Sorry, I agree with Coy also. I find matchbox twenty quite boring. No excitement, so-so hooks, music made for radio and satisfying the corporate suits. Really, music doesn’t GET more corporate than m20. At best, they are just OK, radio is more of a fan than people actually BUYING their records. They are much too SAFE, sorry...
To be honest, I find 95% of what’s on the Billboard chart annoying, and I don’t listen to pop radio because of this very reason. Evanescence is actually not bad, but people I work with play the whole thing often, so I may not decide to buy it after all, cuz in time, I will be sick of them, LOL!!

Sorry Majdy, I find Shakira excellent, and an actual artist with credibility, with deep thoughts + ideas. Sure, you maybe got sick of her 4 English singles, but if you heard the whole “Laundry Service” CD in its entirety or her earlier Spanish stuff, you would think differently...I’m not sick of her cuz I don’t listen to radio, and she isn’t played much here these days anyway...I agree about J-Lo though, talentless...Shakira is of a whole other level...
Sorry you don’t dig Macy Alfonsette, I find her to be quite funky + cool...
Matthias, I agree about Celine though, yet I never really liked her though...

And Kachina, sorry you don’t dig Shania, I love that song, “Kaching!!”, very ABBA-ish!!! LOVE that song, maybe cuz it’s not a hit in the US + played to death?? I disagree, NONE of her songs sound the same...”Up!!” is as diverse a CD as you can get, 19 tracks of variety, in 3 versions too, but the Green disc is unnecessary, as she is NOT country, but commercial powerpop, an ABBA/Def Leppard hybrid!!

Kachina - I agree - I am not a huge fan of Kaching either - it is my least favorite on the Cd. But I do like Shania’s cd - it is very diverse and has some great songs on it (which is very difficult for me to admit, since I have always been opposed to country music and artists). Unfortunately, I think they only release the same “pop-type” songs for radio-play, so it appears that all her music sounds the same. If you listen to the cd, you will notice the songs are quite different.

Kachina, I figured Shania’s “Kaching” would be played to death over there...are you SURE you don’t like it?? Your name sounds like a tribute to the song, LOL!! I love all of Shania’s songs, she’s a very talented singer/songwriter!! Yes, the tune sounds TOTALLY ABBA-ish!! Sounds like a song from “Super Trouper”!! The melody, arrangement, production, everything!! The whole “Up!” album is like ABBA meets Def Leppard, I’m serious!! Hell, “C’est La Vie” rips off the chorus melody from “Dancing Queen”, but in a good way, haha!!
Hey Shane, how’s it going?? I actually LIKE that Justin Timberlake song, sounds VERY 80s, like Sly Fox or something, really catchy. Dunno that Tyrese song, the again, I don’t listen to ANY mainstream hiphop!! 50 Cent turns my stomach!! Sorry you don’t dig “Kaching” either, it’s one of my fave songs on “Up!”, just perfect pop in my eyes. When playing select tracks from “Up!”, I always go to “Up!”, “I’m Gonna Getcha Good”, maybe “Nah!”, “I Wanna Get To Know You That Good”, “Kaching”, maybe “Thank You Baby”, “Waiter! Bring Me Water!”, “What A Way To Wanna Be!”, maybe “I’m Not In The Mood (To Say No!)”, “In My Car (I’ll Be The Driver)”, and “When You Kiss Me”. BTW, Shania is NOT country, she is commercial powerpop, with maybe a HINT of country in her ballads, but that’s it. Her roots are in 80s radio pop/hard rock, like Bryan Adams and Heart. The proof is her early work from the late 80s, called “Eileen ’Shania’ Twain: Beginnings/The Complete Limelight Sessions”, where she sounded like Alannah Myles meets Heart, with a dash of disco. She does 2 covers on that CD: Cher’s “Half Breed” (fitting, considering her heritage), and Bobbi Martin’s forgotten 1970 chestnut #13 hit single “For The Love Of Him”, awesome, one of my first fave songs when I was very little, like 3 years old!!! Again, sorry, but Shania is NOT country, never was truly a country artist. Sure, the record company tried to MOLD her as one, but it came off as fake, plus she HATES being called a country artist. She’s much more comfortable doing EXTREMELY catchy, commercial powerpop with a Europop twist, a la ABBA, maybe cuz she is influenced by Europop, living in Switzerland...she basically raises her brand of pop to the level of art or even the Terminator, hehe, being her songs are like heat-seeking missiles...

Camela is full of shit, (with false strings and horrible words and even worse music), Tatu... no thanks, Mel C makes me sick and I think that American Life rules... that´s my opinion.
Oh, I forgot: eminem, the last single of Ricky MArtin (prffffff), everything that Gloria Stefan or Celine Dion sings. But the WORST OF ALL IS “HACIENDO EL AMOR” BY DINIO (is that considered a song?). People from Spain knows what it means....
