I think I’ve got the same problem - I’m watching “Mazarin backstage” right now and my DVD player’s saying the disc’s broken at around 6:40! I didn’t have time to check the rest of the DVD yet, so I don’t know about the rest..
*edit* Just checked the rest: “Ta en kaka till” and “En mazarin blir till” seem to be working fine (Is it just me or is the picture quality of EMBT really worse than before? Think I have to compare the bitrates...), but I can’t even get “Produktion” to work! The picture simply freezes at “Inspelad live...” and that’s it!
The strange thing is that both problems are gone when I use my DVD-ROM!
GTiG said on November 28, 2003 05:21:
Haven’t got the Mazarin DVD yet... but I did have that kind of problem with Maries “Äntligen Live” DVD back in 2000 too... And I agree that it is REALLY annoying not to be able to see the whole thing....
frodi said on November 28, 2003 11:31:
skink05: does you watch it in the computer or in an external DVD-player (that are directly connected to the telly)?
Coz the thing if you use it in a computer and you use PowerDVD you need to fix something called “...dignotics” or something like that. Can’t really remember how.
Is it only on the Gessle dvd or is it on others as well, cuz if it’s only the G-dvd it might be damaged.
Pincette said on November 28, 2003 11:58:
i´ve got the same problem. i return to sweden in 10 days and I hope I can change the DVD or something.
daniel_alv said on November 28, 2003 12:01:
I have only watchd the concert and Produktion, Backstage and a little clip of Ta en kaka till, no problems here... the only fault I have seen is that if u use the track by track links and press sergla på ett moln u don’t jump to the beginning of the song...
roxlad said on November 28, 2003 12:10:
Maybe people from the FanShop should check with EMI if there are some problems with thr DVD before shipping to international customers....
skink05 said on November 28, 2003 12:24:
Ok...i tryed to watch it on my xbox console where every movie have worked very good this far exept the mazarin dvd. I tryed to watch it on my computer and it was a little bit better. I changed it back to the store and i getted a new copy...hope it works.
Starrox said on November 28, 2003 15:51:
I’m watching “Produktion” and “Mazarin backstage” right now and both problems are suddenly gone! I could reproduce them last night, but not now - not that I’m unhappy about that, it’s just strange ;-)
*edit* Great, now it’s “En mazarin blir till” that’s not working properly!
sparroweye said on November 28, 2003 17:46:
that bothers me too daniel (that segla på ett moln don’t beginn in the beginning or what ever to say...)
but otherwise -no problems. (I’ve only played it on the computer though...)

yooohhooo! so we have a shitty ballad+pop hits and now even a shitty Per dvd.. who the hell do they contract to produce the dvds???
btw, i never had problems with Marie’s dvd...
Denstandigaresan said on November 29, 2003 00:21:
Na, never had problems with Marie DVD either... so hoping won’t with the Per one. But, kinda worried!? :S
Should be coolness. Got two players in the house. If one doesn’t like it, i’ll hope the other does. But not gonna send it back... NO MINE... MY PER DVD. :D
Joey_Ramone said on November 29, 2003 14:05:
I got my signed copy yesterday and it plays well on my Xbox. No problems here. It’s kinda weird because my Roxette - All videos... DVD doesn’t work on the Xbox.
Johanlarsson said on November 29, 2003 14:40:
On same thing subject (quite!). Two days before I copied Gyllene Tider - återtåget CD on to my computer. Y’know what? I have a play list for GT Instant Hits shows on my computer, the whole thing with title. I have Instant Hits album also, so I think it is my mistake, but no it isn’t. The CD on computer looks like it has Teaser Japanese and Småstad on it - WHAT?
Denstandigaresan said on November 29, 2003 15:40:
I received my DVD this morning. Not allowed to watch. I checked it quickly. Seems ok. But literally 5 seconds worth of a couple songs... and the very beginning of ’En Mazarin Blir Till’. Not worth sending back, you’re likely to get another one with same problem. I can’t return if mine is faulty. It’s a christmas present and the 14 days return policy will be well over by then. :(
Not to worry. Fingers crossed.
