cd vs vinyl

how do you prefer to listen to gt original 70’s and 80’s songs. on vinyl or on later cd pressings. personaly i think gt is made for vinyl and roxette for cd. gessle in swedish is definetely made fo vinyl to bad they didnt understand that themselves and released mazarin on vinyl. (spegelboll on vinyl promis for that someone understands something but not evrything). about roxette i think that early roxette before joyride is vinyl music. I hope for gt on vinyl for their 25 years.

I like the warm sound of vinyl. Sometimes digital music can be hard on the ears. Then again, vinyl has that crackly sound, and CDs are much clearer. I guess everything has their own faults. ;)

I like them both but I can´t see vinyl making a come-back ever again.

Well, vinyl was announced dead, when the CD came out, ,but up to today new vinyl albums are still being pressed!!
I also love the warm sound of vinyl, so I hope new material is being released on vinyl, and then not just for DJ (the DJ copies), but also complete albums and singles, just like DYWBMB from Per!!

EMI kicked around the vinyl idea for Mazarin but sadly decided against...

vynil is ok but honestly u can translate that feel to cd if you want to they did it to the lonely boys album and i love it

they got some cartridge sound in the beginning but that is a bad substitute, why make a cd that sounds like vinyl with sampled cracking. that makes you feel cheated. The fact that the lonely boys promos was i vinyl tells you something. its like a stereo record trying to sound like a mono record, why simply not make a mono record in the first place (this was a metaphor) what i mean is, if you want vinyl sound make a vinyl record not a cd.

There is a certain warmth in the sound of vinyl...
and don’t forget the fantastic 12” picture sleeves!
All the best, Rich-UK

I didnt notice that Paul Mcarthney didnt wear shoes on the abbey road cover until i bought the LP, cd coverphotos are simply too small. and the gt album gyllene tider (the first one) dont make any sence with diecut on the cd cover. I love the gatefold LP covers
