Is Skivhugget OK?

On 16th June 2003, I have bought roxette dvd online from a site called www.skivhugget.com. But up until now, i still haven’t received it...it’s been 3 months now and i’m still wondering whether i have been cheated or maybe the procedure will take a long period of time... I’m from Malaysia and it’s very hard to find roxette dvd here....can someone help me?...i’ve been trying to e-mail the web administrator but they did not reply me....

Beware of Skivhugget, they can be very strange sometimes. I’ve bought about 4 times from them, and once they figured out that they can’t accept my credit card (although they have successfully charged it several times before). What’s more, they said that whenever I place an order they would immediately cancel it. Also, they don’t reply my e-mails, they treat me as if I wanted to rob them or what. There are several people I know who had the same problems with them.

this about the credit card doesn’t depend on them, the banks get always lists of cc or countries where illegal use of ccards is common. Some shops decide not to allow any cards from clients in those countries at all, just not to risk it... some ignore such warnings :S

Weird that Hungary is among such countries :S

It’s only Skivhugget. There’s absolutely no problem with my credit card, neither do merchants around the world think cards here are open to fraud. It’s just Skivhugget messing with some people. I’m using my card regularly over the internet (with Amazon.com, eBay, BidPay, or to cover the charges for some online services I’m subscribing to), without any kind of problems. The people at Skivhugget told me that they couldn’t charge my credit card - although they clearly didn’t make any attempts to do so, as my bank always calls me if someone wants to charge my card over the internet for safety reasons. Plus, before that, they were able to charge the same card without problems. After they figured out this crap, they have been pretty rude to me.

I’ve not had a problem when I used them. A friend used her card... but delivered to my address. VERY fast delivery... Actually, it was the Roxette DVD!

I never had any problems with them either and I even purchased with my credit card (my name as card holder) and had it delievered to another name + address. Their emails have always been very friendly too :)

On the other side, I had problems with another company (hosting), their system could suddenly not process my ccard, even if I had payed with it to them before and I was using it regularly on other stores, after some months then they changed system again and could easily use my ccard with them again :S

So maybe Skivhugget’s bank changed the system and/or Skivhugget got a lot of fraud and decided to get more secure/ carefull.. why should they wanna loose the money they would make selling to you anyway??? :S

I guess it also depends on how big a company is, I guess the bigger the co is, the more fraud = more € lost they can take.. ?

i’ve ordered from thast place nearly a dozen times and i have never ever had a problem with them. if your credit card is drawn off of a small independent bank it may not be billed or they may have problems billing to it. Also if you are billing through a debit card that is tied to both a savings and checking account you usually have that problem

citibank is known to be a troublesome bank...aside from the fact that they charge their customers stupid fees they also have erroneous reputations with many vendors thats probably part of the problem right there

Hi there. I´ve ordered a zillion times from Skivhugget, with credit card, and I never got any problem. They were safe and fast. Althought their shipping rate is very high, but that´s the price to pay.

I´ve also ordered there for many times and always received my stuff on time. Very reliable and safe! I´ve been to their shop in Gothenborg two days ago and they had great offers. Skivhugget is the best! If you have problems, just send them an email.
