I really love his hair-style! Last night I was watching Rock am Ring and I saw their incredible performance! I really wanted to jump into my TV and take part in the party ...!!! !!! !!!
This band means a lot to me. I think the band-members are great people, it’s always so interesting to read/ watch interviews especially with Campi, I love their lyrics and I love their music!!! I am gonna see them live this weekend in Karlsruhe and I also have a ticket for the Dortmund and the Düsseldorf-show :-)! Can’t wait!!! Hey ho, let’s go! Do you like them as well?

die toten hosen
fury in the slaughterhouse

that’s about it. i can’t stand all those new bands that seem to “must have” a female singer with a weak voice, some guitar players and incredible stupid lyrics. but hej, just my little opinion...

@all who like dth: :-) saw them a few weeks ago (again) and also have ticket for düsseldorf. i wish it already was september!!

SEE YOU IN DÜSSELDORF for the Heimspiel ;-)))! I am gonna see DTH this weekend in Karlsruhe and also in Dortmund. Great that there are so many Roxette-Fans who also like the Hosen!!! HEY HO, LET’s GO!!!

@Bibi: oh, i’m jealous!! ;-) i’d love to see them again but it’s not many concerts close to my hometown and if, they’re when i’m on holidays etc... i look for hannover-tickets on ebay every now and then, who knows, i might get some. if not i’ll have to wait till september. :-( anyways, have fun in karlsruhe and dortmund!!

Frisso! They did not Quit you Lier!

die Ärzte, die Toten Hosen, Nena, Juli, Silbermond

that’s it!

@Kathrin: How about doing some research before calling someone a liar?! Frisso is right, the Guano Apes did quit!

Hej little-miss-sorrow!

Of course I will have fun in Karlsruhe and Dortmund. BIS ZUM BITTEREN ENDE ;-)!!!

Good luck on E-bay! I tried to get a ticket for the Oberhausen-show on 26.12. but I didn’t make it. The prices are INSANE!!! In case that you won’t make it, enjoy yourself in Düsseldorf!!! I will ;-)!

@ Lonely Girl: The JULI-album is nice! I like GEILE ZEIT and of course DIE PERFEKTE WELLE. Some lines in “Geile Zeit” remind me of my life as a Roxette/ marie-fan. For instance

(...)
Ja ich weiß, es war ne´ geile Zeit,
uns war kein Weg zu weit.
Du fehlst hier.
Ja ich weiß, es war ne´ geile Zeit,
hey, es tut mir Leid,
es ist vorbei
(...)
Du willst hier weg, du willst hier raus, du willst die Zeit zurück.

I mean I am quite realistic and I think that Roxette won’t go on tour anymore. It will never be again like in 2001 or even before.

@ all the HOSEN-fans here: I am wondering which are your favourite Hosen-songs?!?!?!

I like:

- Nur zu Besuch (I was crying several times when I was listening to this song...)
- of course all the classical Hosen-songs like “Hier kommt Alex”, “Wünsch dir was”, “Wort zum Sonntag”, “1000 gute gründe” ...
- Call of the wild
- Blitzkrieg Bop
- Smash it up
- Freunde
- Ich bin die Sehnsucht in dir
- Kauf mich
- Freunde
- Herz brennt
- Beten
- Bis zum bitteren Ende
- Mehr davon
- All die ganzen Jahre (I experienced every word of this song...!)
- Helden und Diebe
- Regen
- Year 2000
- Bayern (it will be a pleasure for me to sing this song along in the shows!!!)
- Pushed again
- XTC (that’s what I feel during great concerts!!!)
- Steh auf, wenn du am Boden bist (this song is probably written for students!!!)
- Long way from Liverpool
- Was zählt
- Alles wird vorübergehen
- Wunder
- Der Froschkönig
- Song 2 (even if they only play it in shows and it’s not their song)
- Reisefieber
- Mensch
- Paradies
- Schönen Gruß, auf Wiedersehen

but I obviously I like all the other songs as well... ;-))))))))))))

Hey ho, let’s go!

soooo well, my favourite songs from dth? i like a lot so i just mention those that i find myself listening to a lot at the moment (but this changes almost every day... ;-))

day dreaming
auswärtsspiel
zur hölle und zurück
herz brennt
all the “good old ones” like alex etc.
my alltime fave: niemals einer meinung

i also love nur zu besuch but i can only listen to it when i’m in a REAL good mood. otherwise it makes me cry...

steh auf is definitely written for students. at least i listen to it almost every day on my way to university... ;-)

@Bibi: ticket prices on ebay are insane, definitely!! i mean, 35 € for a ticket (seats) is not that bad. but not when it’s like 215 km from the stage... if i don’t get any i’ll wait till september, which will surely be fantastic!!

@ little-miss-sorrow: Hej from Karlsruhe! After travelling through almost half Germany I arrived in Karlsruhe today because tomorrow is the BIG DAY ;-)))!!! !!! !!! I am so excited!!!
I am wondering if thr Hosen are already in town as well?!

About the tickets: I have a standing ticket for Dortmund and Karlsruhe but unfortunately I only got a sitting place for the Heimspiel. I called the hotline of the Rheinische Post but they didn’t sell any standing places. I told the woman that I wanna have a place near the stage and I was so upset when I found out that she sold me a ticket for a place which is at the other end of the LTU-arena....!!! I wanted to scream. First I tried the Kauf Mich-shop but somehow it didn’t work! I couldn’t pay! I think there was something wrong with their server. So I decided to call the hotline. Unfortunately I couldn’t return the ticket and replace it through another one. I also checked Eventim but they only sold sitting-places as well! Nevertheless I hope that I will be able to enjoy the show ...!!!

About “Nur zu Besuch”: it’s the sadest song I have ever heard!!! I cannot listen to it too often either and I actually don’t want. I don’t wanna “destroy” it!

@Bibi: woho, so i guess you’re already on your way to the show now... have fun! ;-)

i also have seating tickets for düsseldorf, quite far away from the stage since we were not sure about going (due to lack of time) and bought them very late. but i don’t mind. i also had seats at the last show i went to and i have to admit i prefer seats to standing tickets when it comes to hosen-concerts! it’s not that i mind being pushed etc, it’s just: i don’t like to be somewhere in the front as i find it too pushy and crowded for me (i don’t like that) and when i’m somewhere in the back... i see absolutely nothing. so seats are quite ok. :-) btw, i found some nice hannover tickets on ebay so who knows, i might buy them.

btw, let me know how karlsruhe was!

edit: i’m just curious, where’s your seat in the ltu-arena? mine is in block 141. :)

HEJ!

