Volume on TBH

After a couple of weeks I still think that the loudness of some songs on TBH doesn’t really match each other. For example ATAY is quite low and then *BOOM!* IMHBL bombs in! Or the bass in TWOTW, I always have to turn the volume down in my car-stereo!
I never had this problems with other rox-albums. Do you get the same experience?
[btw, it’s the german edition]

HAND is very loud, but it works because the production is fabulous!
As for ’The Ballad Hits,’ well I haven’t really noticed much difference in volume. Yeah, it seems like “A Thing About You” is a bit lower. Also, in comparison to the volume on ’Room Service,’ “Milk And Toast And Honey” seems to be a bit louder.

HAND and TBH: George Marino/Sterling Sound NYC (almost all rox-albums)
Room Service: Cutting Room, Sweden

Well, in fact it’s what all bands look for, to get the loudest song on the radio...
Maybe on A Thing About You the mastering was a little more complicated since they used tracks (voice and acoustic guitar) from the original demo, and I guess the equipment used when doing the demo was not as good as in most of the other tracks...
Could it be? I dunno.

Yes, but usually all songs on the radio get compressed to the same volume level nowadays... bad luck! ;-)
