I was thinking of continue the discuion we had about the salvation army
and yeah they are aginst gay ppl

My old boss was in the Salvation Army...

religion freaks?

religion freaks?... nah I would not say that....

Salvation Army do a lot of good, well they do in the UK, give up spare time to help homeless people and stuff.... it is a pity more of the everyday public are not like this... the world might be a better place...

the salvation army has become a bit of a joke in my country at least here on the east cost...when peopel die and you wanna donate their furnature and stuff to them they r VER picky as to what they take then all they do is resell it at crazy proces to the public noone gets the money liek starving amrican kids should

In Australia they are probably one of the most high profile, well known charities...there is of course the religion base but its certainly not hugely pushed down your throat. They are well respected here, they help such a diverse range of groups. With donations, I really think they have a hard time of it, people just dump all their old festy crap in the charity bins and expect them to be grateful. But the money raised from domations goes where it should.

Having said that their second hand stores here are really cool, I often go there to look for old Levis and stuff :)

I got my halloween costumes at the salvation army stores!

The Swedish branch of the SA is harmless, they don’t harrass people at all. They only collect money and old things/clothes. I’m sure they don’t really care if people are gay or not.

They’re bit of a big thing in the UK... adverts on tele, newspapers etc.
The only thing I don’t like about them, is the housing scheme thing they run in my city, they take in the rough ones, etc and the area around there had become quite dodgy. Don’t go there alone type thing.
Other than that, they’re cool.
Saly Army, Harold from neighbours is in the saly Army, ehehehe. ;)

tev: they do!!! i´m sure cause my boyfriend cant tell his family for 1 reason they are in the salvation army

Maybe he just can’t tell his family? Maybe he’s using the excuse they’re in the Salvation Army, so he doesn’t have to tell them.

@ Ted, nah sounds like he is just too scared to admit it... but as she says ^^ why tell!

he has admitted it for himself

Well, I can only assume it’s a different thing if you actually ARE a member of the SA. But I don’t really care enough to bother.
