Songs that should have got to number 1... in the UK.
I don’t know where to begin. Well, Bjork’s “It’s Oh So Quiet” would be a good start!
Also...
Garbage: Stupid Girl
R.E.M.: Losing My Religion
R.E.M.: Shiny Happy People
R.E.M.: Everybody Hurts
R.E.M.: Man On The Moon
R.E.M.: Daysleeper
R.E.M.: Imitation Of Life
Sheryl Crow: My Favourite Mistake
Roxette: Wish I Could Fly / It Must Have Been Love / The Look... and about 10 others!
And that’s all I can think of right now...

Every song/album by Roxette, GT, and Marie and Per’s solo careers should always go 2 #1!

Anyone by Roxette.
So popular here. many people request it, so it has maybe the most airplay in the radio, but didn’t reach to # 1.

wish i could fly
run to you
the centre
fireworks
a thing about you...
sleeping in my car
queen of rain
imhbl

the look ... among other
pity that roxette never had a N 1 single in UK charts... :-(
RoxHard said on August 11, 2004 22:49:
Nox1983 - well, at least Rox aren’t the legands without a UK #1! REM could only manage a highest chart position of #3 (with The Great Beyond)! And that’s the same as Rox (IMHBL)
coyboyusa said on August 12, 2004 12:19:
then again alot of recent rem songs have tanked worse than roxette so wait why exactly do we care again? lol

;) Nice to know that... i always felt upset that roxette didnt get 1 in UK...
who is the group with more number 1 in UK? i know that abba had 9 singles in 1!!!
RoxHard said on August 14, 2004 04:58:
Elvis had 18... He was tied with The Beatles, at 17 each, but a remix of ’A Little Less Conversation’ put him 1 ahead.

MY GOD COYBOY!
Can you please just stop insulting everyone’s taste in music all the time! How would you feel if I started insulting Annie Lennox?!
R.E.M. continue to make amazing songs, their last album was their best - so lay off. Just cause corporate, distasteful America doesn’t like them anymore, doesn’t mean we out here don’t! Their last album, Reveal, sold 9 million copies (with only 650,000 of those from America).
That alone speaks volumes about your taste over there!
Nox1983 said on August 14, 2004 23:07:
lets hope roxette´s next album, if there is one, sells 9 millions too ;)
