A LIVE ALBUM??

HEY......please let me introduce myself> my name is ami , i am 23 years from israel...and it really makes me good to see they r crazy fans like me (and even more) from the beginning of” pearls of passion” and “the look”.the album i most listen to is ” a perfect night” a live performance of roxette from 1993! the best ever with great jazz start of the “soul deep ” song. i havent been yet in a live performance of roxeete , althought it is my best wish and dream , but i know that they have great live shows so this is my question -
why do roxette have only one live album ( a perfect night) during all those 16 years??? ( ok , ok , not including the joyride and the look songs from the teurism album) . i think they should do a live permormance album. thanks!!!

Roxette doesn’t have any live album, I guess that’s a bootleg.
Ferdan said on December 10, 2002 17:53:
yep and with a recording error, it is pitched down a half tone.
*edit, i´m wrong, the bootleg recorded a half tone down is A night to remember*

santi i am sorry but u r wrong. the ” perfect night ” album was released in 1993 unfortunately not in a large worldwide releasing. but i am not really sure, mybe it was a limited releasing . but i got this album and the songs r from the look and joyride albums. anyway the album is great. but i really think they should have another live ones after those last years instead of realising other collections of best songs

it’s not an official release mon-ami. However, I agree, it’s about time for a live album, afterall Rox is an incredible live band!

Well, maybe there will be one day a brand new studio-album with loads of brandnew songs. After the following tour they could release a Live-Album, which is a gr8 idea, indeed!
And for all the fans, who won’t buy a Live-album, because you can download most of the shows at roxbytes ... ;) .... they could release a limited edition - a 2CD-Set, the second CD should be ... FINALLY ... the unplugged show!!!

@Santi - I’d love to see Rarities here in New Zealand sometime. Hehe. ;)

maybe add GET BORED,BY ANOTHER TAURUS too...this would be a compilation of their music to be listen in a car!
Sascha said on December 11, 2002 07:44:
A live album would be amazing! The roxbytes downloads are audience and webcast recordings that don’t match the quality of an official release by far...
mon-ami said on December 11, 2002 18:07:
ok ok ....so the ” a perfect night ” album is not an officiall one , but it is a great one ! i dont remember the record company but it wasnt emi or roxette recording of course

about time for a double live album, ’ The Best Live Songs’ voted by the fans LOL
Majdy said on December 16, 2002 04:29:
A perfect night? never heard it! what songs on it anyway?
I guess Roxette should release a live album. it’s better than release an album which we already heard it....
I hope there will be the second tourism or something...

A perfect night is a bootleg. As far as I know it is 1991 and not 1993, because (as you off course all know) Roxette wasn’t touring in 1993. Otherwise it is the MTV unplugged.
JAAP

” a perfect night ” is a double cd , with 21 songs in total. it was realized unofficially in 1992 (not 1991 and not 1993...:)) . anyway it is a great album , and i think i listen to it more than the other albums mybe because i havent been so far in roxette live prformance...but i will. it has a nice jass intro with a distorsion guitar solo of the “soul deep ” song. and a nice hard rock version of “hotblooded”. there is a large participation of the crowd in the “listen to your hurt” song. i am not sure in which contries exactly this album was realized. anyway in the cover of the album u can see a nice orange sunset.
because the performance in this album is so great and amazing i thought it will be a good idea of a live album , but an officiall one at least.
sorry a wrong information -
yes it was realized in 1993 and not 1992 sorry. that what it says on the disc. but i dont know where was the performance. i just guess it was not in sweeden because marie speaks with the crowd all the time in english

@ mon-ami
I think the recording is from London’s Wembley Arena.
Ferdan said on December 10, 2002 17:44:
hi ami, i don’t think they should at this moment of their career.... maybe 4 compilations ago was the time of releasing a live album...
we got too many greatest hits..... a great ided would have been instead of releasing those same songs time after time... releasing a Live greatest hits....
but oh well... with Roxette lately you never know when you’re gonna get another compilation....