Yesterday was a BLAST. I was actually quite in the middle of the front row (no risk, no fun... ;-)))!!!). People were pushing awfully but I survived it! I am covered with blue marks all over and all my bones are hurting!!! PUNKROCK in the front row - that was definitely an unique experience!!! I have been pushed from right to left and against the barrier and a few times I got the crowd-surfing peoples’ feet against my head. I was singing along all the songs. I was just a little bit disappointed that Vom wasn’t singing “Blitzkrieg Bop” since I love Vom so much and this song is one of my favourites. “Wort zum Sonntag” was missing as well and Campi didn’t use the rubber whale. Otherwise everything was perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Won’t forget this night!!! I took some pictures last night. I hope they turned out well!!! Campi was a few times right in front of me =))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))!!! During “Bayern” he was jumping into the audiences and he has been pulled out of the crowd from the security maybe 1 meter beside me. Andi went stage-diving as well.
Unfortunately I couldn’t take good pictures of Vom.

I wished I could see one more show except from Dortmund and Düsseldorf. Köln is unfortunately sold out. When I tried to get a ticket for the Köln show there were only sitting places in the back left.

I am gonna sit in block 31 in Düsseldorf by the way. I don’t wanna have a stupid sitting place *whaaaaa*!!!

By the way how is the atmosphere at the sitting places??? I hope that it is not boring!

hej! so you survived AND had fun! nice to hear. ;-) middle of the front row sounds quite scary though...

they didn’t use the rubber whale in bielefeld either so i have only seen it on tv until now. i hope it’ll be in düsseldorf! :)

btw, the atmosphere on the seats is quite great as well. at least it was on the shows i went to. i’ve never been to a show in düsseldorf but i’m sure the atmosphere there will be fantastic everywhere, no matter if you’re standing, sitting or buying a beer.

so you’re in blog 31. seems i can almost wave at you from the top of the hall then. ;)

btw, in case we bore anybody here, feel free to drop me a mail. ;-) the address in my profile doesn’t work anymore, it’s [email protected] for all now.

Hej!!!

I still feel each bone I have... I already thought about going to the pharamacy in order to get something against bruises... ;-)! I have to be okay again on sunday for the Dortmund show ;-)!

Actually I think that the front row is better than the second row because you have some space in front of you to breathe and you are “just” being pushed against the barrier and not against other people. Moreover you can cling to the barrier if you are not feeling well. Another advantage is that the security gives you water all the time.

I hope that they will use the rubber whale in Dortmund. Finally I want to see it!!! I’d like to sit with Campi in the rubber whale and have a ride through the crowd ;-o!
On the one hand it’s great that they always change the setlist slightly on the other hand you hear all the time what you have missed ;-( ! And so far I missed the rubber whale and Vom singing “Blitzkrieg Bop”! I was also a bit surprised that they didn’t play “Wort zum Sonntag” on saturday!! I always thought that this song belongs to a Hosen-show like the Amen to a divine service.

I can hardly believe that the atmosphere on the seats is great as well! I think it’s not really possible to be part of the show there. How are the people there? I hope that they are not boring...! Moreover I don’t like the idea to be so far away from stage! I think the LTU-arena is huge. I was shocked when I saw where my place is!! I think from my place Campi and the rest will look like little LEGO-figures!!! I don’t like this idea at all. It was so great when he stood directly in front of me. He was so close to me. I am just wondering why the sitting places in the back are so expensive!! I cannot imagine that you see a lot from there. So why the hell are these the most expensive tickets???

Of course the atmosphere in Düsseldorf will be fantastic since it is the Heimspiel...! It must be like seeing GT in Halmstad...! Nevertheless I am not so enthusiastic about this show because I cannot be really a part of the crowd. It will be very sad for me when the Dortmund show will be finished...! I checked all the tourdates again but I don’t see any chance to go to another show. It won’t be possible to go to Köln since I have no time on this day. And the other shows are quite far away from here. DAMN!!

Hihi I don’t think that we bore anybody. I think they already left this thread here ;-OOO!!If no one is around we cannot bore anybody. Sounds logical, or not ;-)?

I have to continue writing my dissertation now :-(((! I cannot concentrate at all!!

hej hej, well, i guess you’re right, we won’t bore anybody as nobody’s reading this anymore. ;-) so here we go...

vom sang blitzkrieg bop in bielefeld which was extremely funny. he looked so little standing on the stage and campino looked totally out of place behind the drums, in my opinion. :) i hope they’ll do that again in düsseldorf. as well as the rubber whale, do you mind taking me along on your ride? ;-)

i guess your seat was that expensive because it’s on the (what the hell is the english word for unterrang?? :) ) mine is up and was a bit cheaper, though it’s almost the same distance to the stage. campino and the others will probably look like lego-figures from there but i don’t mind too much. i’m sure it will be fun nevertheless. btw, do you know who the “guests” will be??

how often have you already seen dth in concert? i’ve not seen them that often, i guess düsseldorf will be my fifth time after düsseldorf 1997 (gez, i HAVE already seen them in their hometown... ), bielefeld 1998, sylt 2002 and bielefeld 2005.

Hej!!!

Haha maybe we should continue our discussion in the Hosen-forum ;-)! Are you registered in the “Bis zum bitteren Ende”-Forum? I am writing there occasionally and I am using the nick name “Sparvöga”.

You are very lucky that you saw my dear little Vom singing!!! I am envious!!! I like this guy so much!! He is so funny! Do you have the Rock am Ring-DVD? There is some bonus material about him on it =)))! I was very happy about it. I was so disappointed that he didn’t sing in Karlsruhe. I am already thinking about claiming loudly in Dortmund that Vom shall sing “Blitzkrieg Bop” ;-)!! Hopefully DTH will release a DVD after the tour and hopefully it will contain Vom singing this song!
I can really imagine that he looked funny and small on stage by the way =)!! He is so sweet! It would be great if it was possible to buy a Vom Fan-t-shirt! I’d definitely get one for me!! I like all the DTH-members but I think that Campi and Vom are the most interesting personalities and they seem to be a little bit more crazy than Andi, Breiti and Kuddel. I like that...!
Did you watch FRISS ODER STIRB on MTV. Did you see Vom eating the frog ;-)?

