THE BEST ROXETTE ALBUM

What is your favorite ROXETTE album?
I have always thought that TOURISM
was the best album ever put together by the band...
Roxlander said on September 2, 2003 12:53:
I couldn’t choose one. For example if I want pop my favourite is Look Sharp!, but if I want crashing guitars my favourite would be CBB, and what about HAND?, very different to other Roxalbums.
No, I can’t choose only one :-p

Tourism for me - because it combines studio, acoustic and live sessions.
But from the pure studio albums... I can’t decide. Everyone has it’s own style, I love them all!

My alltime favourite is also Tourism.
Just love The Rain, Heartshaped Sea, Queen of Rain and all the other.

CRASH!BOOM!BANG!
It’s also an album, which attracted more serious audiences, and many critics started to look at Roxette not just as to Pop/Baloons/Candies/Children band.

All the albums are good of course, but for me there are 3 albums that stands out:
1) Joyride - Favourites: As good as everybody!
2) Crash! Boom! Bang! - Favourites: “Harleys & Indians” (The toughest Roxette-song I´ve heard.), “Crash! Boom! Bang!”, “Sleeping In My Car”, “Vulnerable” (Per should sing more ballads!), “I Love The Sound Of Crashing Guitars”.
3) Have A Nice Day - Favourites: “Crush On You”, “Waiting For The Rain” (It stands out on the album as a different type of song. But it´s a song that you need to listen to some times before it sits. I didn´t like it at first. Anyway, I think this song shows that Marie really should continue to write songs for Roxette.), “Anyone”, “7Twenty7” (But I like the demo better!), “Stars” (A genious song that actually sounds better in the Almighty-version.), “Beautiful Things”.

For me it’s HAND hands down—that one stayed in the CD player for months on end and I have yet to tire of it. It’s as solid an album as Roxette’s ever recorded, and much more satisfying for me than Room Service.
From the first jangle of “Crush On You” all the way through to the great “Beautiful Things”, I put it in and play it through. “Wish I Could Fly” (what a sexy, sexy song! And that video!), “Anyone”, “. . .Long Long Time”, the surprising “Stars”, “Salvation”, “7Twenty7”, “Waiting For The Rain”, “Staring At The Ground”, “I Was So Lucky”. . . just great from start to finish.
C!B!B! is my second favorite—love the title track especially, and “Run To You” is one of my all-time favorite Roxsongs.
Tourism also has so many great songs (except Cinnamon Street) that I would put it third. I have a lot of faves on that one too.

JOYRIDE
All songs are very good
HAVE A NICE DAY
Contains many of my favorite: songs “Stars”, “Crush on you”, “WICF”, “Salvation”, “Anyone”, “7twenty7”, “Beautiful things”... but I don’t like “Waiting for the rain” on it.
CRASH BOOM BANG
The most homogenius one, and grown up album.
Contains my favorite song ever “SIMC”

Mmmm hard one. I prefer a bootleg: The Atomium Files (Roxette Live in Brussels)
James_Earp said on September 9, 2003 16:42:
Tourism is the best album. Not a “bad” song on that record.
Favourites is Cinamon street, Why did you keep me waiting so long and Silver blue
Roxreporter said on September 9, 2003 16:58:
CBB!!!
It’s the most rocking album they made. It’s just the best one of them all.

@P-P-P-Pelle: is that bootleg from the RS-concert?
I’ve sent you and e-mail but there’s still an automatic reply....

The best album??? When i hear that Roxette have a new album release, i know it‘s always gonna be good and knowin‘ Per perfectionism through all those years, i‘m sure he wouldn‘t allowed anything but the best for us loving fans...
But if i had to choose one, in particular, i would have to say ‘JOYRIDE‘ ‘cause they seem to have so much fun with the songs and the recording...
The first album ‘PEARLS OF PASSION“ is also, for me, a very, very good album...
Lennon said on September 10, 2003 11:24:
Have A Nice Day & Tourism are my favorites.
Solo-Projects: TWATG, Mazarin & Den Ständiga Resan
I also think “Pearls of Passion” is very nice. Not extremely good, but a combination of songs that fits into the 80s and makes sence.
Room-Service contains better songs, but I don’t like it as a complete album. It’s too short and there’s nothing special happening.
With C!B!B! it was similar: lot’s of great songs, but compiled in a boring way after listening to it a few times. So “Love is all” should have been the last song, because I think, the first and last one on an album should always be special. The first one gives the first impression, the last song is the one you keep in mind in the end.
There’s too many mid- and lowtempo concentrated in the second half of the C!B!B!-album, too many cold-arranged songs that make the LP sound a little bit sterile.
The worst records are Dance Passion and Balladas en espaniol

The best Rox-album for me is Have A Nice Day
But I love every one of their albums like my own children.
Also I have to say that Heartland Café is one of my favourite albums (even though it isn´t roxette)
