Per, great work!

nice songs, not great. I wish they had more production, they sound like demos.
tevensso (moderator) said on May 17, 2004 15:10:
Personally I think the charm with Gyllene Tider has always been the fact that they don’t overproduce things.
Jud (moderator) said on May 17, 2004 15:13:
This is simple pure plain M U S I C.. why to (over)produce something when it sounds fantastic as it comes from the microphones :)

It’s a gr8 idea to leave the computers switched off and gather some dust in the studio :-) I like the pureness of the sound.

@StillFar: Actually, that’s what I think, though I like the songs. There was a topic some time ago about what we love most about Per and Marie. I wrote that I love him for writing new songs out of already existing songs over and over again....well, that’s true.
But YOU are right. The intro of ESVESIES sounds very already-heard-a-thousand-times to me! (-:
TUFFA TIDER is quite new, though.
Max-Tob said on May 17, 2004 17:16:
Per plays with himself over and over again, i think Kiwein is right. But it’s a nice game...actually I enojoy very much that familiar feeling when a “new” GT/Per/Rox song comes out from the studio and it sounds soo veery Gessle that I sometimes believe I can create myself a gessle-tune out from the songs I have already heard during the last 15years...which is obviously just a childish overevaluation of my own musical potential and a rude underestimation of Per’s creativity...Hahaha. It’s not that easy as it seems to make new songs out from old ones!! And yes, I’ll say it one more time, I love the familiar feeling I get when listen to the intro of “En sten...”...I feel like I am 3 years younger, front row at RS tour, claping hands at “Crush on you”-intro! Great!
And do not let yourself fooled...”Tuffa Tider” is just as Gessle as any other one..you certainly heard hundreds of times before small parts of this song, spread all over his albums...I don’t know why, but I find it very similar - as a feeling - with “Har kommer alla...”. Am I dreaming?
Speaking about “Mazarin”...Don’t you have the déjà-vu feeling? For me, it feels like the summer 2003 has just begun...And then the studio from Skane and the cold days we see on the video and this “Tuffa Tider”...Yeah, it feels like 2003!!...I wonder if Per feels the same...He worked as hell lately...He might live in a continuous déjà-vu!! I bet he’s already tired.

5+ both, though imho Tuffa Tider is the one that has the freshness of “the Swedish summer 2004”. Great move to release two different kinds of songs at the same time! You never know which way the cat (or the duck?)jumps ;)
I just love it when they keep it simple... But how DOES a GT-demo actually sound?
lonely_girl said on May 17, 2004 18:04:
I love tuffa tider... ;-) It’s so true for me...
and en sten... is just summer pure...
royalball said on May 17, 2004 18:13:
I also like Tuffa Tider a little more. It’s another good summer song! Looking forward in hearing the rest!

En sten vid en sjö i en skog
is better then tuffa tider... i’m not into reagge that much... the lyrics (like always) speaks 2 me... :-D
StillFar said on May 17, 2004 19:17:
do the lyrics have some deeper meaning I don’t get? well, I just read the translation, but if the swedish text is anything like it, they must be on the very light side...

En Sten was the one that jumped out first, and the one I thought I would like the most, but after hearing TT more and more I like that one a lot... the title reminds me off myself! ;)
tevensso (moderator) said on May 17, 2004 07:55:
*****/*****, I’m sorry but I can’t give out anything less. And I have to say that even though En sten is the immediate hit, I think that Tuffa tider will be the longer running hit.
