hey, as the concert planned for slottsskogsvallen will be moved to ullevi, i came to think how many people actually can fit in slottsskogsvallen?
and are they talking about nya or gamla ullevi?
jicko said on March 24, 2004 16:47:
Does anyone know how many people can fit in Stadion (Stockholm)?
ATLTK said on March 24, 2004 16:57:
will thry release “new” tickets for the ullevi show I mean ullevi is bigger than slottskogsvallen
Jud (moderator) said on March 24, 2004 17:27:
Ted: that should be the whole point of moving the concert :) instead of adding one, they will move it to this bigger place :)

I checked at worldstadiums.com that Stadion has only around 15,000 seats though it’s the Olympic stadium of Sweden...Kent got a crowd of 30 000 which, however, was sold in 3 hours - - but Stadion was not sold out then.
daniel_alv said on March 24, 2004 18:17:
according to EMA.se stockholm stadion has a capacity around 32000
Santi said on March 25, 2004 05:32:
According to Kent’s website there were more than 33000 people at Stadion, since they sold 32500 tickets in 3 hours and later they released 1000 more, 6 days before the concert. http://www.kent.nu/arkiv/030221_stadion.asp http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/noje/story/0,2789,316946,00.html
And almost everyone dressed in white, even the band members :p
That had to be beautiful, what a pitty I couldn’t go :(

According to Ullevi’s site, the largest concert ever held there was with 64.312 attendants. However, that was in 1985. In 2003, Bruce Springsteen got 58.310 visitors in the stadium:

animalkingdom said on March 27, 2004 16:18:
What stroke me on that site was that Michael Jackson did not sell out in Sweden that time. Even in Helsinki he first filled the Olympic Stadium (50 000) and added another gig later (43 000).
animalkingdom said on March 27, 2004 16:21:
By the way, what do you think:
How many people will attend their concert at Ullevi?
I say 45,000.
Eloy said on March 28, 2004 01:05:
Mmm... I say 65000. They will sell another extra tickets after the next march 31. I remember that roxette played for 50000 people at one stadium in Buenos Aires during 1992. They were 2 concert of 50000 people each one. Per will want 65000 people this time :)
Eloy said on March 28, 2004 01:09:
sorry :) if the capacity is 60000 people then they will play for 60000 people :) I bet you all!

I am sure there is a football match here on Wednesday.. Sweden V England!
HummingBird said on March 29, 2004 16:10:
oh they should have something like the “dress all in white” thing. Although I don’t like white clothes...maybe a different one. It must be beautiful!!!!
Remco said on April 3, 2004 02:02:
I just checked the Ullevi site and on the arena information for Gyllene Tider it looks like they will include some kind of “catwalk” like Roxette did during the Room Service Tour!
See this picture:

Baby-C said on April 3, 2004 07:22:
@Remco: Yea I’ve seen that thing to... but I wonder if it really is a catwalk... could just be a misstake in the drawing of the arena. But I suppose we’ll see in August 7:th.
EDIT1: But looking at it again, I don’t think it is a misstake. Could be that they have a catwalk here just because they wanna have the opportunity to get a little bit closer to the audience places very far back. And it that is so... I think it is a very good thing.
EDIT2: Or will they have this catwalk on every concert? Nah... coming to think of it, I don’t think they will. Or will they?
animalkingdom said on April 3, 2004 08:06:
It seems this time there will be a real catwalk - since the little step Roxette had was pretty much useless!
James_Earp said on April 3, 2004 10:01:
the record on Ullevi has Bruce Springsteen when he for two days in a row had about 64 000 and 62 000 people.
I think that stockholm stadion takes about 32000.
James_Earp said on April 3, 2004 10:04:
to Remco: Bruce had so many visitors on teh stadion beacuse he had two gigs in two days there 2003
imazombieinthem... said on April 5, 2004 09:25:
If they are using the catwalk, that means Per would be singing through one of those Michael Jackson- like head microphones. I cant see that happening. He wont hold a mic (I dont think I ever have seen him doing it) and need both hands for his guitairs :)
Sascha said on April 5, 2004 11:23:
I think that “catwalk” is only a standard-shape on the stadium-map. Most likely the local promoters/organizers don’t even know the details of GT’s stage yet. It’s normally the same stage throughout an entire tour.
Mari said on April 5, 2004 19:40:
Sascha, no it isn’t. Chech this Metallica at Ullevi
http://www.gotevent.se/evenemangsguiden/arenaplaner/2004_ULL_metallica.p...
No catwalk.
Remco said on April 5, 2004 21:47:
@Mari: Indeed, that’s what I noted as well and why I posted it.
@Sacha: Indeed it’s mostly the same stage, but adding a catwalk at the larger gigs shouldn’t be a big issue I think. It can easily be added or left away.
Remco said on May 17, 2004 01:31:
And now that catwalk has been removed on the Arenaplan at ullevi.se. So no catwalk it looks like...

Slottsskogsvallen was sold out last year, 22 000 persons came. They are gonna play at Nya Ullevi, but it´s just called Ullevi. 55-60 000 can see them there,
