Jud said on March 17, 2005 22:42:
So.. Eva’s going to be one of the artists that participate in the “Tältprojekt” tour in Sweden. The other artist are the melodifestival 05 winner, Charlotte Nilsson (she was at the EUrovision some years ago too) and some other artists I do not know...
Not what I was hoping for specially because her last solo tour was in 99 and I would have prefered a FULL show with her, but I guess this is better than nothing *sigh* I think this will be worse than standing the Latin kings and Pugh to see GT, at least they gave a 2+ hrs show :S
Will post all info I get at http://www.dahlgren-attling.net
Jud (moderator) said on March 18, 2005 07:33:
Looks like I am not the only one who thinks Eva doesn’t fit in this tour with this Martin wannabe and Charlotte (yes she won Eurovision) - according to Aftonbladet she won’t be in anymore.
A SOLO tour might be the next possibility! It HAS TO be!
Santi said on March 21, 2005 20:13:
In my opinion no serious artists should go around with some Eurovision animals :DD
But well, it’s just an opinion. Makes me think of Alejandro Sanz touring with Josmar and similar musical perversions :s
Oh well, to translate it into international... Bob Dylan + Dana International?
Jud (moderator) said on March 21, 2005 22:47:
Eva participated in the Melodifestival in late 70ies - early 80ies, but by that time all contestants were artists/musicians so you cannot compare it to now anyway ;)
Let’s see what happens in the end, I already told Eva what I think / what I would like to see: solo tour :)
Jud (moderator) said on April 5, 2005 15:07:
Eva (this is specially for Mari ;)) will perform in Helsinki 20+21 August.

Thx Visa for the tip * ;)
edit: * and translation. My finnish is like... zero :P
Mari said on April 5, 2005 18:50:
Oooh yeaaaaaaah!!! Yes! Thank you Judith and Visa :) I want tickets! Yay!
Jud (moderator) said on April 5, 2005 20:48:
:D cool!
I wonder if her album will be out by then, she keeps on telling she’s working on it... *can’t wait*
Btw, do you know the differences between the two tickets? Ones are 44, the others 46.. :S
Mari said on April 6, 2005 09:32:
There’s normal tickets and “Baltic Sea tickets”. I have no idea what the Baltic Sea ticket is cos I have never been on Huvila tent. Baltic Sea ticket is the more expensive one.
Jud (moderator) said on April 6, 2005 20:56:
yeah Visa also translated the two ticket classes but doesn’t know what that means.. I guess ones are closer to the stage than the others.
Btw, Eva’s shows are #1 in the “top 6 events” in the ticket site.. and my sources tell that the tickets are almost sold out @_@
Is Eva THAT successful in Finland?
Mari said on April 7, 2005 06:47:
Yeah, Eva is the most popular Swedish artist here. Yep, the first concert is sold out and the second almost sold out. Cool!
Jud (moderator) said on April 7, 2005 10:40:
I found out what that means...
Tickets are the same, but the baltic sea are more expensive because the 2 euro extra are a donation to protect the Baltic Sea :)
Rich-UK said on April 7, 2005 11:05:
“worse than standing the Latin kings and Pugh to see GT”
I honestly can’t imagine anything worse than that :D
Jud (moderator) said on April 12, 2005 18:46:
haha Rich :P
btw, the 2 shows r sold out.. and she won’t tour this summer... and guess who’s going to miss it :S
And the album is again delayed.. till “late autumn” double-:S
Jud (moderator) said on April 19, 2005 14:44:
New album “Snö” out in October.
New book about the creative process out in September.
New tour starting in November.
*yay*
ally77 said on April 19, 2005 18:43:
Would like to see the tour.... ;) was going to Stockholm in November might have to bring it forward a little! :)
Jud (moderator) said on April 19, 2005 19:30:
you won’t be disappointed if you go and see her :D
Oooh will be cute and sweet, album called Snö.. and Sweden will be covered with snow in Nov/Dec when she tours :P
Will publish dates as soon as I get them :)
Mari said on April 19, 2005 20:24:
Snö is a great name for a new album! Can’t wait! Per and Gyllene Tider fits summer, but I Eva’s music fits winter. Judith, do you know if its Sweden tour or Nordic tour?
Jud (moderator) said on April 19, 2005 20:35:
she didn’t specify but I am sure that it will be nordic, sure she’ll go to Finland again :)
Yes, I love the title, it sounds so Eva, so Swedish, so.. mmmm :) I love snow anyway, so peaceful and calm.
The title of the book is also Eva-ish “Hur man närmar sig ett träd”, I am curious to read what she has to tell about the “creative process”, she’s been working on this album for at least 1.5 years (2 when the album will be out) and has got inspiration in many places of this planet and changed some professional aspects .. will be very interesting :)
(Edited book title)
ally77 said on April 20, 2005 07:27:
I hope the dates are known before my next trip in 4 weeks, could pick up a ticket when I am over there! :)
Jud (moderator) said on July 10, 2005 13:14:
- tour dates will be made public in the next days, max in 1 month, but they will be somewhen between early/mid November and mid December ;)
- 1st single will be “När jag längtar” (bside “De modigas sång”) - out on August 10.
- book is out Sept 21
That’s all for now, besides the fact that I’m not sure if I will be able to go to Helsinki in the end, neither Swe later this year anymore.. :(
Jud (moderator) said on July 20, 2005 05:37:
yes, I’m not writing news about Eva on this site’s front page... not yet at least :D:D
ally77 said on July 21, 2005 19:49:
So will you be going :) I hope it’s Stockholm begining of Dec... that would be great.. :)
Mari said on August 9, 2005 07:33:
Concerts are already on next week! So cool. Lot’s of Dahlgren on this autumn, cos I’m gonna see her also in Stockhol, on Metro concert.
Jud (moderator) said on August 9, 2005 15:21:
and tonight Allsång på skansen! - you can see it online at svt.se :)
Album seems to be cool :D
Mari said on August 10, 2005 09:41:
Yep, I saw Allsång on TV (SVT Europa). The new song is okey, pretty nice. Sounds a bit like Gunga mig which is one of my fave Eva songs.
Jud (moderator) said on August 10, 2005 21:51:
ticnet.se has dates but nobody confirmed anything :S
and here’s a cool pic :D

