Well many people don’t like the production in Beautiful Things on Have A Nice Day but it’s one of my very favourite songs. The progression and instrumentation throughout the song is marvellous :-) Rich
animalkingdom said on June 29, 2004 19:15:
My favourite Roxette-mistake would have to be Stars! As much as certain fans hate it, it still is as big a hit as WICF and earned Roxette a deal of younger listeners!
Kiwein1 said on June 29, 2004 19:22:
The wrong spelling of Marie’s name in the Look Sharp Album - I only say DANCE AWAY.. ;-)
The bass player change from Anders to Christoffer. :-)
patolucas said on June 29, 2004 20:28:
“Roxette” & “mistake” in the same phrase????you must be joking!
Ferdan said on June 29, 2004 21:49:
Getting Escolar to make the translations for Baladas en Español.
HAND being produced by 4 people. Christoffer playing the bass instead of the guitar :)

My favourite mistake is that they don’t seem to get that compilations with the same songs over and over again are not interesting at all... :D
I mean, it gets to a point that it’s just plain funny :D
misteryman00 said on June 30, 2004 20:41:
the way they did the two last comilation with all the misspelling mistake and the two nuber 1 for the beside....funny one too
misteryman00 said on June 30, 2004 20:42:
when marie sings go to sleep on the cbb tour and forget the words...and per try to help her...another funny mistake
RoxHard said on June 30, 2004 23:43:
’My Favourite Mistake’? Oh, I love that song!
“Did you know when you go it’s the perfect ending
To the bad day I was just beginning
When you go all I know is you’re my favourite mistake”
Great!
misteryman00 said on July 1, 2004 00:12:
well maybe you love Sheryl Crow but thats not the topic...now you have made a mistake!!!!...lol;=)
n-Somnia said on July 4, 2004 01:35:
The only mistakes I can recall are accidental ones, such as the one in Unplugged, while playing Fingertips, Marie sings, “Suddenly you feel there’s no time for a ’real’...” instead of deal. :P Or the miming mistake on IMHBL (Christmas for the Broken Hearted).
Otherwise, no big mistakes according to n-Somnia. ;)
Roxette-atic said on July 4, 2004 09:15:
I dunt know....in an interview Marie said that “Soul Deep” was in “Look Sharp!”...
Alesvenska said on July 5, 2004 01:21:
Never having released an official live DVD!!!!
Especially the room service tour!!!
n-Somnia said on July 5, 2004 10:26:
Re: Miming mistake.
If you have the DVD, look closely at Marie in the second chorus of the song. She goes to sing the first chorus instead, hehe. Have a look see. :)

Mixing up the lyrics of Spending my Time during their concert in Brussels 2001, so bad, they had to start all over again... but they were forgiven by everyone right a way!! Ofcourse!
Rich-UK said on July 6, 2004 11:33:
@ clerk - I loved this mistake also, really funny - it was the best concert I’ve seen so I can’t complain about it!
Kiwein1 said on July 6, 2004 16:46:
What happened exactly in Brussels? What lyrics did they mix up? *isgettingcurious*
Rich-UK said on July 6, 2004 20:55:
Hmmm, from memory:
Marie & Per were performing Spending My Time accoustically at the front of the stage (the bit which stuck out into the crowd). The noise from the crowd was SO loud. At the start of the second verse Marie started to sing the first verse again. Marie tried to redeem the situation by switching to the second verse but by then it was too late because everyone else was singing the first verse. Marie & Per stopped, laughed then started the song again. It was really funny! Best wishes from Rich

somewhere in RS tour where marie sang on CBB that my papa told me not to marry sorrow... lol
PeterGm said on July 8, 2004 13:38:
Ok, “Baladas” was in a way a mistake...but they wanted to give it a go... what was DEFINITELY a mistake was trying it again with the HAND version!!!
roxette_rule said on July 8, 2004 14:43:
in my opinion, i dont think that Roxette have ever made a mistake cos they are just the best
ncurran said on July 12, 2004 19:16:
well its not really a mistake, as i know per and marie have their own lives to live and there are more important things in life than roxette, but i think the 5 year gap between CBB and HAND really led to the downturn in their career. There was a bit of a momentum in their career before that, but when they came back in 1999 a lot of the radio/TV stations that supported them before weren’t interested anymore, and a lot of the fans had grown out of their music. That might not have been the case if they had come back with a new album in 1996/7. You have to be a really established artist with a long career to get away with a break like that, and while they have been making music for many years, they had only had 4 albums that had been an international success by that point, and one of those could not really be classified as a fully new studio album (tourism)
AURYTE said on July 13, 2004 06:29:
Mistake... hmmm... Maybe not to release DVD with concerts from ROOM SERVICE tour.
Roxer93 said on August 3, 2004 01:53:
Got my copy of Ballad/Pop Hits DVD the other day. First thing I noticed was the second verse of ATAY, Per appears to say “I can’t FAKE it on my own” rather than MAKE!

