I think Titanic was really boring.

Being in a relationship requires sacrifices…don’t worry you’ll learn that one day :)
vaxjoe said on January 10, 2003 15:29:
:p i agree @sacrifices BUT
-i dont watch films that i dont like thats a torture not a sacrifice ;o)
sacrifice is
-staying up all nite when someones in pain and going to work the next morning
-spending all your money cause ur friend is broke and go broke yourself in the end
-let someone go their own way though u love them
-smile and try to support someone even though u re crying inside...
vaxjoe said on January 10, 2003 15:31:
but then again..thats just me
“i am the one and only

I don’t know the name in English, but in swedish it’s “stjärnor utan hjärnor”. It’s about two guys, Jay and Slient Bob. Uh... My God! And “dude, where’s my car?”. That’s NOT humour!!!

Anarem said on January 28, 2003 01:09:
Some film called “The Reflecting Skin”. It was pretentious and disturbing. It tries to be like David Lynch, but fails miserably. :-)
vaxjoe said on January 28, 2003 15:54:
stillfar lol :p
european cinema is better by far than hollywood movies...american movies are all the same...in the end they get married...they get saved...they save the world...they beat the bad “foreigners” etc etc
Jud (moderator) said on January 28, 2003 17:52:
puh so many.
I usually don’t like spanish films, I think they are quite bad in general.
To comment on some of the films you mentioned:
I saw Titanic in the cinema when it was out, and i thought it was ok, at least well done, but trying to see it a second time was a sacrifice, actually, i didnt finish watching it, too long, too boring, too much attention to the love story.
Gladiator: i didnt see it on the cinema but on a dvd, trying one of those home cinema equipments at a friends place. I found it quite boring, specially with that field where he is walking in from time to time, i didnt see it that great movie at all.
Billy Elliot was far far better, i remember i was sitting at the cinema shivering and really feeling the film.
Action movies: i usually don’t like them, some are ok to watch, but just once and when you dont feel like thinking so much, cuz you know already how it will end :P
Anarem said on January 29, 2003 03:05:
Maybe we should write about the most confusing films ever made:
- Sånger från andra våningen, a.k.a. Songs From the Second Floor
- Mishima
Not that I hated them, I just didn’t understand them, or what the fuss was all about.
@Judith: I hope you’re not lumping Almodóvar with the other Spanish films! He’s a hoot.
Ferdan said on January 29, 2003 04:31:
The last “worst” movie i´ve seen is AI.... Artificial Intelligence.... it couldn’t be more stupid.
LittleSpooky said on January 29, 2003 05:32:
You know, everyone here keeps putting down “American” films and “foreign” films (depending on where you’re at). You know... at this rate, you might as well just stay home!!!
My good grief people, there isn’t much of a choice when it comes to movies. No one says you have to like American style flicks, or Japanese style flicks... this was about a SPECIFIC movie. No matter what someone says, it starts an arguement lately between people. I’m not gonna name people, you know who you are.
Cut each other a break. No one said you had to like these types of movies. Everyone has their own tastes. I know a lot of people that liked “Arachnophobia”. Personally, I walked out on it about 1/4 the way through. Yet, I happen to like different Chuck Norris films, not for the story, but for the fact that this man has gone from nothing to something and IS a proficient Martial Artist. I can hack Titanic only once in a GREAT while.
I think Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of the greatest all time films and is considered a cult classic. My best friend can’t stand it. It makes him uncomfortable to watch it. These are only MY opinions, no one else’s. Take it or leave it.

Mission Impossible 2
After reading comments, have to change that to
Artificial Intelligence (was washed away from my memory; that’s why I did not mention it directly).
Jud (moderator) said on February 4, 2003 22:40:
I don’t like Almodóvar either, at least I dont like many of his films. For me most of the Spanish films are quite bad, the older, the worse though :P
Or the newer the better. But in general, I don’t like them.
Denstandigaresan said on February 4, 2003 23:03:
’Hannibal’, was YAWN!! Suppose to be the scariest film ever made. I was sat in the cinema thinking, ok it’ll get scary in a minute... then the credits rolled. It was the BIGGEST load of tosh ever!
harriej said on February 19, 2003 20:16:
This weekend i saw Austin Powers 2.
It was meant to be funny, but it wasn’t funny anywhere!
Vixzter said on February 19, 2003 22:11:
@Spooks - That was exactly the same point I was about to make.
Anyway....worst film I’ve ever seen.....mmmmm......worst film I’ve seen recently is:
’XXX’ supposed to be James Bond on acid.....well....the acid must’ve been bloody weak then, even the corny punch lines in the James Bond film were better than this, Van Diesel let me down. :(
Just thought of some more :
I just realized how pants ’Jurassic Park’ was after watching it again on tv last weekend.....I was hoping they’d changed the ending so that the Raptors actualy ate the entire (remaining) cast especialy the kids!
’Titanic’......oh god that was bloody boring! I’d have thrown Di Caprio off the boat right at the start....end of film! hooray ;)
Anyone ever seen ’Romeo Must Die’ with Jet Li in it? thats crap too! the good bits were in the trailer! :P
powerpoplarry said on February 20, 2003 07:01:
The last worst movie I saw was DEFINITELY XXX!! Jeez, that was bad!! It was brainless and stupid, just a big showoff of how bad Vin Diesel is as an actor!! Sure, it’s like Bond, but replace smarts with stupidity!!
Um, sure, many American movies are really bad, but there ARE a handful that are deservedly critically acclaimed and are smart. Two I can think of: “One Hour Photo” and “Minority Report”. A new one that looks great: “Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind”, and “Catch Me If You Can” looks like a smart fun movie.
I couldn’t stand “Gladiator” either, so boring I fell asleep!! And I really hate what I call STEROID movies, those with all action and no brains. I can tell the new “Daredevil” will be one of those.
harriej said on December 2, 2005 21:19:
Another really bad movie is: The Animal, with Rob Schneider.
After seeing that movie, i can never watch a movie again with that “actor” in it anymore, because it makes me think of this nightmare of a movie.
Majdy said on December 2, 2005 22:18:
