How about a NEW Roxette rarities CD?

As a community of fans, we should put together a petition for a second compilation of rarities and un-released songs. This worked for Marie’s live DVD... I wonder if it would influence Per’s decision to release something as well. I’m really missing Roxette right now, I’m sure a lot of other people are too. What do you guys think?

They could put some old demos on. By old, I’m talking “From Head to Toe” old. That would be cool. :)

Neh, don’t think so.
If there’s still material lying around it’s probably not roxette-quality. I guess they released all good ’left-overs’ on the last two compilations.

Nah, I don’t think there’s any point with it either. Roxette is nothing people listen so much to anymore. Not so they could sell anything of such a CD at least. I don’t think EMI want to release something that maybe 2-300 fans will buy. Nothing in it for them and nothing in it for Gessle.
But sure, as a collector it would be something nice! ;-)

In 1999 PER told that there plans to re-release RARITIES & DANCE PASSION with a few extra songs. However, thede plans weren’t fulfilled.
As for myself, I say yes, I would definetely buy this album, cos I don’t have many rare ROXETTE’s songs.

What about a serious LIVE album? Roxette have never done one before (Per never seemed to like it) but if he now more receptive towards one with GT why not compile some of their best performances of the last 3 tours and put them on a double CD. Would it be bad, another GH thing or another re-re-re-re-re-re something? And remember that the RS tour had nothing recorded so far...

Uhm, you do know the difference between official release and bootleg, don’t you?
Rox_Nox2003 said on December 3, 2004 01:51:
No he doesn’t! But never mind it happens to all of us every now and then...LIVE ALBUM! lol
AURYTE said on December 3, 2004 12:46:
I hope so much dealing with ROOM SERVICE tour!!!
And a live album is a better idea than greatest hits. But still I’d like to have some kind of official RARITIES CD.

Evanecesnce ? Vs. Roxette?
Ahhh can anyone tell him that there are almost 10 tears separating Rox highlihh from nowadays’s Evanesnce one?
It was the most natural thing to have a VIDEO with a Rox concert during 1991 but now it is not really a very expected thing to happen... now with Evanecesnce its the opposite for one very simple reason ...SUCESS with their debut and an amaziinbg tour around the world ... it’s more than obvious ... but who can assure us that in 10 years time too?
And yes EMI ...i seriously doubt!

I don’t know really...
When you think about it, Roxette have not officially released many songs that weren’t on albums. I think they only ever made about 9 b-sides. A couple of good remixes, a few good demos, their cover of Help at Abbey Road...
There’s not much out there that would make me consider buying an album of Rarities.
But, if they raided the archives (like the way they took Little Miss Sorrow for TPH from the sessions of HAND)... I’d DEFINITELY buy that!!
My ideal rarities CD would contain:
- All other b-sides that weren’t included on Rarities and TBH/TPH EP’s
- a few good remixes (3 at MAX!)
- 5/6 “previously unreleased” songs originally made for the HAND/RS albums. (cause, if Entering Your Heart wasn’t included, imagine what other goodies are lying around somewhere!)
A 2nd “Bonus EP” could include Demo versions of all the singles from Wish I Could Fly to Opportunity Nox. I’d really love to hear that “rockin” version of Stars! (if it was actually made)...
