I think I would like her music if she would actually sing. Seems she is always screeching, whispering or rapping. I once heard her sing the American National Anthem with Willie Nelson (strange combo - I know), and she sounded great! However, she never just sings, so I do not like her music.

Definitely a big NOOOOOO! Even our Mr Gessle doesn’t like her, and I can understand why :-) Even a creaking hinge makes a much better sound...

I used to like her, but she’s really changed, and not for good. Great songs like “Make it happen”, “Emotions” and “Someday” showed her wonderful voice. But where is that voice now? She doesn’t sing, she seens to be like crying.

I used to buy her CDs. She had an amazing voice, was beautiful and very womanly. She has changed quite a lot now. I started seeing the change after she got divorced. I dunno what happened to her. Her voice has changed. She looks worse. And her songs have gone bad. She acts like a teenager. I dunno... I stopped buying her CDs after Rainbow. I disliked Rainbow. Her 90’s stuff were beautiful though.

The way she sings is a looooooooooong sound with no silence in between that makes no sense at all... so for me is not music, but noise. It doesn’t matter the quality of your voice if you don’t have a clue of how to use it (Like in Pirelli’s slogan: “Power without control is useless”).

Well, Mariah used to have a team around her to tell her what she can and cannot do. That was when she was with Columbia/Sony. And she fought to get away from that to do things her way. Like it or not, she’s doing what she’s always wanted. Although she got horrible reviews for “Glitter,” such was not the case for “Wise Girls” which she got good reviews.

It seems that with her divorce she had some kind of overreacting .. she felt like in an golden cave when she was married and when she was free it seemed like that freedom wasn’t good for her, and she totally changed her image (from the nice girl from the neigbourhood .. always a little bit shy .. to a kind of bitch .. with the different hair, the bigger breasts, the pink .. I don’t like that side on her).
But beside that I think she is a really great singer and I really can’t think of any other besides Rox and related where I like so many songs ...

Well Roxette had about 5000 people in Stadthalle ... they don’t have to open the seats on the sides (which they haven’t done yet .. and they didn’t with Roxette).
