it’s played out now, too many sellers, not enough buyers. and with “niggaz broke dese dayz” it’s a total bust. (my friend once sold a girlfriends used panties!!!)
Tigger, you could sell prints of your cool artwork.
I made alot of $$ doing that a few years back. :)
but shipping prices have also doubled, nay tripled so beware.

How does it work for people (like me) who don’t have a credit card or cheque account?

Just send the money in envelope (amongst two postcards). It usually works. You may also use registered mail

Graham Norton, a comic here, took a cast of the private parts of an audience member, moulded in wax and sold on ebay! :D
Complete with pubic hair, pulled out of the candle by Gillian Anderson from the X-Files!

create an account. First step.
To bid on an item, make sure you can pay the way the person asks... credit card, cheque, etc. I ONLY bid on the UK ebay, and where the person can accept payment by cheque.
You can put a proxy bid on, say the item is up to £2.00. You can bid the next bid, at if it’s 20 p increase... £2.20, OR you can say put £2.80. The bid will only show £2.20, but if anyone bids, your bid will overrun theirs until your proxy bid is passed. Say £3.00. Understand?? You can continue to bid though, unless that person has set a proxy.
When you are the successful bidder, you e-mail the person telling them how you would like to pay, and also complete pay now. So you get their payment address. Send payment, and wait for your item!
Make sure before you bid, you click on the number next to the sellers I.D. see how many positive feedback’s they have. If loads of negatives, bid with caution.
When you receive the item, leave feedback, saying how pleased, or disappointed you are with item and service you received from seller.
Don’t rate them on time the item took to arrive, if they have told you a date, as that will be the post office, NOT the seller. :)
The seller should then leave you feedback, according to the way he found you. Quickness of payment, courtesy etc.
Understand?? You can find out a lot more clicking on help on ebay. :)