Joyride007 said on November 29, 2003 21:28:
I hope that mine will be OK!!! :) It will arrive for 3 weeks I think.
ally77 said on November 30, 2003 12:31:
Both copies I bought from CDON work PERfectly fine (ok pardon the pun!!) Played both and no problems to report...
P.S this DVD rocks and kicks @$$
P.P.S Per looks so sexy!! ;)
Denstandigaresan said on November 30, 2003 17:13:
Ok, just checked mine... told mum about the expected problems... and nothing. It’s all fine. :) The bit on backstage, 6.40 minutes... I think that might be where the layer changes, maybe the player went a bit stubborn? But, what I checked, all cool. :)
ally77 said on November 30, 2003 17:28:
^^^^ with her checked both of my copies at the 6.40 mark backstage and totally fine!!
Denstandigaresan said on November 30, 2003 19:39:
Some players have trouble with layer change.
I checked the Production thing, and it played good. :)

I have a break at 24:14, in På promenad, anyone else?
Denstandigaresan said on December 3, 2003 19:37:
Checked mine again, and made the mummy a wee bit annoyed! ;)
No error here at 24:14. I played from 23:30 to 24:30... and no problem.
Not to say that I won’t have any when I play the whole thing.
Got mine same place as ally77, and hers is ok... so touch wood!
pietROxette said on December 3, 2003 21:19:
Finally got my DVD. It works fine, it only had some reading problems during Ga och fiska, but when I’ve played that song again, it had no problems.
Katuska said on December 3, 2003 21:58:
Mine is... perfect:-)
I mean the production is fine.
But... I can’t find myself:-(
Maybe our flag for a short moment....
CRIZ said on December 5, 2003 22:24:
My DVD works really fine. Ive only problems to choose between Dolby surround and Digital. The curser doesn’t move. I don’t care. The rest works fine..but the sound is strange...Don’t know if it’s the fault of the DVDplayer, the DVD or of my Surroundinstallation. The sound is changing between high and low all the time....hmm...
Anybody got the same problems?
Denstandigaresan said on December 5, 2003 22:51:
I only have Surround sound via my stereo system. When I had a quick play with the DVD in the week, the sound was excellent.
But like I said, it isn’t a tiptop system! ;)
tevensso (moderator) said on December 5, 2003 23:09:
Yes, they seem to have missed that menu, but you can switch the sound with the remote.
Sanna said on December 7, 2003 14:47:
@Criz
I have the same problem with the voice. I’ve played the DVD with three different DVD-players. It worked only well with a real DVD player (not those which were included in computers).
pietROxette said on December 7, 2003 14:58:
Due to lack of time, I could only try now to watch the documentaries on the DVD, so far I’ve only played the concert, which was more or less okay. However, I can’t play any of the documentaries! I always get an error saying that the disc might me dirty or faulty. Well, for sure it isn’t dirty at all. I’ve even bought a DVD-player cleaning disc, and after running it, I still have the same problem. None of my other DVDs have this mess. Now I have to have it sent back to Sweden to have it replaces. Thank you, thank you Capitol for manufacturing such a poor DVD!
Denstandigaresan said on December 7, 2003 16:08:
I’m gonna say it again. It’s not just the DVD, I don’t think. Most of the people I know and have read about, it’s fine.
I think it’s players having trouble with it. The Lazers seem to be having trouble picking the information up, hence the freezing, and not being able to play the documentries... which are probably on the second layer, this is when the troubles start, with the layer change. Or so it appears.
I personally think if you change the disc, the one you get back with function exactly the same on your player.
If you know someone with a DVD player, try it out on theirs.
But pretty pointless swapping for another, what will probably be, for you... another faulty DVD.
The DVD is almost see through. Which, when the layer change is picked up, is even thinner for the lazer to read.
I’ve yet to see mine all the way through, but what I have seen, and tried, is all cool.