And did you see the videoclip of “Oddball” *LOLOLOLOLOLOL*??? It’s great!! I’d also like to see the Spittin’ Vicars live!!

By the way I don’t mind to take you along in the rubber whale, I am willing to share Campi with you ;-O!!

I am a pessimistic person and therefore I cannot really imagine that it will be fun on my seat!! But a stupid seat is better than no ticket at all!!

Don’t know which band will support them in Düsseldorf. The Hosen-page doesn’t tell anything yet. In Karlsruhe they were supported by Anti Flag from the USA. This was very much punk.

Karlsruhe was actually my first show. When they were touring with the “Opium fürs Volk” album y friend of mine wanted to visit the Krefeld show with me since this is our neighbouring town. But I wasn’t 18 yet and my parents had never ever given me the permission!!! They don’t like DTH. Therefore I didn’t go. At the time when they were touring with “Unsterblich” and “Auswärtsspiel” I didn’t think about visiting a show. Today I am quite angry with myself that I didn’t!!

Nowadays is the problem that I am writing my dissertation and therefore I cannot travel around too much. Moreover I am on my own and it’s not nice to travel around alone. I mean Dortmund and Düsseldorf won’t be any problem because I can drive home after the show. Karlsruhe wasn’t any problem either since my brother is studying there and I could stay overnight in his flat. Köln wouldn’t be a problem either but I have no time on this day. But I don’t really dare to go by car though half Germany, to cities that I don’t know and where I don’t really know where to stay. And moreover it’s also a question of time...!

I am wondering where you are comming from? I guess you are also from NRW?!

woho, so much to reply to, i’m sure i’ll forget most of it, sorry. ;-)

but first of all, it’s so nice of you you wanna share campino and your rubber whale trip with me. wahey! :-)

i’m not registered in the forum you mentioned. could you perhaps give me the link so i can have a look? i know there was a forum on the official homepage a while ago but it seems it’s gone...

i know the problem of going to concerts without having someone to go with! i mean, not with roxette and co, there are some great people i can travel to sweden with etc but when it comes to other bands nobody seems to have my taste. well, not true, my boyfriend also likes dth a lot and we went to the last concert together. but he doesn’t like to see the same show a few times. it was his idea btw, to go to düsseldorf, but only because it’s the final show.

i still wonder who the guests will be at that show. i remember 1997 when they had their 20th anniversary and had lots of brilliant guests. i don’t think it will be that big but some good bands would be nice. we had chencha beringes (???) as support act in bielefeld and they were so bad i almost drove home. honestly! awful!

i’m from nrw too btw. gütersloh, close to bielefeld. and you?

Hej!

>i’m not registered in the forum you mentioned. could you perhaps give me the link so i can have a look?<

Sure! You can find it on the following page:

http://www.bis-zum-bitteren-ende.de.vu/

>i know the problem of going to concerts without having someone to go with! i mean, not with roxette and co, there are some great people i can travel to sweden with etc but when it comes to other bands nobody seems to have my taste.<

I have the same problem with DTH! None of my friends likes them!! It’s too bad if you don’t have anyone with whom you can really share your passion for a band. I have some good friends with whom I share the Roxette-/ Marie-passion but unfortunately no one with whom I can really talk about the Hosen :-(((!

>well, not true, my boyfriend also likes dth a lot and we went to the last concert together.<

Lucky you!!

>but he doesn’t like to see the same show a few times.<

*LOL* I wouldn’t mind to see the same Roxette/ DTH show 100 times!!

>i still wonder who the guests will be at that show.<

I am sure that they will anounce it sooner or later on their website! I think their homepage is really good, it contains a lot and always quite updated!!

> we had chencha beringes (???) as support act in bielefeld and they were so bad i almost drove home. honestly! awful!<

Really? I think that Anti Flag were okay. I wouldn’t buy a CD though.

>i’m from nrw too btw. gütersloh, close to bielefeld. and you?

German bands... let’s see... Bell Book and Candle for sure. Nena, Scorpions... and what about Frameless, are they German?? I think so, I love them.
OHHH and don’t forget Milli Vanilli hahaha

lol, i have to confess something. lots of those german bands mentioned in this thread i don’t even know. could be because i never dare to turn on the radio these days... ;-)

yay, westphalia, east westphalia to be specific. ;) so you’re from bonn. i always have to travel through bonn when i’m visiting one of my roxette friends.

thanx for the link. i already had a look on that page and i think i’m gonna register soon. :-)

uh, whom i like more? if i had to choose i’d always choose roxette! they’ve been with me for more than half of my life and i’ll surely never stop telling people what my fave band is!! BUT i find myself listening to a few other bands as well, whom i would call “favourite” bands as well and dth definitely belong to that. to be honest, they’re the only band together with fury in the slaughterhouse that i find it worth going to concerts for...

as it comes to favourite bandmembers, i’ve always been one of those “rotten-per-fans” (i love this expression from sparvögamarie - yay!! :-)), so i guess it has to be per. which does not mean i don’t like marie, i’d travel for her as well as i do for per and gt. from dth i think i like campino the most. though it’s kinda unfair as lead singers and songwriters always get the most attention. but i can’t help it... ;-) (do i have to mention my fave band member from fury is the lead singer as well?) what about you, whom do you like most?

It would be cool if DTH would play in TBB!

Sorry Frisso! I think ya right I just found an old Yam!Magazine dat said that

it would be cool if dth played in my living room. well, no, not really, i guess. i like my furniture. ;-)

Hej!

First of all: please invite me in case that you gonna win a magical mystery gig one day ;-)! Did you see the one in Primasens on MTV ;-)?!

>yay, westphalia, east westphalia to be specific. ;) so you’re from bonn. <

Well, I am from Moers but I am studying in BN. I spend my weekends and my holidays in Moers. Otherwise I am in BN.

>thanx for the link. i already had a look on that page and i think i’m gonna register soon. :-)<

That’s great :)! Just replied to someone who told that “Nur zu Besuch” is not about Campis mother but about another tragical event in his life. Sounds quite unlikely to me...! For me it’s obvious what this song is about!! I felt a little bit sorry for Campi when he cowered down in front of Voms drums and bended his head when the song was finished. It seems to be still hard for him to sing this song. I think especially in Oberhausen it was difficult since this was the day when his mother died.

