In a research, made by Aftonbladet, 84,5 % of the Swedish people they asked, recognized him when they saw a pic on him, and 83,5 % could recognize Marie.
( They only counted persons who knew their whole name. Roxette - Per or something like it wasn´t
enough.)
Nr 1 Carola with 87,5 % .( singer)
Nr 2 Jonas Gardell ( actor & author.)
Nr 3 Lasse Åberg ( actor & author)
Nr 4 Lill -Babs ( singer)
Nr 5 PER GESSLE
Nr 6 Bert Karlsson ( director of a record company)
Nr 7 MARIE FREDRIKSSON
and 93 others...
It´s no wonder that 84,5 - 83,5 % know who they are, but I wonder where the others live that they couldn´t recognize them....

She won Eurovision Song Contest in 82 or 83 and became famous.
She´s very religious and I remember Swedish paper printed fake nude pic of her in the 80s and boy she was pissed off lol

She won Eurovision in 1991 with the song Fångad av en stormvind. By the way, great song... (having in mind it’s Eurovision, it’s wonderful).
She also took part in Eurovision I think in 1983 with a song called Främling.

certainly many people said “that’s marie!” when they saw her pic, but didn’t know her whole name...

Not a surprise Carola is number one. She’s every day on newspaper! But I think it’s little surprise Per is more famous than Marie...There has bee so much Marie on newspaper.
