roxette DVD sold close to 1 mil just in Canada

It appears that the Roxette DVD is doing pretty well in Canada and has sold close to 1 mil in just a few months of its release.

If you sell a million records in Canada, it’s a big deal. Basically, Platinum over here is 100,000 records.

I know that Look Sharp! and Joyride had both 6 times Platinum in Canada. Apart from Sweden and Norway the albums sold best in Canada in the beginning time 1989-92. I found these awards on the wall of Per’s Hotel in Halmstad.

If I’m not wrong there are 30 million Canadians. It has to be all time record sales of Roxette, can’t be 2 weeks of DVD :|
Spain is larger than that (40 million) and to sell 1 million copies of just one release is almost impossible, there’re just 3 or 4 bands able to get that figure... ever :O

..As for the 1.000.000 sold copies: Guess it’s official albums sold during the years - not the new DVD?!!!! It’d be to unbelievable to me! Why on earth should ppl buy that many of the new DVD?!?!

(And reading the article - eventhough my english isn’t the best - it says NOTHING about selling DVDs but about sales in GENERAL)?!!!!

darkblade: To people here (not me as a fan), the DVD was mostly all new stuff. People here only remember Joyride and The Look and the videos, well they don’t even show those!!!