Unless, the ones I know who got it from the same place as me, have been lucky and the batch from CDON, are all good.
tcooh said on December 7, 2003 16:15:
For me the DVD seems okay, but they have missed with the start of one of the concert tracks, 8-Segla På Ett Moln. It plays well if I watch the whole concert, but if I skip tracks, and wants to see 8 it starts about 1 minute into the song, so they missed the chapter start with that song, at least on my copy. Same chapter-error on all my DVD players. Anyone else have this, or just my copy of the DVD?
ernes said on December 7, 2003 20:14:
I saw the whole concert and it was perfect, no problem at all, I played it on my non computer DVD in Stereo on a Stereo TV. No problems at all with the sound or with image quality.
When I play it on my computer the sounds goes high and low all the time, well, specially when Per sings, I’m not sure what happens, it’s the same in Stereo and in 5.1.
Anyway, on my TV it plays perfect, both concert and documentaries.
The problem with chapter 8 is here too.
I bought it at Ginza, the first ones signed, so I think all who bought that ones might be playing it OK.
Ernes.
pietROxette said on December 9, 2003 14:49:
EMI Sweden confirmed that yes, the Per DVD does, in fact, have a problem.
Quoting a line from the e-mail they’ve sent to the store I’ve ordered my copy from:
”...there was a small problem that could make some DVD players to lock themselves...”
Small? Huh?
They’ve also said that “There is a new master being made but we haven’t received any stock yet.”
Hopefully there won’t be a small problem on the new master that could make some DVD-players to explode...
tevensso (moderator) said on December 9, 2003 15:19:
LOL! That would be the 5.1 selection button I assume. Mine doesn’t lock up, I can back out of it, but my friend’s player has to be turned off completely and restarted.
Denstandigaresan said on December 9, 2003 15:19:
*Falls off chair*
WOW! I bet that was painful for them! ;)
IF they swapped the problem DVD’s... what would happen, would they accept just the DVD, or require the case back too? Na, won’t do that I hope. Cause I know lots of people that have it signed.
I can’t wait for christmas to come... to see my copy.
LoneGunman said on December 9, 2003 15:19:
Mine is perfect !! :) By the way... what a DVD... Per is the BEST !! :)
Denstandigaresan said on December 9, 2003 15:34:
’Some DVD players to lock themselves’
That’s an arse.
I went into that menu, 5.1 thingy... just to have a nosey. Didn’t choose anything and was able to back out.
Zargo said on December 10, 2003 13:58:
The only odd thing I’ve noticed with the dvd is that my player tells me the dvd is in 2 channel sound it’s actually in 6, and when I switch it to what my player says is 6 channel, it’s actually now playing the 2-channel.
I’ve played 100s of dvds in that player and this the first time that has happened.
JoyRidErno said on December 10, 2003 16:48:
@Criz, Sanna
Same problem here. Sound is *NOT* good. But guess what? I have the same problem also with new Rox-DVD ! ! !
RealOnePlayer says it can’t read the disc, cos copyprotection is strange... on both discs.
Mazarin dvd played well with my friens Xbox (locked few times, but as said that’s normal...) and it also works if I use “decoding card” on computer, but not with software decoding. WHY??? What is the problem with EMI? Why they can’t do anything right anymore, AVEM worked well.... No problem with that disc....
Do I have to buy “real” DVD-player or Xbox? What if I send both DVDs back to CDON. Can they give any better than this?
Both DVDs... can’t believe... I’m really f*cked up!
DeLuk said on December 12, 2003 17:10:
Could someone please tell me just something: is the bonus DVD which comes with Per’s album “Mazarin” supposed to have any problem too, or?... (I haven’t yet acquired any of Roxette’s/Roxette-related DVDs - nor any other at all for the matter - for the one reason of not having a player, the only exception is really the bonus one which came with “Mazarin”, which I obviously haven’t yet watched, so, being through all this feedback, about Per’s and Roxette’s new DVDs, suddenly I find myself fearing, is it to expect problems with “En Mazarin Blir Till” too, or?...)
pietROxette said on December 12, 2003 17:32:
The bonus DVD that came with the limited edition of Mazarin works fine.