>uh, whom i like more? if i had to choose i’d always choose roxette! they’ve been with me for more than half of my life and i’ll surely never stop telling people what my fave band is!!<

I think DTH and Roxette are two different pair of shoes. It’s a different feeling to be a DTH-fan. I don’t really know what is different but there is a difference. Maybe that I didn’t hear anyone screaming hysterically?! Moreover my impression is that the band has a different attitude and a different contact to the fans! They seem to be closer to us than Roxette in a certain way.

>as it comes to favourite bandmembers, i’ve always been one of those “rotten-per-fans” (i love this expression from sparvögamarie - yay!! :-))<

Hihi I have always been one of these crazy Marie-fans ;-)!

>from dth i think i like campino the most. though it’s kinda unfair as lead singers and songwriters always get the most attention. but i can’t help it... ;-)<

Right. He is sort of face of the band! I think it’s naturally that we like Campi most because he is the one people know most about. I mean I don’t know anything about Breiti’s and Andi’s privatelife. At least not very much. I know that Breiti has a girl-friend and I read a little bit about their youth but otherwise there isn’t anything known. Then I know a bit about Kuddel and everybody’s darling VOM. But of course I know much more about Campi. His personality impresses me and he went his own way. I think it’s funny that his parents were so conservative *LOL*. It’s always so interesting to listen to him or to read interviews!! About Vom I like that he is so crazy and always so funny!

What are you studying be the way?

Haha it would be cool if DTH played in Moers!!! In the early 80s ( I think in 1982) they played a show here but I was just 2 years old at that time! Nowadays it’s quite unlikely that they’d come to Moers since we don’t have any suitable venue for so many fans!

hej!

first of all, you’re invited if dth ever play in my living room. though i’m not sure if i want that, i really like my furniture and the rest of the house and i don’t think there will be much left of it after a concert... ;-)

i also heard about “nur zu besuch” in oberhausen. so sad. :( in bielefeld a guy from the audience entered the stage during that song (stupid idiot!) and wanted to sing with campino. but he just turned around and went away.

i already thought about getting a t-shirt with “rotten per fan” on it. :-) if there’ll ever be a roxette tour again (which i don’t believe but hej, IF) i’ll definitely make one and wear it! LOL.

yeah, it’s true that it’s easier to find out things about campino than about the rest of the band (if one is interested). it’s not that i’m keen on private facts but it’s nice to have a bit of a picture on your mind, if you know what i mean. i’m reading the book about dth at the moment, it’s so funny and interesting!

i’m studying sociology btw, and you? it’ll probably take me another two years to finish...

Hej!

>first of all, you’re invited if dth ever play in my living room.<

Thanx very much ;)! I am sure it gonna be FUN!!

>though i’m not sure if i want that, i really like my furniture and the rest of the house and i don’t think there will be much left of it after a concert... ;-)<

You can leave your furniture in the basement or wherever ;)! I think my parents would kill me if I invited DTH to play a magical mystery gig in our house. Though I like the idea to have a crowd of DTH-fans in our house and also in front of our house and Campi jumps out of our kitchen window ;-)! It was so funny when Vom jumped out of the window in Pirmasens and he ended up between the bins ;-O!

>i also heard about “nur zu besuch” in oberhausen. so sad. :(<

Yes! I read that he almost lost the countenance and he laid down in front of Vom’s drums. I was quite moved when I saw him cowering in front of the drums in Karlsruhe. Did you read the GALORE-interview? I bought the magazine but you can also find it on the official DTH-website. Campi explained that he tries to switch-off the emotions which arise in him when he sings this song but he doesn’t always succeed.

>in bielefeld a guy from the audience entered the stage during that song (stupid idiot!) and wanted to sing with campino.<

This is tasteless. Some people simply don’t know what is right and what is wrong...! Everyone knows what this song means to Campi and also the rest of the band. So how could this guy believe that Campi is willing to sing THIS song together with him? If I was Campino I’d be upset!!!

>but he just turned around and went away.<

Which was absolutely right!!

>yeah, it’s true that it’s easier to find out things about campino than about the rest of the band (if one is interested).<

I just found two interviews with VOM *whaaa*!!

>it’s not that i’m keen on private facts but it’s nice to have a bit of a picture on your mind, if you know what i mean.<

I think I know what you mean. I always want to know how this person is that I am worshipping. And without any private facts you cannot know if it is right or wrong to worship a certain person. Moreover you understand some songs better if you know the private background. I have to say that I don’t agree with every attitude Campino has and of course there happened a few things in the past which were not right but nevertheless I am fascinated by him and I admire him. For instance I don’t like that they recorded some Christmas songs in a punk version. That’s tasteless and I boycott this album. Of course all these drug-experiences weren’t right either even if it sometimes sounds funny when they tell how drunk/ full of drugs they were during their shows - well not only during their shows. Or when you see old pictures on TV and it’s obvious that they are not sober at all. But on the other hand I admire them because they went their own way and it was also brave to play concerts in churches in the EX-DDR and things like that. I also like that Campi seems to be a thoughtfully person. I simply cannot believe that he is superficial. I don’t believe either that DTH are ignorant people.

>i’m reading the book about dth at the moment, it’s so funny and interesting!<

Probably the one that I was reading as well...! Are you reading the official one from the DTV-publishing company? It’s only a pity that Vom wasn’t in the band yet at that time ;-( ! It would be great if they published another book!! Or imagine if Campi wrote a book about his life...probably I’d finish it within one night. He writes in a diary for ages. It would be a good basis... ;-)! One of the “Freunde des Hauses” on the DTH-page said the same in an interview: that he wished that Campi wrote a book...

>i’m studying sociology btw, and you? it’ll probably take me another two years to finish...

so here i am again (listening to helden & diebe :-) )...

my parents would kill me too. we just renovated the house in february so i’d definitely have to move out before a hosen concert. :) though my dad likes them. but he seems to like everything i like, he even went to a roxette concert in 1994. btw, yes, i have seen the magical mystery concert on tv, it was great fun. i guess i have to find a friend who is willing to offer his/her house!

i read that galore interview on the homepage, really sad. i don’t think the guy in bielefeld really knew which song was played when he entered the stage, he was just happy he was on stage. but nevertheless, he only left the second time campino turned away, he should have known earlier!

