Kim Wilde was my first idol and first tape I bought was hers.
I recently bought Born To Be Wild(e) single, it rocks but didnt make very well in the charts.
If you ask me she should get some new song-writers for her, she has too much weak songs and albums.
I always liked her videos, especially You Keep Me Hangin‘ On.
Unfortunately her career is so over these days...
there are a lot young artists today and competition is very hard.

I like many of her songs, but I just know the singles, yet I heard most of her albums are very uneven. It seems her style falls somewhere between Kylie and solo Belinda Carlisle.

Has anyone heard the Song the German Mega Star Nena Recorded together with Kim Wild?
It is called, ’Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere’ this version of the song just rocks big time!! Nena is one of the greatest Female Singers ever, for the Germans, she would be exactly what Marie is for the Swedish.
The reason Nena rerecorded this Song with Kim Wild is, back in the 80’s when Kim Wild ruled the Charts in Germany, Nena started her career and her song :’irgentwie, irgentwo, irgentwann’ kicked Kim Wild off the Throne forever.
As Nena loves Kim Wild and really respects her, she asked Kim to record the song that finally “killed her off” together with Nena in English.
And the results of this new Version is flippen amazing!!!
Anyone else heard the song? It got released last year.

Kimmy is just superb.......a true 80s icon. Who Do You Think You Are and Heart Over Mind 2 personal faves along with You Keep Me Hanging On.....oh, and that Nena duet. UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bless her but now all she does is gardening programmes and a telly advert in the UK for Holland & Barrett. Tragic......she could make an unreal comeback!
