TDR back in business

Written by roxeteer on November 11, 2001 to .

HELSINKI - Our what-should-have-been-a-snap switch of servers turned out to be several days offline. Sorry folks! Everything should be working again. Thanks for your patience. If you sent me email and got an error message as a reply, please re-send your message! For a couple of days last week, I wasn’t able to receive any mail.

Today, Lars-Erik and I are going to Roxette’s press conference here and after that… Roxette live! For me, it’s the first time since 1994. God, how time flies…

You’re now reading the all new version of The Daily Roxette. As you can see, we have new graphics, but most of the changes have been done behind the scenes.

Important: Before you’ll be able to log in, your old user account must be converted for this new version of TDR. Converting is easy and doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes. You’ll also recieve a new password.

We have to currently monitor the load on the server. This means that it may be necessary to take the site offline for short periods of time. Of course we hope that this won’t be the case.

If you like or dislike something in The Daily Roxette, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re waiting for all your feedback!

Retraction: TDR report on Brazil was inaccurate

Written by administrator on June 14, 2001 to .

It doesn’t happen very often, but with limited resources to check facts, we sometimes get a story wrong. The editors of The Daily Roxette regret that despite the fact that three of our reporters submitted similar stories about the “Room Service” album going Platinum in Brazil, it appears that the article was erroneous.

Our reporters all based their stories on the same source… and that source, apparently, had based his declaration of “Platinum” status on units shipped instead of units sold. We have deleted our earlier story until such time as we can be more certain of the situation there.

As we go to press with this retraction, TDR has been unable to independently confirm how many copies of “Room Service” have actually been sold.

Expressen article cites The Daily Roxette as their source

Written by daanmarie on May 23, 2001 to .

Usually, it works the other way around.

But, in today’s edition of the Swedish newspaper Expressen, there’s an article in which they cite this “net newspaper” – The Daily Roxette – as their information source!

The article, written by Olle Berggren, talks about the upcoming tour and Roxette’s probable visit to Brazil.
