"TPH" out in Canada!

Well, it came out... don’t know if it will be any easier to find than “TBH” was when it was released, but at least I found it at the first store (HMV) I went to (the same store that NEVER got “TBH”!). No EP for us, as promised... just the standard 15 tracks. But, special bonus - we have copy protection anyway! The only thing that made it worthwhile to wait and buy the Canadian edition was to avoid the stupid copy protection, and there it is! Argh!!

Thanks for the info!

Thank God I broke the copy protection! I was at one time depending on the Canadian release so I could make my own compilations of the new tracks! But go figure! EMI Canada tries this copy protection now as well! And to top it off and show how backwards they really are, they DO NOT include the bonus EP this time? WTF is up with that?!?! Why include it on ’The Ballad Hits’ but screw fans the next time around and not include it on ’The Pop Hits’? Where’s the logic? LOL. It just once again proves that EMI = Every Mistake Imaginable. And this time we aren’t referring to the USA alone.

So we have the Canadian release of ’The Pop Hits’ out now with *surprise* no promotion at all! And we also have the US release of ’The Ballad Hits’ with *can you believe it?* no promotion at all! Haha. It’s a complete joke. There’s no incentive for fans to buy the domestic releases when they are getting screwed every way possible.

Wake up EMI!

Okay, bitch rant is over. :)

i think im gonna buy in splecial order with the EP on it...cause i got tbh with the ep and it would be loser to have tph without it!

Couldn’t have said it any better myself, Mfan21879. I picked up The Pop Hits at a Saskatchewan location of HMV on April 15, even though the release date was supposed to be April 22. They had the standard edition (15 tracks) in stock for $20, or you can order the EP for $38.

What can you say really? I’ll definately buy the Canadian edition but do I really want to spend the money to have another one imported? Another thing. http://www.cdplus.com had TPH listed as “four bonus tracks” right up until the release date. I just checked it today and sure enough they changed it to two.

someoen told me the japaense issue has all the bonus tracks except see me and everyday on it..is it copyright protected>?

Australia Is In the Exact Same Situation Recgarding the POP Hits.

1 Cd Release. Copy Portection. No Promo.

But at least EMI Aus is releasing the Eu version in limited Quantaties.

Take It Easy.

Dave

I think the EU version ISN’T copy protected, even though the sleeve says so. I haven’t heard about anyone that has gotten that silly brower popping up when playing it in a PC. A miss by EMI or...?

Perhaps EMI forgot copy protection this time around? Kinda like they forgot to ship ’The Ballad Hits’ to stores in the US! Go figure!

Now why would they want to ship TBH to the US?? That would mean it may sell, and that’s a no-no... :) Thank god they forgot (didn’t care) to promote it at least.

TPH:

Australian : CP
Canadian: CP
EU: CP
German: CP
Taiwan [Made IN EU]: CP
Japan: ?? Probabably CP

There all Cop Protected.

Al Future roxette releases will be copy protected.

Dave

P.S. Here in Oz All New EMI Singles are CP.

Whats the deal with the copy protection stuff??

I just got TPH (EU version) and it plays fine on my comp and i can copy it using Nero and even rip to wav using my media player (Jet-audio), then convert to MP3??

Why do they bother??

Argentina: CP

Argentina: CP. I knew I forgot one

I Ripped Mine Quite Easily put the Cd in My DVD ROM Autoplay Came up and Started Playing, I switched it off then restarted.

Opened up CD EX 1.50 and all the tracks were their and I could rip them.

Then Used Nero To Burn Audio CD.

Dave

I Bought mine at www.cdwow.com WITH THE EP!!! It’s 8.99 pounds (about 21$ CND) including the shipping. I think we have a deal here!! :)

Well guys, I just got a new laptop the other day and both ’The Pop Hits’ and ’The Ballad Hits’ happily play and rip on my computer! - just like any other non copy protected CD! So I keep thinking...what is the whole point of this copy protection if I can just happily rip MP3s and wav files? Oh well, I can’t complain then! They can put copy protection on this as much as they want as long as I can still make my own files. :)
