Cancelled Concerts?

Another thing from RoxService, i noticed that about 4 concerts were cancelled in Australia on the CBB tour. 1x Melbourne 1x Perth and 2x Sydney.
Does anyone know why? Not enough tickets sold or something?
I remember that the concert that I went to in Canberra was supposed to be at Bruce Stadium or something, but the venue was changed to The Royal Theatre - i think cause there weren’t enough tickets sold to fill the stadium so they changed to a smaller venue (but i could be wrong).

Yeah at least in Sydney it was because of poor ticket sales, this I know because I got front row seats to the second show and then they cancelled it :( But they only ever had two shows, only one was cancelled I don’t know where the discography got that third show that got cancelled from??
It was strange how much popularity they lost in those years between 91’-95’ cause they had four sold out shows in Sydney in Dec 91’ and everyone on radio etc...were ringing up and raving about how awesome the shows were then come Jan 95’ they only 3/4 filled one show...oh well that’s the music business I guess!

Yea, I remember all those concerts being cancelled and venues being changed, because of the poor ticket sales. CBB sold strongly early and dropped out far to quick, and by the time they got here, the single CBB was a flop, Fireworks didnt do anything special and Run to You was rush released when they were here. RTY I think went top 20 here in WA, I have the charts, the other states caused it to be another non-top 40 flop! :P
And there was also something about Per too. He was angry with all the poor sales etc and wouldnt do alot of interviews etc while in Australia.

i think RTY made it to 39 for 2 weeks?
How do suppose they would go if they decided to come and do one night in each city, like Bryan Adams did recently? I believe most of his were sellouts.

I always followed the ARIA chart, the Australian chart, and on the reverse was WA. RTY didn’t make the Top 40 on that, I’m sure. There’s another chart... can’t remember what its called, maybe you mean that one. Roxette has been out of any charts for so long its making me forget stuff :P If they came here now, with prmotion it may work. Thing is, even after they cancelled the 2nd CBB concert in Perth, the 1st still wasn’t a sellout.
