outstanding female performer/Diva
I just went with the outstanding female performer part. I don’t use the word diva much.
harriej said on March 30, 2003 12:45:
Kim Wilde in the beginning of the 80’s
Madonna in the 80’s and 90’s
Marie Fredriksson in the 8o’s and 90’s
Roxlander said on January 30, 2004 17:04:
60’s I don’t know much
70’s I guess Donna Summer, and maybe Cher.
80’s Well, my music, and there’s a lot, but I’d choose of course the queen Madonna, and perhaps Cindy Lauper, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and Olivia Newton John.
90’s Madonna again, Celine Dion (best voice of all), Mariah Carey (even when I don’t like her that much) and Whitney Houston.

YOu forgot to add a very important diva of the 21st century: Miss Damineh :).

“Marie is not a Diva!!! ;-)”
Just sometimes when she is attacked by freaky fans ;)
DaminehGessle said on February 2, 2004 17:13:
Oh thank you very much. I would like to thank my parents and my dear brother for all the love they gave me through years. Without their support I wouldn’t be here. YOu guys are my inspiration.
*tears*
Then I would like to thank my family whom I haven’t seen for quite a long time but will always be my all.
I would like to thank my friends who have stood by me through thick and thin. Thank you guys.
Freddie and Per: Thank you for everything!
And finally, I would like to thank myself for all the effort and hard work. I would like to thank myself for never giving up. Without myself, I would be nobody!
Thank you all fans. Love you always. Lets hope for a better world.

I have silly question :)
why Celine Dion is a diva?
why Marie Fredriksson is not a diva?
why? why????
Roxlander said on February 3, 2004 16:05:
My dear Madjy, for me Celine Dion is a diva because of her wonderful voice. Besides her songs are beautiful also, and... she’s got the look too ;-)

60’s diana ross
70’s donna summer
80’s cher
90’s mariah carey

:-P

I am a Roxette fan just like all of you and like Marie. Putting prejudice towards Marie and Per aside, why would MArie be a diva?! What extraordinary thing has she done?
Roxlander said on February 4, 2004 16:58:
I love Marie!! But she’s not a diva :-(
For me a diva is an icon, someone you just mention her name and everyone knows whom you’re talking about, and the things she’s done. Besides she must have a special glamour, charisma, and people imitate her in some way.
Truly divas are for example Marilyn Monroe and Madonna (love her or hate her, but you know she is).
But I guess every country could have it’s own divas. In that case Marie would be the Swedish Diva... but I don’t live in Sweden. A Swedish fan could answer that question better.

“For me a diva is an icon, someone you just mention her name and everyone knows whom you’re talking about,
Well, everybody knows who Marie Fredriksson is!
and the things she’s done.
Also everybody knows what Marie has done/is doing: singing in roxette!
Besides she must have a special glamour, charisma,
Marie certainly has charisma.
and people imitate her in some way. “
I guess there are people out there who think they are Marie when they are singing (under the shower)
