1 million copies already!

TBH sold 1 million copies already - this is so nice, is that more successful than RS? C’mon America, get this up to Joyride! Please buy it!

How do you know?

If so, it’s working better than Room Service and I think there are still more copies to be sold. I hope it reaches the 2 million copies in the near future...
By the way, does anybody know how many copies of HAND were sold worldwide?

RS did sell 1 million quite fast. And I do not think that TBH will sell so many more copies. There is no more singles released and the album is only on the chart in two countries. Perhaps if it will be sucessfull in the states.

HAND sold two million.

The thing about compilation albums is that they’re timeless. Abba’s ’Gold’ turned out to be a big seller ten years after its original release and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ’What Hits’ has also done well lately. Madonna’s ’Immaculate Collection’ is also a great example as it just keeps on selling!

DBU sold around 4 million during the first couple of months but in 1999 the figure was 6 million or so.

i agree with animalkingdom- the compilation album a timeless–that’s what told me the woman in the music company when i saw that they order a new portion of TBH..
and also if TBH sold 1 mln without even a 1 clip on MTV–it’s quite good if you ask me and people will continue to buy it long time ...

hand sold a million copies even faster....compilation albums always sell well ...the real test is how well another studio album is gonna sell

don’t you think the us people will buy many od it? i mean to them there are many more songs than it is to us.... they will get like 10 new tracks instead of 5..... or i’m i wrong?

Well, if we count the US release of ’Don’t Bore Us’ then there’s not that many new songs for the US market. 6 I believe: A Thing About You, Breathe, Milk And Toast And Honey, Salvation, Anyone, and Vulnerable (although it was available on the music club - Columbia House & BMG - editions of CBB). However, the US version of ’Don’t Bore Us’ wasn’t the biggest seller either, so many people may get their chance to own these songs for the first time.

SO NOW WE CAN STOP DISCUSSION IF THIS IS THE END OR NOT!
I bet they´re getting some motivation for new releases because collection is doing so well.