(listening to lesbische schwarze behinderte now :-) )

i agree with you on all the things you wrote about their past, it’s probably not been the best way of life in earlier days. but they knew when to stop and that’s something very important i guess. and the songs wouldn’t be that “real” without those experiences, you know what i mean?

yes, i’m reading that official book. i bought it from the kaufmich shop some weeks ago. campino writing a book would be interesting, i guess. ;-) i’ll go and buy verschwende deine jugend tomorrow btw, you made me curious!!

i already thought about writing my dissertation about music. let it be about roxette or dth or whatever. it’s just, i have to find a prof who likes that theme and considering my profs i’m not quite sure about that... :( but i have some time before i have to worry about that. good luck for yours btw!! i’m studying in bielefeld. :)

i’m also still thinking about going to hannover, i’d like to but my boyfriend has no time on that day and besides, he is not soooo keen on seeing another show. and i don’t really know if i wanna drive to hannover on a friday afternoon all on my own (i hate motorways!! ;)) though i did that for roxette on a saturday morning so... dunno. i guess i won’t go but it’s nice thinking about.

may i ask for how long you’re a dth fan now?

God morgon!

>so here i am again (listening to helden & diebe :-) )...<

I like this song very much =)!!

> though my dad likes them.<

My parents don’t like DTH at all and they weren’t happy about the fact that I bought some tickets for the shows! But what can they do? They say that I am old enough to make my own decision. They know that they cannot stop me.

>but he seems to like everything i like, he even went to a roxette concert in 1994.<

*LOL* my parents don’t like everything I like/ I do...

>btw, yes, i have seen the magical mystery concert on tv, it was great fun. i guess i have to find a friend who is willing to offer his/her house!<

My 22m2 flat in BN is unfortunately too small for a gig like that! I wished I had been in Pirmasens. The girl who won the gig is so lucky!! Though I have to say that I wouldn’t like to live in the house she lives in ;)!

>i read that galore interview on the homepage, really sad.<

I agree. But it was a great and very personal interview and I wished there were more of these interviews. My dream would be to interview Campi one time in my life...!

>i don’t think the guy in bielefeld really knew which song was played when he entered the stage, he was just happy he was on stage.<

If I was Campi I would be disappointed about my fans. I mean this guy didn’t respect Campi’s feelings at all and this wasn’t right. What kind of fan is this? I mean everyone know what this songs means to him!!
I have to say that I do respect the whole band very much. I respect them as normal people like you and me and I respect their privacy. I never considered them as stars but as normal people and I never disturbed them. I wasn’t even screaming hysterically when they came on stage. It would be quite easy for me to go to Düsseldorf to their office. I’d be there within no time. But I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t go to their hotel either. I wouldn’t even talk to them if I met them in Düsseldorf or at Düsseldorf airport (I mean this is not so unlikely...) or whereever. But I don’t wanna disturb them and moreover what should they say if I told them that I like them? I wouldn’t like to have a meeting like this. But it would be definitely great to make a serious interview with them (but not for a stupid magazine like BRAVO). This would be definitely an interesting meeting. I like the motto “No more heroes” in a certain way and I don’t consider DTH as popstars like I consider Roxette as heroes.

>but nevertheless, he only left the second time campino turned away, he should have known earlier!<

I am sorry for this incident! And as I said, if I was Campi I’d be disappointed about fans who don’t respect my feelings and who don’t know when the right moment is to make party on stage!

>i agree with you on all the things you wrote about their past, it’s probably not been the best way of life in earlier days. but they knew when to stop and that’s something very important i guess.<

Right! Even if I have to say that there happened things in the past which were definitely not right (like taking drugs, stealing small things...) I have to say that I admire them because they noticed that they went a wrong way...! And they also changed their attitude and today they have gained a point of view where they also they that it wasn’t right what they were doing. It was also interesting when Campi said in an interview that he would do everything so that his son goes a different way...!

>and the songs wouldn’t be that “real” without those experiences, you know what i mean?<

Right. They refelect their life. Their songs aren’t just invented stories.

> campino writing a book would be interesting, i guess. ;-)<

I am sure he had a lot to tell...!

>i’ll go and buy verschwende deine jugend tomorrow btw, you made me curious!! <

Well, some parts are boring but it was definitely interesting to read what Campi had to say. Moreover I was interested in it to learn something about this time because I didn’t expereience it myself.

>i already thought about writing my dissertation about music. let it be about roxette or dth or whatever. it’s just, i have to find a prof who likes that theme and considering my profs i’m not quite sure about that... :( <

Hehe I found a professor who even agreed to “Dorfpunks ;)!!! he is old but great!! Very open minded. Recently he told us that he is worried that our society becomes “spießig” again and that it is our task to avoid that *LOL*.
I think it would be interesting to write about which people are listening to DTH...!

>good luck for yours btw!!<

Thanx! I need that. At the moment I amnot really productive. I don’t really know what to write and I spend most of the time staring on my screen.

>and i don’t really know if i wanna drive to hannover on a friday afternoon all on my own (i hate motorways!! ;))<

I hate motorways too. I’d take the train but then I had to find a hotel/ hostel where I can stay. I also had to find it if I went by car since the way is too long to go back to Moers in the night. Moreover I had to get a ticket from Ebay first. Nevertheless I am still thinking about it since Hannover is possible. It’s not too far away. I mean I am not willing to travel just for a festival where they are only playing a few songs. I am stuck with work, I don’t have so much time now. But for a whole show it’s worth.

>may i ask for how long you’re a dth fan now?

I love Modern Talking , Blue System , Bad Boys Blue , Peter Schilling , CC Catch.

Hej little-miss-sorrow!