ATLTK said on August 10, 2005 22:40:
gunga mig was preformed at the extra show which was shown on the web
ally77 said on August 11, 2005 14:15:
Nope, about 3 weeks to early for my planned trip to Stockholm.... damn!
But I am thinking of getting tickets for Mamma Mia which starts on 1st December! :)
Jud (moderator) said on August 14, 2005 19:07:
Mari: not sure if you got my email..;)
do you know if the concert is standing or seating? and if seating.. is it with numbered seats? I saw that the chairs a) don’t look so comfortable and b) are quite far from the stage :S Have u ever been in the Huvila Tent?
Hope the weather in Helsinki is OK, we have some places to visit :D
Jud (moderator) said on August 15, 2005 09:34:
tack :) now I only need to find out when the doors open and how to get there :S
Mari said on August 15, 2005 11:20:
Doors opens about 1,5-2 hours before concert. Huvila tent is in Hakaniemi, which is about 1,5 km from railwaystation. Where are you staying in Helsinki?
Jud (moderator) said on August 16, 2005 16:54:
updated the tour dates on my site! :D
AND! she goes with 2 guitar players and a guitar player/backing vocals! I hope she plays guitar herself too.. it could end up with 4 guitars on stage.. oj oj!
Caaaan’t wait till Saturday! Last time I saw her live (not counting Buddaboys) was way too long ago.. and Connie has never seen her live..
Got the single today.. songs are even better (if that’s possible ;)) with the good sound. Single is not protected ;)
Mari said on August 17, 2005 09:20:
Small coinsident. Roxette’s first gig ever outside of Sweden was in Kulttuuritalo excatly same date (11.11.), 16 years ago, as Eva’s gig now in Kulttuuritalo :)
Jud (moderator) said on August 18, 2005 22:15:
:O tomorrow (20th) I’m going (hopefully!!) to see Eva :O
Here’s an article about the concert in Åland tonight, she tells she won’t sing so many new songs, so mostly old but with new sound :D
They have been rehearsing for 3 weeks, .. I can’t wait to hear the new band! Lars Halapi is amazing. I have Peter Jöback’s Xmas concert DVD, Halapi and his band are Peter’s musicians.. and the concert is superb. Real MUSIC. If Eva’s concerts are the same.. @_@

