I don’t know if it’s sub-pop, but I kind of liked Collective Soul, their songs like “The World I Know”, “Shine”, “Forgiveness”.
Also some Wallflowers tunes. Moslty from their Bringing Down the Horse album “6th Avenue Heartache”, “One Headlight”.
I Guess None of these are really Sub-Pop :-(

They are Catchy, yet Very Serious Songs with Great Messages.

foo fighters are good as well. album the colour and the shape is a great piece of music which totally kix ass !

hmm... well i think pearl jam is much much more talented than nirvana... all the talent in nirvana was dave grohl... and he is still probably my favorite musician aside from chirs cornell and eddie vedder.... sure Nevermind was an awesome album... but Ten (pearl jam) was much better personally.... they stand for something... other than just teenage angst... which lets face it is a card delt one to many times if you know what i mean... um yeah... i mean Cobain only knew like 5 chords and they were mostly bar chords... but he sure did sing his skinny ass little heart out... and he was good... but eddie vedder, a little more underrated... and twice as good... he is very deep in many ways... and the band has a lot of fucking talent....
as do the foo fighters, queens of the stoneage, sound garden (RIP) and obviously audioslave... i saw them live at Lollapolooza... AMAZING..... hands down best performance ive seen under Pearl Jam and System of a down in 2002... yes

I was a Nirvana fan before Pearl Jam... but then he killed himself... due to the fact he didnt want to be popular and he couldnt handle it... if me and all those other people out there were the reason he killed himself.... then why the fuck am i going to continue to immortalize him like he DIDNT want... thats wrong.... plus Pearl Jam IS better musically they are just under rated... but if you dont listen to 90’s rock or grunge... you will not know that Pearl Jam isnt the best grunge band either... an awesome rock band though
if you knew more early 90’s bands you would know there are many great ones.... L7...SwitchBand...The Oysters... a lot more...
Fact: In 1992 “Ten”(Pearl Jam Album) outsold Nirvana’s “Nevermind” by 72,000... as they did more so wtih their other albums of that time... the also were asked to do twice as many shows and declined all but one of the ones from MTV... if nirvana didnt have MTV they would be no where... and no band should have to carry around that burden....... my point with that is.... apperently... they WERENT the best grunge band of all time... but then cobain died... and a lot of fans were gained that way... and the fans he already had became more extreme.... much like the effects of a publisity stunt... though it wasnt.... but cobains death then overshadowed Pearl Jam and Sound Garden... and kept them more underground... which is good then they didnt go all mainstream and against what their purpose was..... so they were a better band musically and thats all that matters to me... concidering it is MUSIC... i dont care about image and that he “killed himself for the music” i cared about his life... and what he did with that.... but all im saying is... they were not the best grunge band to “all those people” you speak of...
