yea I know roxette are not boybands and this is not boyband site
But I want to know your opinion about the boybands sound and R&b I mean the todays music
Cause I really hate them I mean Im bursting with anger hearing their voices !!!!!!!!!!!!

ok while i do agree this is off topic I’ll hate to say this but i did buy milenium by backstreet boys, no strings attached by nsync and a single or 2 by lfo. I don’t consider them artists just great interpreters of well written songs....kinda like aerosmith didn’t write dont wanna mis a thing but their interpretation of it is amazing. it also doesn’t hurt that alot of them are closetcases

I don’t like but I don’t hate, and of course I don’t love. Their music doesn’t mean much for me. I have to admit I liked a song by the Back Street Boys called “As long as you love me”, though I never bought a record or anything from them.

Well, I’m not going to lie. I’ve bought CDs by “boybands.” That’s because I’ve found some of the songs they sing very good, not because they wrote them necessarily.

The problem with “boybands” is that image often comes first, and that’s unfortunate for real musicians who produce real, quality music themselves and are shelved in favor of this “manufactured” music. That’s where I get a bit angry. Yet there are big stars like Celine Dion - who has a wonderful voice - yet is in the same category since her music is written for her. The difference is that she doesn’t use her image to sell but rather her voice.

However, there are some “boybands” out there who are attractive yet have talent as well - and often their talent may be overlooked.

So it works both ways.

So I hate “boybands” because image is most important but I like them for some of the music they sing.

i cant find good music in any boybands i know (well doesnt matter how they look) but i can say that in the past , when the boyband thing was unpopular as today , there were some good of them like “new kids on the block” ect......but i didnt like them eather...sorry

Absolutely NOT.
It is the most terrible music there is.
Esspecially Westlife, The Back Street Boys and other crap are real bad.
I mean..... you can not seriously compare it to the great music of Roxette (At this moment I’m listening to the beatiful My World, My Love, My life, just to erase the memory of boybands).

Well, I’m not a fan of boybands in general, cuz of the image they portray, and I’m a str8 guy, but once in awhile, a song will hit big that becomes a guilty pleasure, like some of N’Sync’s songs, but I don’t own any boyband CDs, no. I can appreciate some of the craft that goes into the writing and producing, like the tracks from Cheiron Studios in Sweden, by Max Martin and Andreas Carlsson. Basically, I’m not into all-guy vocal-only groups, I prefer REAL bands!! Um, the Beatles, Duran Duran, etc, never were boybands, cuz they were real bands, playing instruments.

Um, Fingerbang RULE, and both Dujour (“Backdoor Lover”, “Dujour Around The World”) and 2gether were pretty funny tho...

Hey, Cowboy, I would be interested to know who the Gay fella is, as my little sister loves Westlife to bits, I just hope the gay fella is not the one she fancies the most, would be sad to burst her bubble...
I must say, Boybands in general are not my cup o’ tea, but Westlife are great.
And Westlife also do have fast songs, just think of: When you’re looking like that, Bad Girls, World of our own... oh, they even have got such a cool techno dance version of Bob bob baby!! I just think they rule and are one of the greatest bands in the world. I love their music and I think they are really talented. And I am happy that they are Irish! :-) irish singers and Groups are the Best!!
