marie's albums

Which ones are MArie’s best albums?

I have only heard the album with tro in it and her antilgen album, any other great albums i am missing out?

Den ständiga resan, of course. :)
Listen to ETT ENDA LIV, MELLAN SOMMAR OCH HÖST, DET REGNAR IGEN and Så STILLA, Så LåNGSAMT at least. :)

All of ’em!!

DsR stands out & efter stromen is a very close second. The rest is fantastic too!!

DSR followed by IETSV! for me.... DSR was the first I really got into...

^^ same here!

I love IETSV but don’t like DSR at all. Too depressing! Don’t have any older albums by Marie, DSR stopped my shopping mood... ;-)

I en tid som var was the very first marie album I bought and its still my fave although if u wanna intodouce someoen to her atligen is the album its all her best stufff...i’m not a fan of alot of her 80’s stuff its just not her :)

The Äntligen and I En Tid are good starters.

I just got the box set (bragging) and I’ve listened to all the albums now. The earlier ones have more of an 80s sound to me—because that’s when they were made. Den Sjunde Vågen I rather liked, though.

I En Tid Som Vår—my favorite— lived in my CD player for months. I also like Den Ständiga Resan and I find myself drawn to it at times—I’d add Så Länge Det Lysser Mittemot & Vem Tror Du Att Du Är? & Till Sist to Kiwein’s list. (I bought them both last year at a used CD store as Japanese editions. I got Äntligen last Christmastime).

Since I got the set, Efter Stormen has been the one I’ve listened to more (and the live CD). I really like Kärlekens Skuld and Längtan on those, besides the ones I was already familiar with.

Längtan is a great song, as well as När Vindarna vänt! And I really really like the “hidden track” behind Jag brände din bild - the orchestral version of Om Du såg mej nu..just great and the best song to dream away..

Oh, definitely “Den Standiga Resan.” I’m the opposite of Sascha, I don’t care much for “IETSV” but “DSR” is one of my all-time faves. “Efter Stormen” and “D7V” are great too, but I’ve always had a soft-spot for “Het Vind,” probably because it was the first Marie solo record I heard. Now, MaMas Barn on the other hand... that’s the best of all!!!

Ooo... I love Mamas Barn! with u there 100%! Still hoping that I might get a copy of the CD oneday... (hint-hint; anyone have a copy to trade?)

I EN TID SOM VAR!!!! I Love Tro, Min Trognaste Van, Vinterangel ... I en tid som var.

And Den standiga resan ... is so dark, strange and woderful.

IETSV is by far her best album, though it wasn’t as successful as DSR.
I love DRÖMMEN, EFTER SÅ MÅNGA ÅR and of course ALDRIG TILLBAKA MER. Simply great.. *startsdreamingaway*

yay Kiwein!! understand you..

PS: I also love Mamas Barn :P

indeed, IETSV simply the best, along with some earleir tracks...

1992 DSR...
det jag verkligen ville stands out for me, rest bit too depressing I must agree with some here

1987 EFTER STORMEN...
awe some record!! favs incl. title track om du såg mej nu and längtan

1986 DEN SJUNDE VÅGEN.
gr8! esp. för dom som älskar & mot okända hav

1984 HET VIND.

fantastic for a debut... love ännu doftar kärlek, jag går min väg & natt efter natt

.... not forgetting... äntligen and... my all time favourite of hers (at least from the sample that can heard in the movie Sånt är livet)... HOMETOWN

1. DSR!
2. IETSV
3. Efter Stormen
4. Den sjunde vågen
5. Het vind

“Den standiga resan” is her best IMO, but the one I listen to the most is “Efter stormen”. Anyway, I really love all Marie´s albums, all of them has something special!

In my opinoin, bunny, you should not only listen but also buy MARIE’s albums.:):):)

I’ll agree with the above—get the CDs.

Better still—save your pennies and spring for the boxset. It has bonus tracks for each disc and a live CD. (Bara För En Dag is terrific there and the last song—not one I’d ever heard—is GREAT!)

& Natt Efter Natt is a nice bonus (on Het Vind)—Swedish version of Cyndi Lauper’s All Through The Night. Nice for a revisionist flashback.

I agree with Miracle Man, you should get the boxset! It’s worth it because it’s a good way to get all her albums at one time, plus you get all the bonus tracks.

DSR rocks!!!! It’s the best album if you love Marie, because it’s so much more personal than any of her other stuff. It’s kind of like reading her diary! The people who think it’s depressing probably can’t handle honest emotions, because it’s a beautiful album that explores many different feelings, not just depression!!!

@Purplemedusa: I’m moving to Sweden in a few weeks, I can look for a Mamas Barn CD for you if you want. It’s usually quite cheap in Sweden, I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I only have this one now,

DSR, Thank my freind, it is really a good CD that I ever had, good packing and with perfume inside, the smell of Rose.
I found many people here like this album. Marie must spend a lot in making this album. I could feel.

I used to listen to all her albums by downloading mp3s, I found I like Efter Storman the best, I like her high voice in this album. Though I don’t understand Swedish.

Waiting to get this CD.

for me its hard to choose between DSR and IETSV....i love them both though if u asked me a few days ago i would have said IETSV...even 7 years after its release i still listen to it a couple of times a week, and i cant say that for any other album i own. I find it incredibly relaxing, and i often listen to it lying in bed while going to sleep...i dont mean that to sound like it sends me to sleep, i just mean its beautiful and relaxing. my favourite track is berusa mig...very simple production and beautiful tune, and the only track on the album where the only musicians are Marie and Micke, so very personal for them aswell i would imagine.
As for DSR, too be honest i hadn’t even listened to it for about a year or so, but reading this topic made me want to listen to it again...ive listened to it twice already today and i am loving it, so thats why i cant decide between the 2 albums.
Her first three albums are good too, but they just sound a bit dated to listen to now....though there are some great tracks on there too. i might have another listen to them when ive got over my re-ignited DSR obsession
