So who is going to Oslo
Ketil said on September 20, 2003 17:23:
I was just wondering. I know Fliss and Klair is comming from England and Bengt from Bergen, but are there any other DailyRoxetters?
ally77 said on September 20, 2003 17:56:
Would have been if the flights with ryanair where not £400!!!
mattias said on September 20, 2003 18:01:
Im going there by bus from Uppsala. The ticket is only $20! The train back is $30.
felicity-brown said on September 20, 2003 18:22:
Well, Ketil, you know that myself and Klair are coming - also two others here from the UK. But who else? C’mon peeps, maybe we could arrange some kind of get together/drinks after the show... although the venue is a bar, no? ...and there will already be Gessle/Roxette fans... Hmmm *scratches head*
No, not nits!!! :D
felicity-brown said on September 20, 2003 18:51:
@ Ally: £400?!?! Ouch!! Ryanair have some great prices, if you’re able to book in advance ...we got return flights for £38. Can’t argue with that, eh? :)
roxeteer (moderator) said on September 20, 2003 18:58:
If someone who is going to the Oslo concert wants free tickets for two (one + a friend), please email me. First come, first served.
SuiraM said on September 20, 2003 19:11:
Why do you give away two tickets for free? What about the people who entered the competition?
roxeteer (moderator) said on September 20, 2003 19:29:
We have two tickets left from the competition. I’ve contacted many contestants during this week, but everyone said they can’t go. There’s no time to try that anymore. If someone’s actually going there anyway, here’s the chance to get the tickets for free.
Roxoholic said on September 20, 2003 19:30:
I´m going and I´m taking one of my best friends with me!!!!
I can´t wait!!!!!!
ally77 said on September 20, 2003 20:07:

Na, it ain’t me! It’s a clone!
*I can’t say Mut won’t do streak though! ;)*
KungAvSand said on September 20, 2003 20:20:
I´ll be there! I saw him in Skövde this summer though. But it isn´t every day Gessle play in my home-country, so of course I gotta be there.
Does anybody know how many tickets that have been sold? I´ve heard that Rockefeller have a capasity of about 1 000 people. I hope it´s sold out. That would be cool.
ally77 said on September 20, 2003 20:23:
awwww it will sure be a top concert with just 1000 people, almost like a personal show just for you!!
SuiraM said on September 20, 2003 21:47:
Yeah, the ambience is great at those sort of concerts at Rockefeller. It‘s quite fun when everyone starts to jump to a uptempo song, you can feel the floor yield?

Would have been great to see this on the first page instead of “hidden” in a threat...
(Not everyone reads every topic - there are even people who never read SmallTalk.)
Maybe this is an idea for the next time.
All winners, have fun!
Starrox said on September 21, 2003 12:22:
Maybe that was the intention behind posting it here and not on the frontpage ;-)
camillarox said on September 21, 2003 16:44:
as I wrote in the front page, I think next time Visa & co should NOT worry about any contest. Why?
Some people can just complain about EVERYTHING instead of being actually glad about the fact that Daily Roxette does care to get its members something else that news; which for me would be enough because it is more than proved that it IS the best news source available.
Sometimes I feel some people do not have anything else to do than complain, if this is your modus vivendi, then I really pitty you.
Denstandigaresan said on September 21, 2003 18:34:
It was bloomin’ brilliant of them to get tickets! :)
Only bummer was the short notice... I can’t see anyone would’ve complained if the competition was run earlier. Would’ve been reasonable costs to get to Norway.
And maybe the runner up prizes shouldn’t have been told. As some complained about that!!!
Jud (moderator) said on September 21, 2003 18:45:
well why complain about something you get as a plus and completely for free? I participate on other contests here in Vienna for cinema tickets and other stuff and I never even thought of complaining because their contest was done in too short-notice or because I won and I got the email too late to arrange going to the cinema or wherever ??
I think it is nice enough that Visa bothered to a) set the contests up b) chase people to find a winner! (which I find quite sad).
AND I guess the Mazarin CDs are a “consolation” present for those who wanted to win a ticket and didn’t win it..
All these kind of contest that depend on EMI do happen just like.. all of a sudden and you have to take them as they come :) The PG M&Gs, the release party.. it is nice enough that such contest are running and prizes are given!
ally77 said on September 21, 2003 21:04:
I got offered the ticket and would have took it regardless of flight cost at £400 return if
a) I had the money in the bank
or
b) Had a credit card to pay for flight...
Unfortunatly not the case and I had no way of booking the flight at such a high cost! Just goes to show how airlines rip you off to fly from London Stansted to Oslo on Monday 22/09 cost near enough £400 return and to fly on the same flight booking 6 weeks advance it only cost £60 return.... Talk about rip off Britain!
Visa, thanx for offering me the ticket it was a nice gesture I would have gone if the flights where not so god damn expensive!
Jud (moderator) said on September 21, 2003 21:20:
@Ally: I didn’t mean anything against you, I was refering to those who participated without any intention to go to the shows at all.
When Visa told me that he hadn’t found anybody for Oslo, I suggested him to contact you because you had written on the other thread you could maybe go + join your friends there ;).. too bad it couldn’t be in the end :S
ally77 said on September 21, 2003 22:25:
@ Judith, I know.... I could not belive the cost of flights... talk about steep... but hey not to worry! it was not ment to be!!
Jud (moderator) said on September 21, 2003 22:30:
I always think that things happen cuz they have to happen... there’s always a reason :)
It has nothing to do with this.. not really, but this summer I have won tix to see some films, films we wanted to see.. except for “Pirates of the caribean”.. and you see, a couple of days after the premiere, a woman that went to the German course with me last semester wrote me an email to ask if I wanted to join her + our teacher to see the film :) We hadn’t met eachother for long and well, if i had won tix, I couldn’t have met them :P
Denstandigaresan said on September 21, 2003 22:32:
I agree Judith... which is why not telling people about the Mazarin cd’s was a bloomin’ good idea! Cause imagine how many would’ve entered then! With absolutely no intention of going, but just wanted the CD!
ally77 said on September 22, 2003 07:26:
Everyone have a great time out there..... let us all know how it goes!
Ketil said on September 22, 2003 07:34:
So far it looks like Fliss, Klair, Bengt, Mattias, Marius, Roxoholic and I are the Dailyroxetters that are going to the Oslo show. Even though we aren’t that many it would be nice if we did some kind of get together after the show as Fliss suggested.
ally77 said on September 23, 2003 17:56:
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww all those people in OSLO hope you have an excellent time!
@ Ketil... you forgot Denstandigaresen (manda) and Jane (Mutley)
mattias said on September 20, 2003 17:35:
Sure, I’m coming with a friend if mine!
