Eurythmics ReReleased

Just ordered 3 of the rereleases with bonus tracks: Be Yourself Tonight, Revenge, and We Two Are One. They were the only ones available at the moment. It was a chunk o’ dough, but then again what’s a fanatic without the object of fandom?
Wondering why they didn’t just release a double disc of unreleased material? (Besides the obvious that it’s more $$$ in the coffers this way.) Or even a lovely box set would have been good. I’d’ve been all over that.

@Miracle Man: The release of the 8 remastered BMG Eurythmics albums with bonus tracks, planned for March 29, 2004, was postponed until September 2004 or even early 2005. So your order is probably... a pre-order... :(
Annie and Dave are looking for a perfect date to release it together with a big *NEW* Eurythmics CD + DVD anthology.
According to e-thrill.net the tracklists of the remastered albums are going to be the ones already revealed last year.
Cheers!

I ordered them through Amazon.com and now that I read the bits about the pushbacks it’s starting to make sense. The release date was listed—I could have sworn—April 4. Then it was the 8th (I ordered on the 7th). Now it says the 14th. Those three I listed at the start were the only ones orderable. Soooooooo, I’m wondering if I shouldn’t cancel the order for now and wait until they actually have them in stock?
Don’t know whether to cancel or not. Knowing Amamzon, they keep the order open and keep asking for renewals until they’re certain they can’t get it.
Disappointed that they’re screwing with the release dates so much. Weren’t they originally scheduled for the end of last year anyhow. I THINK that was the case—at least from what I remembered reading in Eurythmistan.
I know they released In the Garden, was it last year, but by that time I knew that the rereleases were coming so I haven’t purchased it on disc yet. And maybe a box-set? There’s only so much re-buying I want to do.
And as far as the extras go— I know there’s a song called Rich Girl that was a B-side of Don’t Ask Me Why but isn’t included on the We Two Are One rerelease. Precious, the B-side to Angel, is however. . . (I have them both on tape. . .) I like Rich Girl a lot more.

Where did you order them from? They were originally slated for a March 29 release date after being pushed back about 3 times. As far as I know, they have been pushed back to the end of 2004 or maybe even 2005! Let’s hope not!
I think what would have been nice are double-disc issues of each album with the bonus tracks and rarities on the second disc. The current tracklistings leave out a lot of rare material since so much can only fit on one disc.
From what I understand, the reissues have been pushed back and a box set/anthology is supposed to be released around the same time. Hopefully this box set will contain the remaining rarities.