You should visit the DTH-forum which I recommended to you! There is an interesting discussion going on about “Nur zu Besuch”. An anonymous user came with new aspects about this song that I didn’t know. I am definitely in a confused and curious state of mind now...!

hej bibi! i’ll reply tomorrow, gotta go now, sorry. just wanted to say hi. ;-)

I can wait ... ;)!

well, here i am again. :) hi!

about the magical mystery gig, you’re right. the gig seemed big fun but when it comes to the house... no way, thanx. ;-)

same here when it comes to meetings etc with dth. i would never ever walk up to them to say hi or anything somewhere in the street, i’m not really interested in that. meeting them at a magical mystery gig would be cool for example, or a party after the show like they did on sylt in 2002 but a “private” meeting like for example with per at the hotel? no way!

i’m also not willing to travel to a festival for dth, when they only play like an hour or something. my boyfriend and me thought about going to open flair but when we saw that a ticket for only one day costed 30 € (it’s 48 for all three days, stupid!!) and there were only stupid bands except dth we cancelled that plan. i’m still thinking of hannover though but i guess i won’t go. it’s only like one and a half hours from where i live but... i don’t know.

i started to like dth when i won one of their cds in 1994. LOL. :) that was funny. one saturday morning the postman delivered reich & sexy 1 to my home, i had won it in a magazine. first thing my dad said was “hell, they’re all naked on the cover!” LOL. well, from then on i liked them, bought the albums and went to my first concert in 1997. i always liked them through the years and always bought the new albums but only ended up on 4 concerts. cause most of my friends were not so keen on seeing them.

i read that discussion about nur zu besuch on the other forum (i’m still not registered, shame on me). quite interesting and it made me a bit curious but we will probably never find out...

will you go to the dortmund show tomorrow or on sunday?

Hej!

>same here when it comes to meetings etc with dth. i would never ever walk up to them to say hi or anything somewhere in the street, <

I’d respect their privacy. Moreover I am sure that they are not really eager to talk to a fan anytime. I have to admit that I wouldn’t know what to tell them. It would be a bit stupid just to say “Hey, I like your music!”. And what should they answer me? I wouldn’t like to have a meeting like that. I wouldn’t go to the hotel after the show either. I respect them as normal people who also want to have their privacy. I think they appreciate it if you know when you are welcome to talk to them and when it’s better to leave them alone. I think they already give their fans a lot anyway, more than other bands.

>meeting them at a magical mystery gig would be cool for example, or a party after the show like they did on sylt in 2002<

Right! That would be great because they play the magical mystery gig on their own free will at your house. It was their decision to come to you. I wouldn’t like to win a meeting either because I don’t want that they have to be friendly to me just because I am the winner of a stupid competition. Same goes for Roxette by the way.

> i’m still thinking of hannover though but i guess i won’t go. it’s only like one and a half hours from where i live but... i don’t know.<

I am still thinking too but I don’t know yet how to make my dream come true...! On the other hand this is not a completely impossible mission. It’s so easy: get a ticket, find a hotel and buy a ticket for the train. The most difficult thing will be to get a ticket though!! Maybe I will regret it if I won’t go there...

>but only ended up on 4 concerts. cause most of my friends were not so keen on seeing them.<

None of my friends like them!!

>i read that discussion about nur zu besuch on the other forum (i’m still not registered, shame on me). quite interesting and it made me a bit curious but we will probably never find out...<

I didn’t know that his mother got a funeral at see and this fact puts the song in a different light...! I always thought that he sort of discribes how it is when he visits his mother but now I have to say that it seems to me that the song is about loss in general. The anonymous user promised me to explain me more by e-mail this weekend.... Dunno if he/ she will do it or not. We’ll see. I am curious anyway...! There seem to be some secrets that we don’t know yet...! I am wondering why Campi cannot talk about this girl?!

>will you go to the dortmund show tomorrow or on sunday?

Hej little-miss-sorrow!

Just want to let you know that Dortmund was a blast last night!!! I was in the front row again...!!! It was sensational!!!

hej bibi! sorry i was gone for a while but there’s that stupid thing called uni... ;-) soooooo, you had a blast in dortmund AND survived the front row again? great! i finally decided not to go to hannover... i would have to drive alone and still get a ticket on ebay plus i bought some concert tickets to other bands so i’m broke... :) but düsseldorf is still to come so i’m satisfied with that. i also went to a concert on saturday, fury in the slaughterhouse, which is always brilliant. AND i dare to stand in the front there! ;-)

would be great if you told me a bit about the dortmund show! anything special? did vom sing blitzkrieg bop finally?? ;-)

Hej hej little-miss-sorrow!!!

Yeah I actually survived the front row again in the boiling pot...! I stood quite in the middle. I think that Dortmund is always a special things since it is the German pop-Olymp, as Breiti said in the book that both you and me were reading ;-)! Of course it was very pushy again and everyone was dancing pogo but for some reason I didn’t have so many bruises like after the Karlsruhe-show. Dunno why. Maybe your body simply gets used to it... ;-)!
What can I say about the show? Dortmund rocks! It was a blast!!! The Hosen slightly changed the setlist and this time they played “Beten” and “Wort zum Sonntag” which I really missed in KA! Unfortunately no “Blitzkrieg Bop” again. Aaaaaaaaaaarg this kills me!!!
During “Walkampf” Campi climbed on a rubber whale. It was not the big one though but the small one he already used at ROCK AM RING. I took some photos of it and I hope that they turned out well.
Aah! And I have to tell you that I took a gulp from Campi’s bottle of water =)))!!! I simply couldn’t resist ;-DDD!!! I liked the idea so much that he was already drinking from this bottle as well!
During “Nur zu Besuch” a stupid idiote started bawling. I was so upset since he ruined the beautiful atmosphere in my opinion! Some people simply don’t know how to behave!!! But maybe this guy was drunk. I dunno. Fortunately he stopped with it after some time but nevertheless I felt sorry
for the band that this happened.
Campi went stage-diving from the loudspeakers during “Bayern” - like always. Andi was jumpig as well but I didn’t see his jump since the security had to pull a crowdsurfer out of the audiences over my head.
When the doors opened it was no problem at all. There was a lot of discipline and no one was pushing. It was quite hot in the venue though due to the 30° outside. We were sweating awfully.
Otherwise it was a normal Hosen-show. I saw two cameras standing around and I was wondering why and what the hell they were filming there!!! It would be too great if they released a DVD. I ordered the FRISS ODER STIRB-DVDs yesterday by the way. They should arrive tomorrow =)
Well, next time I won’t be in the crowd which makes me really, really sad. But what can I do? I am absolutely not so enthusiastic about the Heimspiel and I feel very sorry for myself that I just have a sitting place far away from stage for which I payed a hell of money. I am so sad that I have no words and there is already the big black hole...! When the Dortmund-show was finished it was as if the whole tour was finished for me since I cannot really count the Heimspiel...! It is as if there was nothing left.
For 99,9% I won’t go to Hannover either. It’s not that I am not willing to put any efforts in it to see that show but I fear that it will be hot in the beginning of july. I can tell you that it was terrible in Dortmund...! Fortunately I could wait in the shaddow until the doors opened...! I’d really love to see DTh again before the Heimspiel but I dunno how to make it. Moreover I am stuck with work with my dissertation. It’s such a pity!!
Did you enjoy your concert?
By the way I am wondering who you really are and if we met at any Roxette-show in the past?!

