MTV: ENDLESS PIT OF MORAL

Of course everybody knows quite well, what MTV was always capable of...specially with this “The Osbournes” show. But since “Jackass”, MTV got to the limit of dumbness...yeah, it’s the edge of stupidity and the anger raiser of every common fella that watches TV and can’t believe that someone can get paid to take a shower of dog poo (is that a bad word), havinb its eyes hitted by pepper spray among others...
But this “The Dismissal” it’s probably (I said probably, huh?) the bottom of a muddy and dirty well. I mean, now everybody chan choice and taste people like a free sample? You date with two girls, they please you the best they can as two contesting prostitutes and then you pick the one who excited you more? What the hell is that?
I don’t really think that people will start to do that (althought I don’t find impossible someone - girls or men - accepting to participate in a double date like that...maybe it will be occasional, but it will be seen)...but it won’t be explicit...but someone here and there will date at 16:00 with a girl and 20:00 with other...maybe one day with one, the following day with other...that is all damn great, isn’t it? And it’s the same for girls...
I think it isn’t funny to play with peoples’ hearts...this kind of philosophy, of dating, of thinking it’s harmful...maybe people pretend to ignore it...but the human mind is too much natural to keep on doing it forever.
In an age of disposable stuff and disposable feelings, some people (the media owners) seem to wish helping make the last spade over the people’s conscience grave...I mean, they help kicking the trash down people’s throat...you know, when you want to close the damn trash can and think: “It’s done...let me back to my television”.
Congratulations, MTV.

It’s not only MTV that has this kind of shows. You turn the tv on and all you can find is reality shows such as Bachelor, Bachelorette, Elimidate, and so on…. Dismissal is only 2 girls? Well Elimidate is 1 girl with 5 guys or vice versa. It’s horrible. And they are all American shows too.
When I was down in California, I was wondering why people would go on such shows. It was proven to me that most people in the US, specially California, really like to become famous. So they’d so anything, ANYTHING, to get there. People even work in high-class restaurants to become actors.
I like watching Jackass although I believe it’s pointless. I don’t know whether it’s just Canadian MTV that’s sucking big time or it’s like that in Europe as well. I remember European MTV was great even 6-7 years ago. They’d show amazing videos and everything about it was just great.
Tinytim: by the way, these days people would do anything for money and fame. It’s sad!

@tinytim - excellent discussion - I agree - it seems some people really enjoy watching others being trashed on television. I realize some people want to be famous, but I still cannot imagine why they would be willing to be subjected to such embarrassment and degradation on national television.
A woman I work with is a huge fan of the Bachelor and is threatening to “enter” me in the next “competition” - this cannot be a good thing...

@daminehgessle - ha ha - good question. I do not think anyone is qualified to comment on his/her own looks - I firmly believe beauty is a very subjective thing and different people see beauty in a different way. I think I am average - I do not know - ask powerpoplarry - he has my picture.
