I CANT BELIEVE IT!!! A ROCK VERSION OF BEAUTIFUL THINGS!!!! I AM JUMPING FROM ONE FOOT TO THE OTHER ONE :))) THIS IS PURE LUCK AND HAPPINESS!!!! I ALWAYS WANTED THIS SONG TO BE A ROCK SONG!!!

Bad Moon is such a great track. Although I think Per is a great writer, these tracks prove that Marie is just as good if not better in some cases.
Roxmaniac said on November 18, 2002 18:46:
I also loooove this rocky version of Beautiful Things! It´s a masterpiece! :o)
Santi said on November 18, 2002 22:53:
It’s not a version, it’s the original... the demo! That’s usually what the songwriter has in mind actually.
Who do you think is on guitar? Staffan Astner, Max Schultz, Jonas Isacsson? :D Anyway, great work man!! :P
gyllene_tjej said on November 18, 2002 23:02:
I love them too! But I don’t want them to replace the bonus EP songs...well one of them will, sort of ;)
Jud (moderator) said on November 18, 2002 23:04:
some of those tracks remind me of “i en tid som var”, like “Drömmen” or “efter så många år”, and the songs are brilliant!!
frodi said on November 18, 2002 23:15:
That struck me too, Judith. I think it’s “just” translation of thoose u mentioned. I guess that “demos” is a little miss here. Well, some of them are apperntly demos, the others translations of old songs...

Oh my god. Why didn´t they release these songs instead of this RS trivia. With a really decent and comtemporary production a song like Bad Moon would blow away everything.

My favorite of the new tracks is “Bad Moon.” It’s fantastic! I was cranking this one up on my way to work today! I love it!
And yes, a totally different sound and style coming from Marie. Marie is known for writing slower songs, but take a listen to “New World.” I was surprised to hear this is performed by Marie. It’s very energetic. Almost has a Christmas feel with the arrangement. Another one of my favorites!

I also love the demo of Beautiful things, it’s soooo great!!! :))) The other songs are very good, too.
Now we finally have our completly new CD with 13 new songs (5 from TBH & 8 from the Marie Bootleg).
It’s like x-mas ;)

I really love these demos! Especially “Do you wanna go with me” is great. I love the distorted voice part in it.
@ Santi: I think that Micke played a lot of instruments, like the guitar.
Permaniac said on November 19, 2002 10:42:
BAD MOON!! BAD MOON!! GREAT!! THE BEST I´VE HEARD SINCE LONG!!
Santi said on November 19, 2002 12:21:
Micke never plays guitars on Marie records (I think), there’s always this Staffan Astner (who was the guitar player in Pearls Of Passion), Max Schultz appears also in I En Tid Som Vår, Mattias Torell, Nane Kvillsäter, Jonas Isacsson...
I think it could be Staffan because the way of playing reminds me of the live CD in Marie’s Box.

What on earth were they thinking when they skipped ’Bad Moon’ from HAND or RS? It would have given so much more depth to these albums!
I also really like ’Always the Last to Know’... Sister, sister...Brother, brother. Quite adorable!

NEW WORLD should be released and be produced by shanía twains husband, (don’t know his name now) who also produced “breathless” for the corrs and all shania twain stuff incl. “i’m gonna getcha good”. this song has a huge “chart-potential”. my favourite is however DO YOU WANNA GO WITH ME (great music, marie sounds a bit like OPHELIE WINTER “I SPY”) and BAD MOON has got great lyrics (so deep).

@marcusvandeursen: wow, is it already christmas time? great site, great content, great work!!! Thanks a lot!!

well...I love Per’s demos...just listen to Almost unreal or Here comes the weekend. Although, these demos from Marie isn’t bad either.
But of course demos sounds unfinished...THEY ARE DEMOS!!!!!!!!

Bad Moon? From which Roxette album is this from? I checked all my Rox albums and couldn´t find such song!
flower said on April 8, 2004 09:04:
It’s no Roxette-song but a demo by Marie.
You can find it (among others) on the internet.
(links mentioned above)
I hope they’ll be on the forthcoming album of Marie. We’ll see.
Tom_Larson said on April 8, 2004 11:32:
THESE ARE NOT GOOD SONGS BUT OLD EARLY DEMOS OF MARIE STOLEN BY SOME THIEF!!!
(and it’ll be the end of Roxette if the new songs sound like that)
on_a_mission said on April 8, 2004 14:29:
where can I get these songs? Cant find them on the russian site!
on_a_mission said on April 8, 2004 14:36:
thanx
Where did Bad Moon come from? Is it a marie song? Is it old/new/unreleased etc....?
I think its promising stuff. The best I’ve heard in the last few years, aside from mazarin.
I’d say that its Isacsson on guitar. Its pretty dramatic stuff, a bit ’classic’ I don’t think it would nescessarily sell. It sounds dated, but its a good enough song.
Edit - I changed my mind, it sounds dated, overblown and cheesy. Frankly its another big 80s blow-out. Its really not that good. Honestly. I’d appreciate an answer to the question posed though, then you can all disagree violently. ;-)

@ joyrider: Shania‘s husband is Robert John “Mutt” Lang. He also produced the early foreigner albums, highway to hell and back in black of AC/DC and the most succesful Def Leppard and Bryan Addams records. He‘s got a very unique style which i love to death.

BAD MOON ROCKS.! ! ! its so different from roxeettel, marie’s music does have alot more REAL instruments than roxette lately lol
joyrider said on November 18, 2002 16:04:
wooow - this new songs from marie are just awasome! i like this alternative style she has in her english songs!! my favourites are DO YOU WANNA GO WITH ME and BAD MOON. one question: is per the one who is against guitars in roxette-songs? marie’s tracks are full of it in a new great style!! are this really demos? they sound so perfekt! per’s demos always sound a bit unfinished ...
what do you think? do you fell in love with this wonderful marie fredriksson-songs like i did? in my opinion they are much better than those “bonus-ep-songs”, don’t you think?
rock on (c;
