Aftonbladet, Stockholm - Roxette’s plans for yet another greatest hits compilation (to hit the shelves 3 months after The Pop Hits) is attracting a lot of interest. The latest addition to the greatest hits ’catalogue’, “Still not bored of us - screw the chorus!”, with its self-mocking title, will hit the European market in July.
Fans are writing countless letters to EMI complaining about yet another release, as well as the chosen title for this compilation. According to sources, Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson, are fed up with the way their fans force them to release material.
This third and final greatest hits compilation will mark the end of an era for them. “They have had enough,” says manager, Marie Dimberg. “Per and Marie have decided to take a well deserved break - from the industry and from the fans. This is their way of saying ’We’ve had enough’.” This third hits compilation will include all the singles left off the previous two, The Ballad Hits and The Pop Hits, respectively. Two bonus tracks will be included on this 12 track album. One of these being the last single for the duo for quite some time. “Yes, ’Myth’ and ’The Sweet Hello, The Sad Goodbye’ will be included on ’Still not bored with us’. The later will ofcourse be released as the single,” replies Miss Dimberg.
