Is EMI Canada just stupid?

So “The Ballad Hits” was supposed to be released on November 5th in Canada... but it got pushed back to November 12th. So I went down to the record store to get it this morning... well... EMI Canada decided to push it back... yet again... to November 26th. So I can’t buy it from the store... yet I can get the Canadian release online...? And the record companies wonder why no one buys CD’s anymore.

Didn’t someone say that it’s already available in Ontario? Damn it, I couldn’t wait to finish work today..

I’ve already bought it in Ontario (Waterloo)... a friend of mine also bought it in Sarnia! But it really does seem that EMI has no real idea of when the CD is coming out... if you have it in your area, try Sunrise Records (my friend got hers at Sam’s... Hi Jen!). Good luck...

I Just bought my copy of The Ballad Hits Today at HMV in Quebec City. They received it last week. And on HMV.com thet’ll ship within 24 hours so i think EMI release it. But they don’t know they released it!! :)

I checked CD Plus today and they were the ones that told me it wouldn’t be released until November 26th. HMV.com said that it was released on the 11th and Music World had no idea who Roxette even was. So that makes three CD stores in my town that don’t have it. Actually... we only have three record shops. I think I might just have to order it online. I also sent EMI Canada and E-Mail... I can’t wait to get their response.
By the way... I live in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario.

Does that question even bear a comment?? *lol* At least EMI USA’s gone... but that could be a bad thing....

I’m thinking that maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy the CD online through HMV. I mean, despite their ridiculously high prices at their regular stores, they have a lot more selection than some of these other record chains we have in Winnipeg. But before I go the online route, I’m going to A & B Sound, they carry “Baladas En Espanol” and “Room Service”, so why not Roxette’s latest?
(I do wonder sometimes, am I the only Roxette fan in Winnipeg?)

I’ve just bought The Ballad Hits from HMV in Oxford in the UK and to my surprise it was Made In Canada!!

In my town it is so hard trying to find any Rox albums. Music World only carries to albums... their latest album and a greatest hits. Nothing else... so when we finally do get “The Ballad Hits” Room Service is gonna be taken off the shelf for good here. I just hope that when it is finally released her on the 26th it still has the bonus EP with it.

I still don’t understand how come people can have the Canadian release of the album on several parts of the world if it’s not released...
StillFar said on November 13, 2002 16:10:
why? the CD is already available in some parts of Canada....

I got a response back from EMI today. They said that the ballad hits was released on the 12th... which begs the question why did all the record shops tell me the release date get pushed back?

I though simple EMI was just stupid, without country names...
