6th single ???
s-czopek said on March 31, 2003 11:01:
How can “Church of your heart” be the 6th single release from “Joyride” ???
First, “Joyride”, then “Fading like a flower”, then “The Big L” followed by “Spending my time” and then “Church...”.
That makes it the 5th single, not the 6th as it says on “TPH” inlay notes...

@ s-czopek
The writer made a mistake, that’s the reason. :) I don’t think they’ve ever counted singles that never were released...
BTW, are you really from France?
animalkingdom said on March 31, 2003 16:07:
O yea, I can remember that debate :) Greece, right? Anyway, I am sure that even M & P can’t keep a record with their ’singles’..

WITR?? is.... sorry, cant make up what that should be
japeke said on March 31, 2003 16:55:
i cant find WITR in the look for roxette, so it isn’t officially released as a single if you ask me.
japeke said on March 31, 2003 17:48:
@Vaxjoe: Then please explain me in a kind way why you think WITR was released as a single?
vaxjoe said on March 31, 2003 17:51:
because back in Joyride days i ve seen it in Top 50 hit single lists that why
japeke said on March 31, 2003 17:53:
That is very strange, because I and among with me many other Roxers haven’t heard that story, and it isn’t in TLFR as a promo or whatever....
So I really want to believe you, but I think this is a very strange story... maybe you mean another track???
vaxjoe said on March 31, 2003 17:55:
No i remember it clearly cause i never really liked WITR (back in joyride days i hated it) so when i saw it i was like “not THAT one!”
this is what happened and quite honestly it makes no difference to me if u believe me or not.
japeke said on March 31, 2003 17:58:
Well, I am really sorry, I understand it makes no difference for you if I believe your story or not, some people don’t care that much about others, but i just want to know, where, when and on what sort of material it was released, and why it isn’t in TLFR. If you can’t help me with that, than just say it...
you know, if you ask me: Roxers come together on this forum to learn from each other and have a nice talk to each other!
vaxjoe said on March 31, 2003 18:02:
I do care for other ppl but i was annoyed by your 1st response cause it was written as if I wrote a lie to impress (something u may know i dont need to do)...and as for the explanations u keep asking i dont have them...i just told u what i saw in case it connects with the “6th” joyride single claim
Thats all.
Oh and dont give me lessons why we come here...if u feel the need to do that do it to someone younger or newer in here.
japeke said on March 31, 2003 20:21:
That last sentence wasn’t to you personally... It was to everybody who read it...
Shall we relax from now on? I didn’t mean anything wrong, and that with my first post: Well maybe i couldn’t express that well because english isn’t my mother language.
Thanx for your answer.
Maybe someone else who knows more about this?

now the real question is, how could church of the heart even be a single :-P
RoxQC said on March 31, 2003 21:14:
Church of your heart was the 6th single because Do you get Excited was the 5th single!!
roxtexanet said on April 1, 2003 01:08:
I remember (“back in tha day...” (-: ) that they were debating between “Soul Deep” and “Knockin’ On Every Door” for single #5, but the American label wanted “Church of Your Heart” (as single #4... “The Big L.” was skipped in North America)and to everyone’s surprise that’s what they went with... didn’t think it was such a good choice at the time, but I came to love the song like everyone else (and it reached #4 in Canada!). “(Do You Get) Excited?” was slated for the sixth single (as we all know, a video was even shot) but then Per and Marie decided to do the “Tourism” project instead and I think it was decided to forego a sixth “Joyride” single in favour of “How Do You Do!,” which hit radio as early as May in some places.
kiwijazza said on April 1, 2003 06:21:
(Do You Get) Excited? was not a single. It was planned to be, but was cancelled...shortly after the video was made.
animalkingdom said on April 1, 2003 06:49:
@ roxtexanet
The strange thing is that they claim in the DBU booklet that they were on tour and _needed_ a single (HDYD) - as if they didn’t have anything else to release...Marie even says How is a weak track! (Have to disagree, though :)

we’re talking about official singles here witr was not an official single maybe a radio promo but not an official sinlge..KOED was supposed to be the 4th single as well...off how they changed their mind cause both smt and church didint’ do too well in the usa