PS: Isn’t Campi’s birthday tomorrow?

hej hej! thanx for your little story about the concert, sounds fantastic! my concert on saturday was great as well, i’ll go and see fury again in two weeks and in september. they’re really brilliant live!

yay, it’s campino’s birthday today, right? he’s old. ;-) 43?

did you see featuring on viva today? it was about dth. i only saw like 5 minutes of it cause i had to leave but it was fun! about the tour, all the people that are on the road with them etc. i wonder if it will be shown again... btw, did you already get your dvd? if yes, what is it like? i didn’t buy it yet but will when i go to a shop the next time.

well, i guess i know who you are. :-) i don’t think we have ever met in person (but i’m not sure about that) but i guess i know at least what you look like and we have probably been waiting at the same location once or twice. :-) to be honest, i had a little glimpse at your webside and there was something written about you holding a heart on one of marie’s shows, so i think i remember your face from somewhere... i’ll mail you a pic of me when i find a good one so you can say if you know me. :)

Hej!

>hej hej! thanx for your little story about the concert, sounds fantastic!<

Yeah, except the fact that they didn’t play “Blitzkrieg Bop” and Campino wasn’t holding a fire in his hand during “Wort zum Sonntag”. Some fans were complaining in the forum that the show was quite short. But I have to say that I enjoyed it. It’s so strange. I was waiting for this day for almost one year and then it’s suddenly over.

>my concert on saturday was great as well, i’ll go and see fury again in two weeks and in september. they’re really brilliant live!<

I am happy that you have something you can looking forward too!

>yay, it’s campino’s birthday today, right? he’s old. ;-) 43?<

43, that’s correct.

>did you see featuring on viva today?<

No I didn’t but I guess that it is the one which I already recorded some weeks ago! I read on the Hosen-site that it was supposed to be repeated on 15.06. which was last week. When I switched on the TV I just saw stupid Farin Urlaub instead of Campi & co. So I guess that they anounced a wrong day on the Hosens-ite. But I had already recorded it anyway. So it didn’t matter. There is actually a documentation about Campi called “Campino und der liebe Gott” that I haven’t seen yet and which I’d really, really like to watch!!! I hope that it will be repeated on TV one day but I have some doubts that I’ll be so lucky. I am dieing to see it!!! Just follow the link! You can see a short part of the documentation there if you scroll down!

http://www.radiobremen.de/tv/archiv/campino.html

>btw, did you already get your dvd? if yes, what is it like?<

Yeah it has been already delivered! It arrived yesterday. It was fun to watch it!!! It contains some episodes which haven’t been shown on MTV. Great!!! There is one episode about the Hosen going horse-riding. It was good fun for me to see that since I am a rider as well ;-O! It also contains an extended version of Vom’s performance when they went camping...! What else? There is also a lot to see about ZK, some old videos of Andi’s childhood and videoclips. And of course you get all the episodes which have been shown on MTV =)))! If you ask me this DVD-Box-Set is a must have!!! I have to say that it’s really interesting to see how all the band-members are living. It’s so great that they allow us to get a glimpse of their house/ flat from inside!!! I heard that some extra material has been added to the episodes but I haven’t checked it yet. I mean I already saw all of them on MTV a few times and of course I was more interested in watching the bonus material yesterday!!

>i didn’t buy it yet but will when i go to a shop the next time.<

Do it!! You will have a lot of fun with it for sure!!!

>well, i guess i know who you are. :-) i don’t think we have ever met in person (but i’m not sure about that) but i guess i know at least what you look like and we have probably been waiting at the same location once or twice. :-) to be honest, i had a little glimpse at your webside and there was something written about you holding a heart on one of marie’s shows, so i think i remember your face from somewhere...<

Uuuuuuuuuuuuf my two MF-websites...I haven’t updated them for AGES. Do they still work??? I simply have no time for something like that at the moment!! I think I didn’t even tell in the news section that a new MF-album is gonna be released...! But anyway, yes that’s me and I actually didn’t change too much.

>i’ll mail you a pic of me when i find a good one so you can say if you know me. :)

Guano Apes‘s cover of Big In Japan was horrible. How dared they rape such a beautiful pop song?

Hej! How come that I didn’t hear from you for a few days, little miss sorrow! Just have to share with you that I laid my hand on a ticket for the Hannover show!! Got one on EBAY 8-)!

hej hej bibi!! so i was gone again for some days, sorry. so much to do... buuuut, you’ll finally go to hannover? that’s so cool! i hope you’ll have a lot of fun! who knows, vom might finally sing blitzkrieg bop. :-) you got a standing ticket?

did you see the performance at live8 yesterday? i have to admit, i have missed it since i wasn’t at home so i have to watch out for a rewind. i hope it will be shown someday. my boyfriend’s father recorded it but only green day so...

Hej little miss sorrow!

Of course I bought a ticket for a standing place and I hope that I will make it to the front row again. Fingers crossed!! I simply need to be in front of the stage for a last time...! I’d like to cry when I think of my sitting place for the Düsseldorf-Show! I really hope that everything will work and that I’ll get this ticket in time...! I am always so worried that something might go wrong!! That the mail service sucks and that the ticket won’t arrive here in time for instance. But probably I’ll meet this guy in Hannover at the central station and he’ll give me the ticket there. I hope so that he will be there, anyway...!
And of course I hope that Vom will finally sing “Blitzkrieg Bop”...! You know...alle guten Dinge sind 3... ;-)! There is some hope after being left without BB in Karlsruhe and Dortmund!
I booked a room in a youth-hostel by the way. I hope that I don’t have to share a room with stupid people!!!

Unfortunately I missed the Live 8 gig as well. I wasn’t at home either and somehow it doesn’t work with the show-view here. I don’t think that the show will be repeated by the way. If it was MTV, yes, but other TV-stations don’t repeat shows like these, I think :-(((. It’s a shame that I missed it!! But they only played 25 minutes anyway.

Did you get the DVD in the meantime, by the way?

