I think an official DVD release of all their VHS cassettes (except for DBUGTTC and The Videos, for obvious reasons) is a huge possibility. Perhaps a DVD of Sweden Live, Look Sharp! Live, and Crash! Boom! Live! would be on the new DVD list...I hope so. Two of those I haven’t got yet.
What I’d like to see though is another Rarities. I would also like to see I Want You on this particular album as well. That song is rarer than Rarities itself (which I hear is out-of-print :( ).

I’d really like Roxette to record with other well-known artists, so they can sell more... This material could be released on CD and maybe a tour could take Roxette in collaboration with other artists to the highest positions...
And if a Rarities 2 is released I would like it to have rare demos & songs such as “How can I Take a Chance on You?”, “Myth”, “You Don’t Understand Me (In-Spanish Version)”, “Fingertips (Demo)” etc. (There’s too much material...)
I think these are my wishes...
Take it to the sky!!!

Oops, I think I am talking with many Swedish people here. I am Greek and practically unfamiliar with Roxette’s solo releases. Just recently, I have bought The Lonely Boys’ CD and my review is that it is perfect. I also liked the ’60’s design and philosophy behind this release. (I am a Beatles fan also).
As far as future releases are concerned, I think an appropriate “Rarities” would be a logical next step. With all these B sides and stuff, an 160-minute 2CD would do us justice.
Or maybe a CD with live material... But you can’t beat these performances they do in the studio, can you?
How about a complete CD then with unreleased studio material? “The Outtakes, Vol. 1” and so on.
By the way, I think Per’s songwriting is getting better and better... “A thing about you” is in my Top 5 of all Roxette’s recordings and one of the sweetest love songs ever....
What does “Mazarin” mean? I saw that you all talk about this album with great enthusiasm...
Til’ next time...
P.S. Haven’t got a clue about the Swedish language. I do speak some German though. Do these two languages have something in common?
Bis Dann...
kiwijazza said on July 5, 2003 05:59:
I don’t think there’s much Sweden and Germany have in common with their language...except maybe a couple characters in their alphabet (ö, as an example).
Just came up with another thought...re-releasing Dance Passion would be a dream come true for me.

I think it’s likely we’ll see a new Roxette studio album in 2004. 2005 just seems so far away - and I don’t think it will be that long.
This fall would be the perfect opportunity for Capitol to re-issue Roxette’s albums in a box set (or individually) remastered, starting with “Look Sharp!” and ending with “Crash! Boom! Bang!” And as a bonus for this box set of remastered albums, a bonus CD of MTV Unplugged would work.
Without any new Roxette albums this year, it would also be nice to have some of this rare b-side material and so forth make it’s way onto official releases, especially the older stuff like “I Want You” or rare out of print remixes from “Look Sharp!” and so on. But this is more so a fan’s wish. I always wonder why record companies are so greedy when it comes to stuff like this.
And official DVD releases of their past videos need to be released.
Predictions? No, just wishes.

I was thinking today while I was away...a box set would be good...
antz said on July 6, 2003 21:04:
What do u mean by a boxset? Would it contain all the singles? If so it will be a rather large box!
Maybe they could have one cd per album -e.g all joyride releases (including b sides) on 1 cd.
Also I am really looking forward to a new roxette documentary (sp) with the whole history of roxette -including early tv appearances, interviews -that would be cool!

To be truth, the only thing that I want now is a Marie solo album, a mix between den standiga resan and äntligen, the production of the first and the mood of the second. That would be just perfect!!!! Come back MARIEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There’s a natural gap between Rox albums.
It’s about 2-3 years.
Since their last album was released this year, it would probably mean their next album will be out around 2005-2006. And that’s Rox’s 20th.
By then, Per & Marie’s kids will be at school full-time. P&M will be older themselves, so can I rule out some worldwide tour? (Keep scrolling down)
As for a new DVD...wow...it would be heaven.
I think Per will last with Mazarin ’til next year.
Marie will probably release some solo.
The reunion will happen around late 2004.
The Rox-box is a myth. Rarities 2 would contain demos only.
I think a live album/DVD is the best option right now.
Do you think I’m being too much of a bubblebraker?
I guess I’m just realistic.
But I can’t wait for Rox’s 20th. That will rock. And (if there’s a God) that one might even include some world tour...the last one, of course.
Rox on.