Roxette In CHile 1995
Well it was not a roxette mistake but a problem in the concert and handdle it very well
During Spending My Time at the piano, the mic began with problems, a really ugly noise, and marie stopped the song, touched her ear, and looked to one side of the stage, a man appeared and changed the mic, i was in front of her, and everybody shouted again!! again!!! jajaja!!
and she put her fingers on the piano nad retook the song with
..I’m spending my time.....JAJA.....My friend keep telling me .....(it was exactly like that)..
And the way she managed that moment was fantastic..loved her
(sorry if there are english mistakes, not my native language, I speak spanish)
CHao.!!!!!!

I don’t know if it is my FAVOURITE mistake, but at least a BIG mistake is that COY is never released as a single.
That would have been THE chance to convince everybody that Roxette is still the best.
alexandre100 said on December 31, 2004 13:48:
1. “Crush On You” not released as a single;
2. They should had given a better treatment at the end of the songs “Queen Of Rain” and “Anyone” (I imagine “Anyone” ending with Marie singing “it’s over when it’s over, what can I do about it, now, now it’s all over”, with no more sounds!);
3. The album “Baladas En Español”;
4. And, this CAN be a big mistake: Marie not singing with Morten Harket (sorry if I’m bothering you, since I’d already opened a topic about this, but... I can’t stop thinking about it!);
Have a great new year, Roxers!

The mistake Marie made in MTV unplugged on a song, I think it was Here Comes The Weekend, but I might be wrong!
colinvdbel (moderator) said on January 1, 2005 14:56:
re-recording HAND? I’d love to hear the original ’guitar’ versions of those songs...
alexandre100 said on January 14, 2005 23:04:
Ooops! I almost forgot another mistake: they should had recorded “Things Will Never Be The Same” (Joyride version) as a ballad, like the “live” Tourism version. I remember I got kinda disappointed when I listened to the Joyride version, because I bought the Tourism album first, so I couldn’t imagine that song in a different beat.
Well, here’s a suggestion: why don’t they record this song again, but in a slow-down version?
n-Somnia said on January 14, 2005 23:31:
@ally77: I believe it was Fingertips she made a mistake...
“Suddenly you feel, there’s no time for a real” ... oops, she mean “deal”. :o
lizgarcia said on January 15, 2005 02:47:
Ok I think that some funny translations from “Baladas en Español” like “I want to be like you, the same like you....., ” = (I dont wanna get hurt melody). Anyway I love the melody.

Mistake in the video STARS ’cos of it’s light and colour Marie looks very old there...
n-Somnia said on January 15, 2005 10:54:
I agree that Stars makes Marie look a bit older in some shots. Especially when she’s in the water with the wooden ducks.
alexandre100 said on January 16, 2005 02:19:
There’s some video mistakes, too. I remember of two of them:
In the “How Do You Do” video, a cameraman falls over the drums, and;
In the “Crash! Boom! Bang!” video, when Per are throwing away the paper sheets, they disappear for some seconds and suddenly appears again.
I wonder if I’m going off-topic...
harriej said on January 17, 2005 19:01:
@alexandre100: In my opinion the joyride-version of “Things will never be the same” is the best one, so that’s no mistake!
n-Somnia said on January 17, 2005 23:17:
There is a chance that “maybe” the cameraman falling on the drums could’ve been all part of the act...but I guess we wouldn’t really know...for now.
Another mistake I remember... Not waiting for the rest of the videos to come out, before releasing DBUGTTC (video). You’d think that they would’ve filmed the rest of the videos before bringing it out on VHS...

(Hey evceryone i just joined!) I’ve got one though - releasing a version of the pop hits with only 11 tracks (ending at June afternoon) WRONG !
erweetiran said on January 18, 2005 14:29:
1. Not releasing COY as a single
2. Not releasing an official Live DVD
Ronney said on January 19, 2005 15:17:
Not my favorite mistake, but perhaps one of their biggest: Copy Controlled CD’s!! They suck, cuz they play without shockcontrol in my portable discplayer and I cannot copy my own CD to my PC...
please Roxette, I know you deserve the credits ($) for your work, but this is not the way!
Rich-UK said on January 19, 2005 15:36:
