EMI or Capitol?

9 replies

Hej! Could somebody explain me one thing I don’t understand? All Roxette albums are usually released by EMI. From the articles on TDR I’ve understood that TBH is also released by EMI. But when I bought TBH and took a look on it I saw a Capitol Records sign there.. After all, what company has released TBH?

EMI and Capitol are the same company. They are just not using the name “EMI” in pop music anymore. EMI Classical will stay. Don’t ask me why.

Thanx! :o))

Both are the same thing which is not promoting Roxette!

To be fair, EMI is doing huge TV-promotion for TBH.

EMI is the record-company. It owns the labels capitol, virgin and many more. They don’t use the name EMI as a label anymore.

just a reminder to anoye confused in the usa they will be on atlantic capitol records i believe

@Sascha: Explain huge.

Primetime ads on several major TV-stations, to be continued before christmas. Alone 500.000 € for german-speaking market.

And you call that “HUGE”?
