@Aaso, i think you’re totally right!! i don’t like the U.S charts myself... I acually at home, listen to radio europe (sweden) ALL THE TIME! it’s just so much better and it plays songs i love all the time...
that’s my opinion though...
Markuz said on December 2, 2003 20:11:
Both charts suck. Ok, we don’t have as much R&B as you guys but... gosh, Kylie, Jeanette, C. Aguilera... same shit, different smell.
Who cares about the charts? They can be easily manipulated by record and media companies (viacom for example).
Rony said on December 2, 2003 22:06:
well, don’t know about you, but i said i like europe charts better than US, just because i love pop and in europe there is more pop than anything else.(from what I hear...)

LOL Both of these Charts Suck
And they all Heavily Represent what’s Popular in US/UK
I don’t Even see any Artists from Continental Europe
And if I was Belgian or Swedish I would be totally Pissed
Sascha said on December 3, 2003 09:18:
Where do you get the European Charts?
Just from reading, the US Chart looks ridiculous to me: All this gangster rapper feat. another rapper shit. Isn’t anyone able to deliver a song on it’s own?
It’s very true that music market is controlled by UK/US, same way as Cinema is controlles by US. A sad example of world domination. The euro chart at least has 2 continental artists: Jeanette (Roxette wannabe) and The Rasmus.

EU chart for me without a question, i hate rap music its carp.
Aaso said on December 3, 2003 14:01:
I don’t hate Rap music. I hate Rappers!!!! Specialy 50 Cent !!!!
Aaso said on December 3, 2003 14:02:
The most positive thing about Euro charts is that there are always several kind of music in it. Sometime you can find Rock, sometimes you see Metal, Sometimes you see hip hop ....
Stormkeeper said on December 3, 2003 19:00:
I hate hate hate hate all American music, it sucks.
And what I hate even more is MTV Europe only plays 95 % American crap stuff.
And IF they play something European, it´s British or Irish.
Rony said on December 4, 2003 18:31:
and what’s exactly wrong with British and Irish??????????????????
Sascha said on December 5, 2003 10:16:
The problem is that artists from outside the US/UK don’t really get a chance. At least not in the dimensions of angloamerican artists. :-( If Roxette was from the USA they’d already sold 200 million records... ;-)

Sascha , i do agree with you , groups singers from other counties dont get much of a look in. becouse they from a foreign speaking place is my guess.

It’s really heavy on the R&B. . .not all my taste, really. Did you get this from Billboard? Try seeing what the Adult Contemporary chart is, maybe it’s closer to Europe.