Mari said on August 20, 2005 19:46:
Great concert! One of the best concert I’ve ever been. 4 new songs if I remember right, Äventyr was the best of the new ones. Kunga mig, Blå hjärtans blues, Ängeln i rummet, and Vem tänder stjärnorna were best old songs, but whole concert was great. Eva talked a lot between songs. .., First time I heard someone on stage talked about DNAs :)
Jud (moderator) said on August 21, 2005 09:54:
Concert was amazing! Even better than Lai Lai, her songs sounded so fresh and happy (!!), really great guitar player(s) and band in general.. and she played some of my faves: Ja, Blå hjärtans blues, Stay.. and the new ones are amazing, Snö specially :D
Greetings from Helsinki :)
Sparvogamarie said on August 22, 2005 08:03:
>> yes, I’m not writing news about Eva on this site’s front page... not yet at least :D:D
Hmm, why not? I mean, it was news that some band used the same FONT as Gyllene Tider on a poster, so why not news that Eva (a friend of MF’s!) has done something?!
Jud (moderator) said on August 23, 2005 09:21:
Saw her on Sunday again.. (tack tack!!) .. cannot really tell which one was better :D
Going back home tomorrow.. *sniff*.. it’s very nice in this city!
Mari said on August 29, 2005 11:16:
Both Helsinki concerts are already sold out, wow! Concerts sold out only couple of hours...
I got tickets for great places :)

I played it too some friends at work and they liked it, one girl wanted to order it with me!
Jud (moderator) said on October 5, 2005 19:12:
:) My mum also liked it, she said she wants a copy :P
ally77 said on October 7, 2005 17:35:
I need to order it this weekend here’s hoping CDON will have it now to order, I should think so...
Jud (moderator) said on October 7, 2005 19:08:
yes they have it to “pre-book”.
Another store called megastore also has it, they claim the first 150 orders will get a signed CD..

So good luck :)
Mari said on October 8, 2005 17:07:
Eva is guest tonight’s Huuma. Huuma is a tv-show on Finnish MTV3.
Jud (moderator) said on October 8, 2005 20:33:
thx! can this be seen online too? I reached the Huuma site but erh.. don’t understand a word anymore :S
ally77 said on October 8, 2005 21:51:
Ordered a couple of copies from CDWOW! £9.99 :) + I had some money off vouchers!
Jud (moderator) said on October 9, 2005 15:51:
@_@ i got the full album now. Even though I knew some of the songs.. to listen to it as a whole is .. no words @_@
ally77 said on October 11, 2005 08:18:
Glad you got the full album Judith, I got to wait a little longer.... CDWOW are not sending it till Friday! Oh well it will be worth the wait!
ally77 said on October 12, 2005 19:02:
@ Judith, which older album would you recommend to buy... as a kind of intro to her work...
Jud (moderator) said on October 12, 2005 21:37:
hm.. the problem with Eva is that there’s hardly an album similar (style) to the other :S
The first 2 “Finns det..” and “ED” are more folk. Accoustic guitars.
För väntan + Tvillingsjäl are a bit more rockier, more el. guitars.
Ett fönster is .. I’d say rather typical mid 80ies sound. Keyboard and guitar mix.
Ung och stolt.. hm.. a bit like Ett fönster but still different as there are some songs with orchestra (blow instruments).
Fria världen: one of my favourite. Mix of acoustic + el guitars, going a bit more pop. Ängeln i rummet (one of her greatest hits) is in it.
En blekt blondins: her most sold album so far. More pop-like.
Jag vill se: she sings with an orchestra playing all music. I love this album in fact, it’s so.. powerfull.
Lai Lai: I’d say this is quite similar (style) to Snö, yet.. different.
Damn, it’s so difficult to define her music :/
She has a couple of compilations which might be interesting to start with..
Mari said on October 15, 2005 12:12:
Snö is a great album! Better than Lai Lai. My fave songs (so far) are Bob Hund and Som ett Äventyr.
Judith, unfortunately no Huuma online..
There has been lot’s of Eva in Finnish newspapers and magazines lately, nice!
Eva will perform on 12.11. Plan charity galaconcert and then talk show called Bettina S. There gonna be some clips about the interwiev on site http://fst.yle.fi/bettinas/ I dunno yet on which date Eve will be guest.
ally77 said on October 17, 2005 16:52:
It arrived this afternoon in the post.... I say this afternoon as morning post does not happen in my part of the UK! I intend to have a listen very soon...
ally77 said on October 17, 2005 22:22:
I really like it Judith, played it twice this evening and I like it a lot.... think I’ll be ordering some more... will give my friend her copy tomorrow also!
Santi said on March 17, 2005 22:47:
C. Nilsson not only was but did win Eurovision, in 1998, with “Tusen och en natt”, isn’t it?
