I read the news today
Felt like nothing to believe in
The time oh the time is just rude
Outside my window
I see the bad moon
I fall asleep with the tears
Taste of tears feels kind of safe
Maybe time, time will change
But right now
I just feel like….
Chorus:
I don’t wanna know a night like this
The bad moon is shining over me
Don’t wanna think
Like a lonely lover
Loves to feel all over for me
I put my mind in tonight
She’s still ok
After all she’d be through
But the voices kind of said
She’s ever changed
Chorus
You know I love you
Some day I will
I will know you
The whole way
I don’t beg you
Only the bad moon

Well, there is one thing you can say about songs which affect peopole so much. They are masterpieces!!!!
And yes I have the same thing with “Bad moon” “Remember” “The weight of the world” “Never is a long time” Emotions, too many emotions. Sometimes I feel that thoese are my own emotion, not the songwritter feelings

Hi
I’m the same!!Bad Moon has a hidden mistery!!
Everytime i hear it,the tears comes to my eyes, without reason,it’s something about the music, the sound, the lyric, the Marie’s voice sounds really sad and desesperated.
When i listen to once, then i can’t stop to listening over and over again,by hours! It’s the most beautiful song i ever heard!
I don’t understand a phrase on the chorus:
*i don’t wanna know,
a night like this.
The bad moon is shinning over me.
Don’t wanna feel (or THINK??),
like a lonely lover,
loves....????????????????????’
????????????????’ what it says on this part??

Damineh—It’s Marie Fredriksson, an unreleased English language demo I believe. . .
Love the song. Never made me cry though. I did put it on a CD for a friend, though and she cried, so you’re definately not alone.
It reminds me of the song House Of The Rising Sun in the chord progressions.

I think some parts of the lyrics are different. I think those parts are like this:
Chorus:
“I don’t want to feel like a lonely lover.
(My) lover feels no longer for me’
3rd verse
I called my mother tonight,
She’s still okay,
after all she’d be through
But her voice is kind of sad
She said I’ve changed”
I like the song and maybe we’ll hear the final version on her new cd :-)

Majdy, that is strange... ;-)
Bad Moon is pretty nice, anyhow. Marie is always so much better than Roxette. (Well, apart from SIMC. ;-))

@m-cvk: I accidentally pasted the wrong version. Thanks for correction. Should have read it before posting. Sorry.

No, there is no other version, I just pasted the wrong lyrics from a wrong transcription. (-:

Songs like “Bad Moon” clearly show Marie is a way better songwriter than Per.
BTW, is that Jonas on the electric guitar? I think it was prolly recorded during the “Den Standiga Resan” sessions. It sounds like a Fredriksson/Herrlin production.

I listened to it and to be honest with you, I had not a heard a more stupid song than this. Tevensso agreed with me! You can’t even hear the words!

:) I am so glad I am not the only one. I DO hope it will be on Marie’s new album. can’t wait!
Majdy said on April 9, 2004 13:38:
I think this is the clever english song that marie ever wrote. she should write more english lyrics on the next Roxette’s album.
DaminehGessle said on April 9, 2004 14:35:
It’s not just the lyrics of a song that makes it beautiful, but the melody! Her voice is so harsh on ears in this song that I had to shut it off after less that a minute.

“If she wrote Roxette’s songs people would commit suidide by the 100s. “
Majdy said on April 7, 2004 14:16:
well, I just stop that for a while, not forever :)
I love this song very much. but every time I hear this, it’s always bring tears to my eyes. I don’t know if it’s because of the lyrics, because the story behind that song so different with me, or maybe because of the music? probably.
all I remember, every time I heard it, I always turn my lights off, then play that thousand times, then... cry in the dark, with no reason.
Maybe if I ever meet Marie, I am gonna ask her about this, maybe she’s the only one who knows the answer :)
or maybe I am just silly?
