Pop Hits in canada but...

According to Capitol Music, Pop hits will be release in canada on april 22 but NO EP???

I’m going to dig deeper to find more information... maybe the EP will be release here... but the album will be release on april 22nd that for sure...

I’ll probably be getting my copy from cdwow.com, god knows if it’ll have copy protection, the canadian version of TBH I brought from play.com didn’t. Yea, I also have the Canadian release of TBH, wothout copy protection. However, I have the Taiwanese release of it, that is copy protected. Also, the Opportunity Nox single I have is copy controlled. However, you don’t have to worry about the stupid copy protection thecnology EMI / Capitol has implemented. If you insert the CD in your CD-ROM drive, it’ll automatically launch a player that starts playing the album, either in fair, or in poor quality. (The Taiwanese TBH I have plays witha quality of 160 kbps with its own player, however, the ON single plays at only 47 kbps, which means very poor sound.) However, if you close that player and start playing the disc with the sofware you normally use to play audio CDs (Real One Player, Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc), you’ll get perfect CD quality sound. You can create mp3 files of the CD and you can mke a copy of it without any problems. So that’s the copy control technology EMI so proud of. I’d be grateful if someone could just explain me what the point is in it...

I’ve been asking around about the Pop Hits as well. HMV had no clue who Roxette was. They had ONE copy of TBH a month ago and that’s gone. So they have none of that :). I couldn’t find the ATAY single here in British Columbia and I won’t be able to find ON single for sure.
Why do they release the CDs later than the rest of the world in here?!? I hate waiting. HMV has the pre-order sign in their site but when I called them, they said it’d take them 2 months to organize!!!

Well, I got the canadian edition of TBH and it DOES have the EP. I got it from www.play.com for £9.99. Am getting TPH from www.cd-wow.com for £8.99 with the bonus EP.

I tried this with my ’The Ballad Hits’ copy protected Sweden version last night. I tried ripping MP3s from the disc with Sony Spressa Play & Record. It shows only one track - and that is a 9 second track of ’A Thing About You’ in perfect quality. It’s the first 9 seconds of the song that plays. There’s nothing else. :(
Exactly which software should I use to rip MP3s of ’The Ballad Hits’ copy protected version and now ’The Pop Hits’ copy protection version??? Anyone have any suggestions?

Whatever the case, I just want a copy of ’The Pop Hits’ + EP WITHOUT COPY PROTECTION. I don’t want to have to run around trying to find a way to break the copy protection so I can make my own compilations.