HANNOVER CALLING... ;-)))!!!

hi bibi!! :) sooo, 22:04, seems the first half of the hannover show is already over. i hope you have a great time and made it to the front row!! let me know how it was, ok?

i don’t yet have the dvd, didn’t make it to the shops lately. and i didn’t see any rewind of the live8 gig on tv. well, at least i didn’t see dth. i saw madonna, u2, whatever... but no dth. :( but i saw campino in edinbourgh (spelling???) with bob geldorf on tv. quite cool, i think. :)

only two months till düsseldorf. what do you think about the beatsteaks as a special guest? i think it’s great and i also hope for bad religion. they played at the rheinstadion in 1997 at the hosen-concert and were fab!

Hannover was a show with light and shaddows. After 1/3 of the show during “Feuer frei” I asked the security to pull me out of the front row because I got problems with my circulation. It was so damn pushy. I thought that I cannot breathe anymore. So far i have never had problems in pushy crowds but the day before yesterday I had a heacdache the whole day anyway and I felt a bit weak. I entered the crowd in the front again and I was dancing pogo. I was in front of the loudspeaker from which Campi was jumping during BAYERN. Suddenly I held his ankle in my hand and in the same moment the whole crowd collapsed and everyone was falling!!! I dunno how many people fell on me. I didn’t get hurted fortunately and someone pulled me up again. but Campi got hurted. Probably he broke a rib. That’s what he said anyway but it’s not confirmed officially yet. During “Alles aus Liebe” he broke together and he had to stop singing. He had to leave the stage to get an injection with pain killers!!! The band was singing “Bommerlunder” with us in the meantime. Then he came back and he was playing “Alles aus Liebe” again. But he couldn’t jump around anymore and then they had to finish the show quite quickly because Campino wasn’t okay at all. He couldn’t go on anymore. My impression is that they left out about 2 songs. yesterday DTH played on a festival and Campi jumped again...! he was full of pain killers. So maybe his rib is not broken as he said during the show and as it was written in the newspaper. anyway, I enjoyed the show and I had a lot of fun to dance pogo with the others I have been pushed around somewhere between row 2 and 10 I’d say. But the dark side was that I didn’t feel well in the front row and that the whole crowd collapsed and that I was lying suddenly on the floor...! And the darkest side is that Campi got injured!!!

Ah, no BB again... ;-(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((!!!

hej and thanx for telling me about the hannover show. too bad you had to get out of the crowd but at least you made it to the front row for 1/3 of the show. i’d probably faint already before the show starts when it’s so pushy. i’m glad roxette concerts weren’t that pushy (though gt last summer was hell ;-)).

and too bad campino got hurt!

i just got the newsletter saying there’ll be an acoustic concert in september. that sounds nice. :-) are you gonna apply for tickets? i won’t since i won’t travel all the way for vienna but it will be fun to watch on tv i guess.

Hi there!

> too bad you had to get out of the crowd but at least you made it to the front row for 1/3 of the show.<

Yeah but after getting out of the front row and entering the crowd again I was still quite in the front and dancing pogo was also a hell of fun!

>i’d probably faint already before the show starts when it’s so pushy.<

So far I have never had problems with it. I think I simply wasn’t well on friday. But I understand if it is too much for some people. I mean you cannot compare it with what is going on in Roxette-shows where people are standing around quite civilized, clapping their hands and jumping a little bit...! A Hosen-show is a completly different thing. but it’s fun! Though I wouldn’t enter the crowd in Argentina...! I think you are knocked out after 2 minutes there ;-)!

> i’m glad roxette concerts weren’t that pushy<

*LOL* Roxette is nothing compared with DTH...!

>(though gt last summer was hell ;-)).<

Really? I haver never been to a GT show!

>and too bad campino got hurt!<

Yes! I haven’t heard any official statement yet how his rib is, if it is really broken or if it is just a bruise or whatever!

>i just got the newsletter saying there’ll be an acoustic concert in september. that sounds nice. :-) are you gonna apply for tickets?<

Nope, since I have to hand in my dissertation officially on 2.9. =/! Though I think it would be fun to see DTH unplugged!!! I really can’t imagine Campi sitting around during a show ;-)))! And he cannot jump from a loudspeaker either ;-)! I am also curious how DTH-songs sound unplugged. There must be a big, big difference between the original and the unplugged version, a bigger difference than between Roxette’s original versions and the unplugged thing...! I can hardly imagine to hear a song like “Pushed again” unplugged! I can only imagine to hear “Nur zu Besuch”, “Alles wird vorübergehen”, “Herz brennt”, ...!

>i won’t since i won’t travel all the way for vienna but it will be fun to watch on tv i guess.

DTH are cool too!

Gunhakan would like to Trade some old Blue System Records?
I have some right here!

I love Guano Apes (and was GUTTED when they split!), Juli and Silbermond......... I miss the music in germany lots.......... never thought I’d say that ;-) ihihihihihihi

But in TBB they we do!

Nice to see there are some fans of Blue system here... love Dieter’s 80’s projects, including Modern talking and CC Catch

Hubert kah, Fancy, Sandra, and Silent Circle are also worthy mentions of great German disco/new wave performers.

@Bibi (in case you read this what i hope!): three days. ;)

sooo, did you enjoy it? ;-)

My Favorite Toten hosen Song these days is:Eis gekühlter Bommerlunder!

@ Little Miss Sorrow: Check your e-mail ;-) !!!

@ Kathrin: Oh no... :-( !

TBB? What´s that?

TBB is the abrevation of a city called Tauberbischofsheim. They have TBB on their number plate.

Years ago there was a german man who entered the Eurovision? he was crazy on the stage... really longish hair... is he still big in Germany?

You mean Gildo Horn, don’t you? lol. I don’t know much about him but I don’t think so. He was very big during that time because he made fun of the Eurovision Song Contest (I would say 50% hated him for it and the other half loved him for it) but this hype is over. He still has his fans and probably there are many but as far as I know he’s not in the charts or something and I don’t know a single person who listens to Gildo Horn. He’s a freak but quite a nice guy actually. I think everything has turned back to normal and he is as popular as he was before the contest.

Yeah that name does ring a bell! :)

Ooops, I just noticed that the correct spelling of his name is “Guildo” ;-)
This is the good looking young man :-) : http://www.marqs.de/fw/bilder/IMG_0783_filtered.jpg

He is still BIG known here!

I don’t like his stuff at all!

His performance was so funny.... he was the kind of person that you don’t forget!
